Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

for the 9:30 show on an evening EMH night (MK open until 1am)

If we take the boat, is Pioneer hall close to the boat dock? And I assume the boat will still be running when the show lets out. Never even thought about going to this show (last time was 22 years ago!) and DD calls today & asks, with 10 days left to the trip, if we could . I told her no way we could get ressies this late but called anyway. I was amazed to get Cat 1 seating for the only night we really could go. Yes, its very late but we're big kids now and all you can drink sangria!!!!

I'm not going to tell her til we get off the boat. She thinks we're going to Whispering Canyon.

Pioneer Hall is a short walk up from the boat dock...takes less than 5 mins. It's my preferred way to go.

how long does the boat ride take? She better appreciate this. I'm giving up MSEP and Wishes for her!!!!

Depends on wait times. The actual boat ride, to MK, is about 20 mins, if I remember correctly.
I know that my adult dd seldom appreciates anything I end up doing...especially when it comes to WDW stuff. She tends to just assume it's all about her....:lmao:

the sacrifices we make :worship:

AK closes at 5, and we're staying at CB and have dining reservations at 7:30 at the Flying Fish Cafe (BW). Thought we'd close AK, clean up in room, then head to dinner:

Would you.............bus to Epcot, walk all the way through to the back?
Would you.............bus to HS, walk or boat to IG?
Would you.............take a cab?
:confused3:confused3:confused3

*We'll have our car but don't want to drink & drive, or be a DD on vaca!* :woohoo:

If you truly stay right to close, you might get to the AK bus area around 5:15. Buses out will be stopping at BB, so you might not get back to your room until 6-ish.

Unless you can be in and out of the room in 15 minutes, I think you'll need to take a cab.

If you can be at the CBR bus stop by 6:15 (or 6:30 if you don't mind possibly being a few minutes late), you can bus to DHS, and walk unless you see a boat coming in or you're at DHS by 6:50.

I have NEVER made this many changes to park days, ADRs EVER!!! Now we are Hoop-dee-doing on Tues 8/30, 9:30 show (Had to take Cat 2 as oppossed to Cat 1 which we had on 9/4 but I get to see MSEP & Wishes this way) when MK closes at 9PM. I know I can still take the boat TO FW but now how do I get back to POP? Maybe I can still get the boat back to MK but will the resort busses still be running from there as I expect it'll be more than 2 hrs after park close. If not, can I take the boat to WL or the Cont. and then a bus to DTD and a bus to POP? I know that will take TIME! We also have a car available. Should we park at the TTC and could we get back there after the late show? Boat to Cont - monorail to TTC? Will the monorail still be running?

I think I need an intervention. Somebody stop me!!!!!

Calm down ... breathe ... that's better.

There are buses from the late HDD directly to the resorts. HDD cm's will direct you. The buses do stop at several resorts, so it could take an hour or so to get to your resort.

If you somehow don't get on a bus: the monorails definitely will not be running. The boat to CR/WL runs until 11:30 p.m. But the FW buses run until 2 a.m. or later. You can take a bus to either WL or the Outpost, from there get a bus to DTD until midnight or later, and then a bus to Pop. Altogether, the trip should take no longer than about an hour and a half.

We are doing a platinum plan so trying to jam a lot of fun in 1 night.... We have 5:00 Hoop, 7pm carriage ride, and 9 pm Cirque de Soleil. At about 7:30 am I better off taking the internal FW bus system to my car at the outpost or the boat to WL where I'm staying to get the car. Definitely driving to DTD. Thanks!

a bus directly (more or less) from FW to POP would be fine. We don't mind a convoluted trip, especially with SEVERAL sangria's in me :thumbsup2

Park your car at the Outpost

Checking in at POR @6am. Can we make rope drop at 7am? We will have a car, but I'm thinking the bus would be a better option.

You should be able to. If checkin doesn't take too long. Then, depending on your wait time for a bus. If you just missed the bus you want, it could be 15 mins before the next one comes along.

What is the easiest way to get from AK Park to MK Park? We are going from one to the other directly since we will be attending MNSSHP.

Are there direct busses, still? I'm hoping for that! Otherwise what would be best.

TIA

Yes there are direct buses but I can't remember if the bus goes to TTC or straight to MK.

Bus to TTC, and then monorail or ferryboat to MK.

Just wondering how I'd get from BC to Saratoga Springs Spa? Will the trip undo the effects of my relaxing massage?

If your appointment is not first thing in the morning you have several choices, if it is the taxi may be your only option.

1. take boat or walk to DHS and then a bus from there to SSR.
You could go through Epcot also and bus to SSR, but that would require admission to Epcot and walking approx 1 mile to the bus stop
2. take bus from BC to DTD (marketplace bus stop) and then walk from there to the spa, approx .6 mile.
3. take a taxi from BC to SSR, approx cost $12-$15 plus tip

Plan an hour or more for options 1 & 2, and 15 min for the taxi.

reverse options to return to BC
