I don't think it was ever explicitly said who the mother of the future kid is. His name was Noah though, right? Has that timeline already been changed? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't name my kid after someone who slit my throat. *winks* I agree that the beach scene with Sylar/Elle was well done (and by that, of course, I mean hot, lol).

So many inconsistencies this show. Let's put the eclipse aside and look at some other things.

1) The Haitian acts like a dampening field so whoever he is around can't use his/her power. So how was Nathan able to fly Baron S into a car and how was Baron S able to heal? How close does the Haitian have to be? Also how fast did the pewers come on, again? Just presenting another side!!

2) When Ando was translating between Hiro and Seth Green, why was his English in an America accent? And why does it sound like Korean acented Japanese? Small things can make it interesting. It took me long enough to figure out why Hiro was talking Japanese only. At 10, that was all he knew!

3) What took Noah so long to shoot Gabriel and Elle? He had the gun trained on them during the kiss. Why wait until after the lovin'? Umm.. either it was fast, or he was enjoying the show?
Some questions for the next ep:
1) Does Peter have his ability back? NO! Since his dad took his power is he still completely without powers, or did the eclipse make him able to start collecting abilities again? Not that we know of. BTE has some info on it. They say it won;'t be easy for him to get them back.
2) Is Sylar killing Elle or giving her a warning by cutting her a little? Is she the mother of his future child or has that future already been changed? That is why it is a cliffhanger! I think he didn't, cause she wasn't as loud as when he did it in level 5. If she is the mamma, no time to have had him then. And that future may have changed, since things in their timeline have changed.

What I don't like:
1) The re-emergence of 9th Wonders - That was done Season 1 Yeah, but it will close the loophole on what the messanger did with Issac's sketch book that he gave him before he died.2) Matt and Dapne - No chemistry Not sure. I see some, but I have a distrustful handicapped person so I know how they respond. She is nervous and afraid of going back to what she was to be trustful.What I love:
1)Zachary Quinto as Sylar/Gabriel - When he is evil, he is terrifying. When he is struggling to be good, you cheer him on. The last scene between him and Elle was fantastic. I loved how Sylar lowered Elle to the sand, interlaced his fingers with hers, and slowly kissed her. She was completely seduced. (I know I was.) Then BAM! The return of a bad guy.

Pretty sure it has, as things have changed in their current timeline. And while I understand the psychological implications of Claire seeing that her father really does love her, what greater point does it serve? Not sure, except maybe to bring Hiro with/to his younger self? speculation only. Hiro is there to get his memory back; how does getting Claire to go warm and fuzzy on her dad being warm and fuzzy to her as an infant help him recover it? See last comment. I wonder if young Hiro helps older Hiro find out things about his dad? or the formula?

I had the same question about Nathan and the Hatian. I read somewhere that the Hatian can turn his power on and off, too, so I guess maybe he had it off at that time. The larger question is, why was he acting like it was so hard to attack his brother? BTE says they cut the section where he had just found out it was his brother. The brother's power was being impenetrable. Wouldn't being around the Hatian make him...penetrable? I think his power was to never die. He seemed to "repair himself" after being slammed by Nathan into the truck grill. Then the Hatian could've shown the villagers that his brother really wasn't a god, and happily returned him to level 5...

So many questions, so looking forward to the answers!

Oh, yeah, and glad to see they are addressing some older questions that were left hanging.

I'm pretty sure the Hatian's brother's power is (was, I guess, lol) being impenetrable, which is slightly different from the healing powers that Claire and Adam have/had. He *can't* get hurt, as his skin can't be pierced, so he wouldn't have to heal. Peter mentions something about "making him bleed," presumably to show the villagers that he isn't a god at all.

The "Villians" storyline ends next week. After that, the next new episode is February 2, the beginning of the "Fugatives" storyline.

I'm glad you guys liked it, but alas, this week's storyline didn't do much for me. It's starting to go the way of season 2 for me, which doesn't bode well. I keep up hope, however, that they will get me back! The beginning of this season was so good! Random thoughts:

*Killing Elle still doesn't sit well with me. I really feel that Kristen Bell's contractual obligation or whatever ended, so they decided to just kill her off. There was NO REASON for Sylar to go crazy like that, and back to his old self.

