OMG...what an amazing experience. So happy for your DS. Bet he was super excited!
He was caught so off guard at first. But by the time we left, he was talking with them like they were old friends he's known forever. Once we got out of the building he was in disbelief. He couldn't believe it actually happened. Then the excitement came. He was on cloud 9.
Last night he said he wants to write them a thank you letter. Which I think is a great idea for him to do.
Saw this show today and it was AWESOME!!!!! You need to book this as one of your FastPass+. Loved it. There was a lady in front of me with a baby boy, probably 5-6 moths old. You should have seen his face and smile when it "snowed" at first he didn't know what was going on, then he just laughed liked crazy and was looking a everybody. Fun for all was had.
Sounds like you had a great time at the show! So cute about the baby.
We have our fp+ booked for this show... Does that mean we get in earlier? Where is the best place to sit?
The cm try to scan as many FP+ people as possible before the doors open so that you can just walk right inside and get a seat. The doors for FP+ were opening a couple minutes before the standby line. But I noticed on Saturday that most of the FP+ line was inside before the standby line started moving.
My son likes to stay in his w/c so we either get the very front row if it's not filled or the very back row. Both have their pluses and minuses. In the front, you get a close up view, but you can't see everything at the same time. You can either focus on the screen or the historians during the singing. In the back, you have people's heads in the way, but you can also get the full effects of the show. You can see both side screens, the historians and the main screen all at the same time.
If you are there during the holiday season during the days when the package is going on, the FP+ line will enter right after the package line. The first 2 rows are reserved for VIP and w/c or
ECV. Rows 3 to 5 for the package. So FP+ can fill in after that or on the sides.
Right now when there is no package, FP+ has available all but the first 2 rows and last row where it's roped off.
They let the entire FP line in on Friday before the standby and the theater was like 2/3 filled with just the FP line.
Hopefully this is something they will continue doing? We noticed the same on Saturday.
Yikes!! So guess we should be showing up early even with a fp!!! Should we just try to get as close to the front? Any better seating places?
We show up at the beginning of the return time window. But have also showed up near the end of it. Most of the FP+ line is direct sun. There are some umbrellas for shade, so some people do get lucky and get shade. Also the very front of the FP+ line, the left hand side is shaded. I started bringing an umbrella for DS.
The standby line is mostly shaded, except for the very front of it is direct sun. There is some air conditioning vents pumping in cold air, but unless you are right at a vent, it's nearly impossible to feel.
There are only a few bad seats. That would be ones where a pole obstructs your view.
I've found center, even with heads blocking (I'm under 5 feet tall) to be best for seating. The only area I haven't sat to see the show, was the bleachers.
We have FP+ for today after school. If you have any more questions, ask away and I will try to find out the answer today while I'm there if I don't know offhand.
