**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

I've just been watching Allears.net TV about the entire Frozen package. They said that for the premium package dessert party, it is held inside if the weather is inclement and outside if it is dry.

I have not yet found any outside reports. So, has it rained every night since the Premium Package started, or are they wrong?

Thanks everyone for stepping in and answering in my absence. I was over at the MK checking out the ticket testing for the A&E meet at MK.

I started a new thread to ask this but perhaps I should have just asked here.

Does it "snow" during the Frozen processional and/or the Frozen fireworks?

If so, does it "snow" just on Hollywood Boulevard, or in other locations around the park also?

Thank you!

It snows on Hollywood BLVD from the Cross Roads sign all the way up to the stage. There are even brief moments of snow throughout the day.

Yes, snow is some of the effect for the processional and fireworks. Also periodically throughout the day. And at the end of the day.

The other day we were leaving in the afternoon and much to our surprise it was snowing! We said we got our "good night kiss" in the middle of the afternoon.

I tried looking through the thread, but don't see an answer - any advice for getting your child picked to walk in the processional other than to dress them in costume? Any place we should stand at a certain time? Thanks!

Great question, I hope someone has some information to share....

Picked at random. Most who I've talked to were picked while entering the park. I think they've learned from SWW to be more stealth about asking people.

It's been repeated several times...the kids are chosen at random and there's no way to increase your odds of getting picked. I assume wearing costumes, acting enthusiastic, not being shy, not melting down would help, as would having cute kids. So if your kids aren't cute, maybe trade them in for another model? :rotfl:

Seriously, though...based on the reports of what marching in the parade means (just walking behind the parade, no M&G with the characters) I personally won't be upset if my kids aren't chosen. I guess I'd rather that they get to see the parade than be in it, but that's just me.

Looking at my parade pics, I don't see many dressed in costume. I'd assume they'd be looking for children not shy, outgoing and friendly since they are needed to smile and wave.

The only advantage would be to see the welcome up close at the stage.

As far as parade interaction, we've had some great interaction as its gone by us. Smiles, winks, Skiiers hotdogging it with jumps, etc. But then we don't just stand there. We are clapping and cheering them on.

Does it look like they're keeping the Elsa magic band in stock? Its one of many things my daughter is obsessing over.

Yesterday, all bands were in stock.

On July 6th, I saw it held outside.

But it's been storming every afternoon and again in the evening.

Last night it was outside. We didn't get in until 8:25, but once we did, it was a lot of fun.

This thread has been so helpful in rearranging all my plans to fit a day of Frozen fun into the vacation. Thank you to everyone!
We were able to get the frozen package but we are not going until the last week of August. At that time, the fireworks will be at 9:15. I don't think anyone knows for certain but how do you think this might effect the dessert party? Right now there is a lot of time between the beginning of the party and fireworks. Do you think Disney will start the dessert party 30 minutes earlier? Do you think they would keep it open later instead?

I'm still trying to fine tune all my plans and that thought just occurred to me. Many of you have far more experience with Disney than I so I just wanted to pick your brain a bit. Any thoughts? I haven't read anything on it...or I missed it.

Thanks!

Lovethattink - thanks for your adivce! :thumbsup2

We saw the parade today, walked up in front of American Idol just as the stage show was ending, and I could have spun in a circle with my arms out and not hit anyone! My daughter stood by herself at the tape line, and Elsa complimented my daughter on her Mickey ears when they rode by. It was awesome, and one of the highlights of my daughters trip. Thanks again!

I just received the survey they send out once you return from your vacation and about 1/3 of the questions were about Frozen Summer Fun. It sounds like they are trying to determine whether or not it's drawing people to DHS because many of the questions asked things such as; Did you book your trip or change your dates in order to enjoy FSF? Did you plan a trip to DHS or additional visits to DHS specifically for FSF? Did you participate in the premium package and why or why not? Did you know about FSF prior to arriving? Things like that.

I'm so sorry but I have yet another Frozen premium package question! Part of my hesitation is that people say that waiting for the parade is in direct sun and very very hot. also, that the children sit in front and parents stand behind them. I'm wondering, if we were to check in to the package at say 10:45 instead of right at 10:00 would we be allowed to enter the reserved area? Would it be at an extreme disadvantage of viewing position? thanks for any opinions!

I would assume that the dessert would be moved up 30 minutes, but we may no know for sure until the first night of the 9:15 fireworks.

Now that's a memory to last a lifetime! So glad you were able to find a great, non-crowded spot.

Your survey was definitely more detailed than mine. Although I got another one today, so maybe that will be like yours?

Yes, you would be able to check in at 10:45. They stop serving snacks at 11 when the parade starts. Yes, it would be a disadvantage for parade viewing.

How did that seem to work in your opinion? I get to book my FP+ tomorrow night and I had someone look tonight when doing theirs and already know that all the FP+ are gone for the times I'll be there so my small hope was destroyed. I'm now hoping they keep this new trial in place for our trip in late Sept. Even then it will be difficult for us as we don't spend a morning in MK until our last day and leave in afternoon that day for our flight out. Here's to hoping it was a success.

Has there been any word about the success of the Frozen festivities at HS so far, and any possible continuation yet? It would take the burden of trying to do the meet and greet if they decided to keep this festival going past this August. Here's to hoping for that too!

I would suggest that you keep checking for A/E on MDE. It worked out for me. I had them, lost them, and was able to get them again for about the same time on a better day for us.

I think the ticket system went well yesterday. I posted pictures on the no standby line thread. Instead of waiting hours and hours. You get a ticket to return hours later. Get there too late though, and tickets might be all distributed for the day.

There are rumors flying around about an extension of FSF or parts extended, but no official word from Disney.

Your best bet for seeing A&E is to keep trying for a FP+. Especially if you only have a partial day at mk. Even with the ticket system, you need hours to spare and to get there early.

Agreed.

So glad you were able to get the fp+. I'm sure it also required some flexibility on your behalf.

Enjoy your FSF day! Whether there is a package surprise or not, I'm sure you'll have fun.

Having read your wonderful trip report on the Frozen Premium Package, I've had a quick sift through of reports on the net. Seems to me that the majority of people out there really need to discover the Dis as they have no idea about the package they could have enjoyed!

I know that I am having a Micket Bar at 11am, along with a bottle of soda, and a water to take away for later. I also know that I don't have to be coralled up with the rest of the guests partaking of the package.

Thank you.

Thank you. I'm hoping for a dry night for an outside dessert party but it's 8/25 and from previous experiences I think we may be inside.

DH also thinks we may have dessert party overload as we have surprise Wishes for DDs 10th birthday
