Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

Ok what happened? I watched last week and this week and I did not see anything go one between the QB & the cheerleader...so what did I miss?

Okay, last week...Going on memory here, so it may not be exact, but it is the jist of it....

Bonfire at night. Claire's all shy, talking to the QB near the fire. He says she should have put firecrackers in the effigy's head (Claire made the opposing teams mascot to burn). He sneaks a couple firecrackers in and she jumps and giggles. He persuades Claire to walk with him. Light brown haired girl looks anxiously at them as they walk away.

QB and Claire are on some bleachers, being a little flirty. He says he likes her, she likes him, they kiss. He starts to get handsy. She stops him. He gets more rough about it, and laughs at her. She pulls away from him, a little violently. He grabs her and throws her to the ground, with serious daterape implications, except her neck/head is impaled by a tree branch/root. She's definitely dead...

Switch to a different Hero storyline. When we see Claire again, she's on the table. Tree root is pulled out. She gasps and wakes up....only to find her chest split open in an autopsy...fade to black until next week.

OK, I could swear that I read somewhere that a new character is being introduced soon, one who is a criminal but as the ability to keep excaping from jail. There is an african-american guy joining the cast very soon... thinking maybe this is Micah's criminal father? Which would give Micah TWO mutated parents, so I'm wondering when they'll reveal what his power is...

I absolutely love this show! What a great concept! I just got finished watching the last episode that I TIVO'ed. WTH? Did Claire just try to kill the QB in that car accident? I know she only did it because DUH! it wouldn't hurt her at all! I think I would've done the same thing to that jack-a**. Only if I were her though. Shoot, he killed her, so she killed him back (I think). And that new African-American dude is creepy. What is it with him and Claire's dad? What are they? What are their powers? Also, is Claire's dad Sylar? I hope I'm not spoiling anything but that show gets my adrenaline sky-high . Do you think that was Claire's dad that tried to get that little girl and disappeared after Matt shot him? If not, than WTH?

And LOL at Simone for getting caught. Her man knew she was gonna cheat 7 weeks before she did it. She better get with the program and stop all the doubt.

And I love Niki! But I think that there's also a reason for Micah. I just don't know what it is. There's something more in this for him than just being the cute little genius kid.

And who do you think was chasing Claire in Isaac's vision and painting?

Okay, I watched the episode again and just wanted to ask a few questions and make a few points:

-What motivated Mohinder to approach Nathan Petrelli at the beginning of last nights episode? Why does Mohinder think that Sylar is targeting Nathan Petrelli? Did I miss something from a previous episode?

-Do we know for sure that the mysterious stranger with Mr. Bennett is Sylar?

-Claire was not raped. There is no mention in the autopsy report of sexual assault. She was killed before Brody was able to rape her. Oh, and I loved it when Zach called her "little miss Miracle Gro". And I don't think Brody is dead. I think Claire was trying to teach him a lesson(extreme). He probably had a seatbelt on and some airbags.

-Hiro and Peter somehow know each other in the future.

-When Niki beat up the goon in the elevator, after changing into her alter ego, she said "If you threaten our son again..." What does that mean? Could Niki's alter ego really be someone taking over her body while she is blacked out? Maybe the mysterious stranger(Sylar?) is really Niki's ex and one of his powers is to control someone with his mind.

-Linderman, Who is he? He has direct connections to Niki and Nathan. Also Nathan and Peter's dad.

For anyone that is interested, they will be playing 3 episodes back to back on Sunday, October 22. They will air chapter 2: Don't Look Back, chapter 3: One Giant Leap, and chapter 4: Collision. Starts at 8pm easter time.

I am pretty sure that passenger side airbags weren't available in a Camaro. So I think he is dead or darn close. Unless Hiro comes back in time to talk Claire out of killing him. With Hiro around nothing is for sure.

Mohinder found Syler's apartment and a map locating those with powers that was more detailed than Moh's father's. One of those located was Nathan, identified by a newspaper clipping, and Eden (Moh's female friend, had to look up her name) recognized him.

Nothing's been said about who Syler is, whether he's one of the one's we've seen so far or someone yet to be seen. As for Claire, check out the online comic on nbc.com. This week's edition is about Claire and the aftermath of the crash.

The "our son" probably referred to Niki and her alter ego. I'm not sure if it's someone taking over her mind, but more of a dual personality, and the more violent one has the powers. Linderman will probably turn out to be like the Kingpin from Spider-Man -- no powers to speak of, but controls a criminal network.

And what was it Claire's dad said? That "I am not from any organization with initials"? So should we take that to mean that he is with the government? Or is he with some other group? Maybe tied to Linderman? That lab looked pretty sophisticated, maybe moreso than someone like Linderman could have, unless he has more resources than we're aware of.

And I wonder if there's more to Eden than meets the eye. In a way I hope not, but she could be working with Linderman, the government, or some other group.

Micah's Dad is black. So there's no way he and Claire can have the same father. Issac's eyes going white was just to emphasize he was in a trance state imho. that's why he needs to take heroin in order to paint the future - he needs to get into that trance state. There are other ways but I guess he hasn't realized that yet.

My DD10 and I had a long discussion last night about which cheerleader needs to be saved in order to save the world.

Her guess is that it's not Claire that must be saved, but the girl who claimed she was the one who saved the man in the fire. She guessed that because why else would they have introduced her into the story if she has no powers? The focus seems to be on Claire being "that" cheerleader, but I thought it was pretty good thinking on my DD's part to come up with this. (She's a much deeper thinker than I ever thought.)

First off, I gotta say my whole family is hooked on this show.

In the preview, they showed the QB in the hospital, with Claire's dad and the Mystery Man next to the bed, so he's not dead....yet.

I also think that the "our son" meant Nikki and the alter egos son.

According to the NBC boards, they haven't cast Sylar yet......

MAn oh man, this show gets better every week. Save the cheerleader huh? I'm guessing Claire's dad may be doing all he's doing BECAUSE of CLaire...maybe to figure out how to cure her, or tow find a way to control/use her power.

I assumed the reason Claire was found naked was because the QB took her clothes off before dumping the body so she wouldn't be ID'd. I don't think he raped her. He WOULD have though...scumbag.

The black guy who was with Claire's dad MYA be Micah;s father. I don't see any reason why Micah is "super"...yet. Just because Nikki called him a genius doesn't make him a genius. Every parent thinks their kid is a genius. I'll need Micah to actually do something extraordinary to prove it.

Nathan is losing point sin my book. Sleeping around...bah! Though I AM looking forward to seeing him fly next week...for real!

"Future"-Hiro definitely has more style! POny-tail...soul patch...and dressed like a Samurai. Wonder how far in the future he's from. Plus how bad of a scar does Peter end up with for Hiro to say "I didn't recognize you without the scar"? He must be practically disfigured in the future hehehe..

Matt...I hope he isn't a goner!

So we were all right. Peter's power is "mimicking" the powers of those around him. SO imagine how powerful he'll be when ALL the heroes are with him. That also explains why he didn't freeze with time when Hiro showed up. I wonder if he'll figure out a way to keep the powers or if they will always be a temporary gain.

Isaac, man you need to find a better way to tap into your power! And that painting of Claire didn't seem particularly helpful...at least not compared to the city of NY being blown up.

If you go to nbc.com and read through the online comic, it tells you what happens....

She exits the car, looks back and says that this should teach him a lesson when he's alone with girls in the future. Then the car blows up. She then says he can't learn a lesson if he's dead, so she goes back, pulls him out and saves him. The last scene is him waking up and saying "What ARE you?!?", implying that he knows she is "different."
