**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Post 2 has a couple map pictures.

Keep in mind to get behind the hat overt to ABC Comissary during the welcome, you'll have to get over to the path that runs parallel to Hollywood Blvd that runs in front of the Brown Derby.

That's where I finally found the map. ;) I had been looking at maps on Disney's website and getting nowhere. If it weren't for people like you, no one would ever find out about this stuff. Thanks for maintaining such a great thread. :) :goodvibes

Where is the stage in relation to the hat? Is it open between the hat and The Great Movie Ride?

9/25 is a Thursday (that's our DHS day too). Did they add more fireworks, or did you mean 9/26? As far as I know the fireworks are only on Fri, Sat, and Sun nights in Sept.

I did mean 9/26, sorry! We arrive 9/25 so I'm just used to typing it lol :rotfl:

The stage is directly in front of the hat. It is opened between the hat and The Great Movie Ride behind the back of the hat.

For those of you that have been to the sing a long more than once....are the historians different each time? As in what they say? Ours were hilarious but I noticed the guy made a guardians of the galaxy reference, in which I think about 10 people got. Anyways the more I thought of it, Guardians wasn't out at the time that the show started, so I was thinking perhaps it was a bit of improv.

Here are some thoughts. They added a screen to sunset blvd (so coming from ToT you'd see the screen). Hopefully someone can verify if they show the stage show is on that side of the screen for fireworks? (you can't really see fireworks from here). If you come out to Hollywood BLVD and it's too busy, cut through the stores that are on your left as you face the hat. Then look for a spot either near 50's PTC (look for a spot where you can see the Idol scree) or head over towards Min and Bill's (either where you can see the actual stage, Idol screen or the big screen at the stage).

Sounds like a plan. It'll probably be easier to picture when I'm able to see it in person. It all just sounds like a giant cluster right now.

It's hard to say. If the return ticket system would continue if there was an extension. Then no. But if there are no return tickets then it would be a good idea.

If it gets extended into Nov, would it keep the same schedule? The times changed when it was extended to September.

If the venue gets changed to the ABC Theater, then entry to the theater would be different. Right now at the Premiere Theater, FP+ enters at the front left hand side of the theater. Return tickets enter through the back left door. Standby through the right, back door. At the ABC theater, all guests enter through any of the doors, except w/c and ECV parties enter through the back door.

Also a couple more contributing factors:
The ABC Theater holds about 100 fewer guests that the Premier Theater making a FP more important.
Some of the newer rumors are saying the sing-a-long may be the only thing they keep and IF that rumor is true, the sing-a-long may become more popular than it already is.

So far, I have noticed 4 friends of Eric and 4 friends of Aria.

Yes, they have some freedom for improvisation. And I've noticed them really play off the audience feedback. I've been to some shows where the audience is "dead" and there is very little improve. But other shows where the audience is fully in participation and the historians added so much more.

Would like to know this also... We will be there 9/28 and already have a fantasmic dinner package... Is it possible to get a decent place for the fireworks after that??

I'm sure Yullinin3 or Itinkso will be along sometime today.

I've only used the Fantasmic Dinner Package once and have found no need for it once FP was offered for every Fant show.

With the Dinner Package seating, you should sit closer to the top of the designated (center) seating area. Exit out the far left (if you are looking up towards the top of the amphitheater) and this should unload you near the front of the park next to stroller parking. You should have a good view of the Hat but the not the stage or the screen.

If your goal is a view of a screen, make your way from the front of the park through stores on the left side of the street and take a side street over to the Min and Bill's area. If you exit from the amphitheater on one of the other routes, you'll end up on Sunset and then should make your way over to the Brown Derby area and situate yourself so you can see the stage or screen.

If at all possible, you should plan on the 2nd Fant of the night and forego the Fant Dining Package or give away your center seating vouchers for the 1st show. I really hesitate to tell people that they can find good views because there are far too many reports of 1st Fant guests rudely blocking the fireworks view of those who have patiently staked out their positions far in advance.

Ok. We had a chubbier guy (he made lots of references to this) with dark hair and a girl with dark hair and olive toned skin and seemed really familiar. He was a little crazy and she was more calm. It's good to know if it's extended and we see it again, it won't be the same exact show.

I could have sworn I read that there is only 100 seats difference between the theaters, with the ABC Theater being the smaller.

It is looking that way. Hope we find out soon.

Eric with straight dark hair? He is the funniest. Lulu from Idol has dark hair and is one of the dark haired friends, maybe it was her? I saw the combination of the two of them once. And they were my favorite. I laughed so hard there were tears.

Only one show did I ever see where the two historians didn't quite live up to my expectations. That was recently and that friend of Erik was newer. His timing was off and forgot lines. But I'm sure with time, that will change, and I could have caught his first show.

Are you sure that the ABC theater holds about 1000 fewer seats? I read on a blog that it was about 100 fewer.

Tink and motherofsix, y'all are sooooo right. It is only 100. Not sure where I got that.
I have corrected my post :thumbsup2

Thanks! I think we are not as concerned with the screen show as much as the fireworks! Really would like to get a good view of the fireworks but still want to hear the music. I'm thinking I may cancel my Fant dinner package and just go to the second showing after the fireworks... Thanks so much :)

For a great view of the fireworks, yulilin's suggestion of the 50's Prime Time area is something for you to consider. A great view that isn't obstructed by the Hat, away from crowds, and you should be able to hear the music... lovethattink can comment on this.

From this area, you have plenty of time to make it to the 2nd Fant.

The view back by 50's PTC is great at certain areas, but the background music stays on during fireworks. It drove me nuts, but yullilin3 posted that it didn't bother her.

is there any way to get reserved seating for the Fireworks for September 19 or 20th? Can't get a Premium pkg as they are all sold out. what is the best solution? I have a wheel chair

I don't believe so. Though I have never looked or asked. If it's not raining, we might head over to dhs to watch fireworks. Once we get a spot, I'll ask.

It's raining cats and dogs. We've decided to stay home. I won't get back again to see fireworks unless they get extended. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can check that out for you.

Second thing I did this morning was check to see if FP+ is available for October. Nothing for the singalong. My day is pretty booked solid today. And tonight going to say goodbye to Maelstrom. If you see anything. Please post!