*I'm glad Sylar has the lie detector power now, because he's SO GULLIBLE! Anything anyone tells him, he automatically believes. You're my mom? Sure! You're my dad? Sure! He isn't my dad? Sure! Good grief.

*The Tracy character is really boring. She doesn't do much. I never thought I'd say it, but I miss...uh...Micah's mom. At least she had the whole dual personality thing to make her interesting. Anyone else recognize the marine from another good sci-fi show, the 4400? Figured he'd be sticking around for an episode or two as soon as I recognized him.

*The bike messenger manager has been holding on to the sketchbook for a year? In a safe? Really? That seems pretty unlikely. He wouldn't have sold it, or gotten rid of it?

*How does Papa Patrelli's powers work? Does he have teleportation too? (besides Hiro's power, I mean) They never explained how he got to the desert to kill Mr. Africa or how he got to the past to "kill" Hiro.

*Hiro, Hiro, Hiro. You act all important, then lose the light within like ten minutes. Lame.

*What's with the light anyway? Almost everything in the Heroes universe has been based in science. What's scientific about a glowing light? Felt like they were grasping at straws.

I totally missed how Peter got his scar. He went to shoot his dad, Sylar stopped him, and suddenly Peter's cheek was bleeding. Did Sylar do that somehow? Our DVR was on the blink, so we were watching it old-school, with no rewind. Oh, the horror. ;-)

Purplegirl: Papa took Peter's powers and Peter could time travel so I figure that's how he can.

So what's the deal with Sylar? Does he have all his powers back? It seems like he does but if he does then why doesn't he just be around people to take their powers, like Peter? He did that with Elle at Pinehurst. Is he just back to his old self and thats why he's cutting people's heads off again?

I wonder if Papa Petrelli's really dead.

When will Nathan stop being such a putz? I swear he's on the right path and then BAM he screws it up!

Ah, you're right about Peter/Papa! Thanks. Now the only question is, how did Arthur know how to go back to that exact moment?

Arthur was trying to show Sylar that he could take the powers without killing, but he had to have empathy for his "victims" (which sounds a little too touchy feely for me, but oh, well). That's why it worked with Elle. I figure this Sylar doesn't want to take the time to get to know his victim; he looked like he really enjoyed killing this time around ("I forgot how good this feels"). I had to laugh at the scene in the elevator though. Really, Sylar? You couldn't take the time to wash your hands? Classic.

I agree about Nathan. What the heck is he doing? He's so inconsistent!

You can't ask questions like that. If you can't let your mind just accept what is on these TV shows, you'll drive yourself crazy. Arthur probably has the power of omniscience.

I'm wondering, too, how they will prevent Arthur from healing himself when the Haitian is gone. Maybe they'll behead him and burn it like they do with vampires.

Actually, omniscience would explain how Papa knew that Peter was in the building (when he suddenly excused himself from the meeting with Mohinder-Spider, Boring Tracy, and What-Is-He-Thinking Nathan). Of course, that didn't help him know the Hatian was there, but that can be explained away that the Hatian can shield himself, which actually makes sense.

OK, let's go with omniscience. At some point, they should probably just list what powers Arthur *didn't* have! P.S. I hope that Peter gets his powers back. I was pretty psyched when Arthur offered the formula to him, magical light or no.

What was most amazing about this show is that Sylar was the villian for two years. This year they made him the hero. This past episode, they turned him into the villian again, but even worse than before. He already had Elle's powers, but he killed her anyway. He killed the human lie detector which was expected. Then he killed the party-goers. (at least it appeared that way)

Then when Peter is about to get himself killed, Sylar shows up and becomes the Hero of the moment. Saving Peter's life and saving him from having to kill his dad.

Of course, DH and I were wondering why he didn't take the Haitian's power..
(BTW, does the Haitian even have a name? He is always called the Haitian..)

Say what? Which thread are you referring to?

Heroes is the strongest drama on NBC at this point, with a Renew/Cancel index of 1.50. On NBC, only the comedy The Office is stronger (at 1.64). Even with NBC eliminating three hours for next fall (plus two hours it won't "refill") to account for adding Leno at 10PM five nights a week, Heroes seems very safe.

Chuck, on the other hand, isn't so safe.
