**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

So you can only attend if you have a fastpass or if you stand in the hopeful line?

Is there one section of seating that's better than the others (i.e. fastpass gets closer seating preference or hopeful line gets better seating)?

Thanks!

Anna and Elsa walked the parade today. And did a fancy walk as they entered the exit gate.

Awesome! We can't make it there today, but we enjoyed everything on Friday. The fireworks were amazing!! So sad they aren't being continued.

Thank you SOOO much for all of your hard work!!! :grouphug:

We enjoyed the Frozen festivities immensely when we went in August!

We're headed back in January and plan to be at the last (currently scheduled at least!) Frozen Sing Along on January 31st.

Please do keep us updated on anything new!

Thanks for the kind words!

I'm glad you enjoyed it in August.

Sing-along and snow for sure. Book a FP+ for sure! I'll report about my experience in a few.

No, you can attend either by FP+ or standby.

My preference for seating is the very last row center, before the bleachers. You can see the whole show from back there. Front further you can't get the full effect. However, it's pretty awesome for the Frozen fans to be up close and "personal" with the characters when you near the front.

So happy you enjoyed your time on Friday!

I know! I'm so sad the fireworks are going too. Especially since I'm not getting to see them tonight as planned. We had to leave the park early because ds overheated due to the new standby line process! Ugh! I'll be getting to that next post.

I'm going to hold out hope that they'll be back for the holidays?

I have had nothing but good things to say about the sing-along since July. Today, I change my tune.

Standby tickets are no longer an option. This really changes the dynamics of waiting for a show. And not for the good.

Since July 7th we have been going to a show once or twice a week. We'd get a standby ticket first thing. We'd return in the latter part of the return window so that ds wasn't out in the heat for so long. Not once since July 7th has ds overheated while waiting for the sing-along. And there were plenty of hot days.

Today was a different story. Even though the times guide for today stated that guests must visit the Premiere Theater to reserve a spot in advance; Dh went for the return ticket and was told as of today they were no longer doing that. Standby was the only option for those without a FP+ or package (though package won't be an option after today.)

If you've ever been to the Premiere Theater during SWW, this is now the waiting dynamic.

I am not happy about this change and visited Guest Services to file a complaint once dh and ds were settled in First Aid. I was able to speak with a manager and was glad to know I wasn't the only person who voiced concern.

I loved the standby tickets. You could do something other than wait, had the guarantee that you would be seated, and it was more convenient. We usually returned in the return window or just before it was over so that we didn't have to wait very long.

ETA: DAS will be accepted for this show.

Hello, I just want to make sure I understand the process correctly for attending the sing along. We will be at Studios Friday, October 3. We plan to arrive at the park right at opening. Some members of our party are not able to reserve fp+ until the day of as they are being admitted by a cast member relative. Once we enter the park, should we go straight to the fp+ kiosk to get passes for the show? Just looking for the best way to approach this. I know all 4 of my kids would love the show, so we're really hoping to attend.

There are only two options for the sing-along now. Either get a FP+ if it's available or wait in the standby queue.

I'd try going to a kiosk to see if you all can get a time together. We tried that today. We had a FP+, but the other people with us entered on their main gate and were unable to get a FP+ for any time at a kiosk.

Thank you for your reply. So is getting a fp+ day of fairly unlikely?

When you don't know I can see being frustrated. Now that you know, what's the difference btwn the standby tix and FP+ except that you may need to do the latter ahead of time, and it uses one 2nd tier FP? Maybe this is enough to make this significantly worse for some, but I don't feel like I need two tier 2 FP for DHS, so I switched one to the singalong. Seems ok to me... :)

I did a spur of the moment standby (after all the FP+ were inside) and just walked in with hardly any wait at all. This was on Sept 20 in the afternoon. Loved the show!!

I think really this comes from Disney trying to make everyone happy. They have tried not doing the stand-by thing before and people get mad because it basically means they have to RP to get a spot at the show you want for sure even if it is in the evening. With the sing-along now being a perminent show they might be bringing it back in line with the rest of shows that all have stand-by lines in addition to the FP+.

That being said I got a FP+ for the show before they made the change just because I didnt need two tier two FP+ so this worked out perfectly.

Actually, I will disagree on the part that is bolded. The return tickets seemingly worked great for the singalong. There were no reports of them running out early. The only show that tended to run out was the first show (when the first show was at 12:30) and sometimes the last show (but that show never really ran out of tickets until late afternoon).

The standby-less/return ticket test at Princess Fairytale Hall was an unmitigated disaster (both times Disney has tried it). But in the case of the return tickets for the singalong, that system worked really well all summer long.

My guess is Disney doesn't want to have to staff the theater for three separate lines and that's why the return tickets went away.

Just wanted to confirm that the Frozen fireworks show is no longer being shown?

Also, any reports yet of how rope drop is at DHS? I believe that the Frozen stage show in the morning is no longer and people were assuming rope drop would "go back to normal".

No fireworks.

No Olaf cupcakes at ABC Comissary. :( He's been replaced by a Witch Minnie cupcake.

Rope drop show was my question, too! Very curious about any changes to the rope drop procedure.

Thanks!
