Don't know whether there are signs to the Studios from IG, but what you'll be doing is walking from IG to the Boardwalk, and from Boardwalk to the Studios, and there should be signs for those. Thanks all
And of course I have another question.....lol.
When leaving through International Gateway (on foot) are there signs pointing us to the trail to H.Studios? And are they lit up?
Glad to have discovered this thread on Dis. We are going from AKL to Olivia's (for lunch) at OKW, but this I guess can only be done by way of busses. So my question is that after we are done dining at Olivia's, we are going to be heading to DHS. Is there a boat that can take us to there from Olivia's?
TIA
If you'd like to ride a boat, you can do it on the way to lunch, but you'll need to allow extra time.Sorry, but no, your only option would be to take a bus from the HH area bus stop ( just outside of Olivas ) to DHS.
If you're in a hurry a taxi will get you there quicker.

Basically, when you leave IG, walk up the hill and left across the first bridge to the BW, which is a big crescent shape. At the other end of the crescent, turn left again and that path will take you under the road right to the Studios.
There is a shortcut where you can turn left before you reach the end of the BW and come out by the pool, but I'm not familiar with it so I'll leave it for someone else to describe.
Last month during the beginnings of my disney research, I found a park map with estimated walking times between attractions. Do you think I can find it again? I thought I saved them. Nup. I thought I bookmarked them. Nup. Searching my history brings on major firefox crashage as usual. I suffered through checking my history but still couldn't find what I was trying to find. Maybe I dreamt finding Disney maps with estimated walking times between attractions?

I think the maps in the Passporter have walking times.
I would still be out at the bus stop an hour before rope drop....but remember, you will have a lot of company. This is a very popular time of day to head out.Okay, I need help again ...
We moved resorts and are now going to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter.
We are planning to make rope drop at MK & HS ... not sure if it's worth it for AK.
How long will it take to get there from our new resort? Should we still be at the bus stop an hour prior to rope drop?
Depends on the time of year. If the park is open really late, then sure, head back to the resort. Yes, Kidani is kind of remote, but I never thought we were too far away from stuff...just plan accordingly. So we are staying at AKL - Kidani Village for the first time on our next trip and I'm wondering about transportation time to the Magic Kingdom. Does the resort's remote location make it too time prohibitive to come back for a brief rest in the afternoon? We only have one day at the MK (I know, it's terrible) and I want to make the most of it!

Also...I love being at AK for rope drop. But, that's just me.
It's not that I enjoy rope drop, per se, at AK so much, it's that I love being among the first to enter the park. I walk fairly quickly so I get to move about the park with few others. An hour before, even if we are farther away from the park at the new resort? Yes, I understand ... we once did rush hour in the subways of Tokyo ... we can handle cramped!
May I ask why you enjoy AK rope drop? We're thinking we might, but not sure.

Even though your new resort 'seems' to be further away from a park, they are all pretty equidistant by bus. Other than AKL, I just don't think there is all that much difference in resort bus times to AK....but I'm not actually timing the ride.
Mhmm, that's exactly why we were thinking of going to rope drops for all parks we're visiting, we want to make sure we can get things doneI don't think the rope drop show itself is that big of a deal, but if you're there at rope drop, you will be able to get more done in those first 2-1/2 hours than you will the whole rest of the day.
Being first must feel very magical ^_^
I understand about the distance lol and I don't expect anyone times the ride unless their sole purpose is to post the times on here
Thanks so much for your input! We'll be sure to be at the bus stop an hour before rope drop

Oh, believe me...I'm not looking for 'magical'...not even looking to be 'first'..I just want to get in there and get started. If I waited to get there until right around 9ish, I would be at the very back of the entering pack..hate that. I want to be in the first group.
And I have actually sat there, with paper and pen in hand, to time travel. BUT..generally speaking it's only for DME times. I don't much care about the resort to park times. I pretty much know how much time to allot in the morning.
