Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

:guilty: oh.... for some reason I thought there were DTD buses there too... and water park buses.....hmmmmm I wonder why I imagined that.... :confused3
Nope. I believe the water park buses can be included in the AK and DHS buses. TL would go on the DHS bus (if it is included) and BB would be included with AK buses...but again, not sure if that's how they are running.

There are no buses to DTD from any parks...and TTC is considered to be part of MK. If you want to get to DTD from TTC, just walk over to the Polynesian or take the monorail over. Will work for the water parks as well.

No water parks from TTC. Same as DTD -- walk to the Poly, or take the resort monorail to any resort to transfer.

After 11 a.m., one can also take the bus from TTC to DHS for a transfer to BB (but not TL).

Hi, I need some help with a breakfast @ Chef Mickey @ 7:10am. There will be 17 of us boarding the bus @ Movies and I will be riding an electric scooter. Will there be a bus for us this early? I have been to DW many times but never driving a electric scooter. How much trouble will I have getting on the disney buses?
Thanks

I don't know exactly what time the first bus is, but you should be at the bus stop 1 hour before your ADR time. It could be up to a 20 minute wait for the bus to MK.

Mobility scooters are no problem, as long as they're not exceptionally large.

At that hour, there's a good possibility the driver will be able to drop you off. If not, it's about a 10 minute walk to the Contemporary from the MK bus area.

Thanks...kinda hoping you would be along to give the right water parks info!!

That's going to be a close one. The buses start running at 6:30. You will have to be out at the bus stop by 6:15 to be sure to be on that first bus. Hopefully there will be just your one ECV on that bus....at that hour, most likely. When you board the bus, ask the driver what is going to be faster to CM's...walking or the monorail...since you have to be there by 7. Yes, your ADR is at 7:10 but you are supposed to check in a bit early at the podium.
The driver may very well offer to drop you off right at the CR, either on the way to MK (if there is no one else on the bus that needs to get to MK) or on the way out of MK.
If the driver doesn't make that offer, then walk. The monorail doesn't start up until 7...walking takes less than 10 mins.

Easiest way to get from AK to DTD?

Also, MK to HDDR (Fort Wilderness)?

Thanks!
From AK...bus to AKL, transfer to DTD bus there. Or, take the SSR bus from AK and walk over to DTD.

MK to HDDR....boat to FtW. Or walk over to the CR and take the boat from there to FtW. The boat dock is a very short walk away from Pioneer Hall and HDDR.

I have a question re: which parks have a bus directly linking them . A CM at the Contemporary told me that all parks are linked by buses !! Is she right ???

What she should have said is that there is transportation between all theme parks,
but ...

There's no direct transportation between MK and any park. A connection must be made at TTC: it's monorail or ferry between MK & TTC, and monorail or bus between TTC and the other park.

All park-to-park trips not involving MK have a direct bus.

There is no direct transportation between DTD and any park, nor between Typhoon Lagoon water park and any park.

We plan on watching Wishes from the Poly beach our first night and I was just curious as to what would be the best way to get from the Poly back to Pop.
With the new monorail hours will we be able to get on the monorail after wishes is done, ride back to MK and then get on a bus to Pop?
Or is there possibly a quicker way to get back to Pop while avoiding all the lines at MK after park closing?

You should be able to get on the resort monorail from the Polynesian to MK right after Wishes. Then, you can get the bus to Pop. But, keep in mind that by the time you get to the MK, you will have a lot of company at the bus stop.
You should be able to get the little boat back over to MK as well. Since you'll already be on the beach, I would head over to the boat dock as Wishes is ending, or when you see the boat leaving the GF. Then, you can finish watching the show from the dock and then boat right over to MK.

That is what I thought, but she definately said buses !!!I knew about the MK monorail and TTC ,so was hoping they had added the bus link from MK !!Oh well !!At least I know we can bus it between the other parks !! Thanks

Need to get to the Pavilion for BBQ from the Boardwalk Villas on Thanksgiving. I was planning on doing the HDDMR but our plans have changed. Not sure if the advice for HDDMR would also apply for the BBQ. Thanks

Update - After reading some other posts, it looks like our best bet is boat from MK to FW. I would like to confirm this. I just love the information that one can find on the DisBoards...

From AK to:
DHS, bus stop #15
Epcot bus stop #13
TTC/MK, bus stop #14

What is Bus Stop #15 exactly? Where does it go?

Each park bus area has specific numbers for a specific resort. You will see a large board, or two, at the beginning of the bus area. It will give a resort name and then the number stop.
So, in your case, I'm assuming you're starting at Animal Kingdom and heading to these other parks...so, the bus stop for DHS is going to be #15...you will see numbers hanging down from the roof of each covered area....there can be up to 8 in one area.
It will be very obvious when you see it.
