**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

No Sven when we were there last week. :(. One left last time we were at the NYC Disney Store in Times Square but I said "we'll get him in WDW" Hopefully they got a new shipment when we are in Manhattan Wednesday! Lol "SingingMom" ....Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Not sure if it's the one you are looking for but there are small plush Sven's in-stock at DisneyStore.com. Discovered they appeared today while doing my usual morning Elsa dress check.

Thanks so much for all of the info in this thread. I am strongly considering dropping the premium package for our 8/19 visit based on these experiences. My main concern is sitting and waiting an hour for the "parade" even with the package. The package is only worth my money if it saves me a significant amount of sitting around doing nothing time.

I've watched the youtube videos of the opening ceremony, the post-parade ceremony, etc., and I feel like they are probably not worth a HUGE time investment given their length, etc.

Does anyone know if you do NOT have premium package, what time you can start picking up sing-a-long tickets, and if everyone in your party has to be with you or can you just have all their magicbands?

We were there last week and did not do the package. We got there at rope drop and got our sing along tickets around 10:30. Every showtime was available. I got tickets for my entire party, no magic band scanning required. We got parade spots at 11 right outside of Star Tours. Great shaded area and it wasn't crowded.

No magic bands. They are back to paper tickets for the sing-along. You should be able to send one person for the tickets. They are available park open until they run out.

We were there yesterday. It was our arrival day and we didn't actually get to HS until 5 ish. Around 5:50 I walked over and they still had tickets for the 6 and 7 sing a long. We thought it was really fun. We went to the 9:00 fantastic and sat toward the back. We had no problem exiting and getting back to watch the fireworks. We were not close to the stage but we were in direct view of one of the screens and had a good view of the fireworks. Oh yeah we also walked right into Oakens Finland around 5;30 with no waits, although there were short waits inside to play with the snow.

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had fun and covered a lot in a short period of time. :)

if you have a disney store near you try calling them and finding out when they get new frozen stock in. the stores around me have known the answer and if you call before you go they'll tell you what they have. they can't hold anything but at least you'd know. they had a lot of elsa dresses in june.

thanks. are you doing the premium package later in the week or skipping that? We arrive on friday and are planning to go over to hollywood studios to do fantasmic and probably check out oakens

Went this past Friday night for fireworks and it was fantastic. The live band before fireworks was having an 80s night and thoroughly enjoyed that as well.

Wherever you pick your location to watch fireworks hold your ground because when it gets close to starting, everyone is going to rush right in front of you and try to obscure your view.

Hope they keep some aspect of the events like the sing a long

Glad you enjoyed the fireworks and the Icemen.

I hope they keep it too, especially the singalong and fireworks.

We are not doing the premium package, it just didn't seem worth it to us. I'm sure we will go back for the parade in the morning later in the week, but from what I hear it's the premium spots that fill up first.

You can get some great spots in the shade at the last minute, especially if you don't mind missing the stage welcome.

Great parade viewing in the shade can be found on the opposite side of the street of Idol, from Sounds Dangerous all the way down to the exit gate of the parade.

You'll miss some of the special effects like snow though.

Food Allergy Options for Premium Package

There was some huge concern of the pictures I posted of the dessert party with the one table with nuts on it. Several had asked what the allergy alternative was.

I spoke to the chef at the Dessert Party on 7/14. She showed me three alternatives to the desserts on the table.

Two of the desserts come prepackaged in a cup. Both are Gluten Free, No Sugar Added, and Vegan. The one flavor is Key West Blueberry Bomb and the other is Dark Chocolate Cherry Delight. The third choice for dessert is a package of Enjoy Life Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I was there on Sunday and had a great time.

I was hoping to find an Elsa dress for my cousin's daughter - but no luck. They had plenty of Anna dresses though - but these looked different from other Anna dresses I have seen around. They were her winter cloths with a cape. I've seen girls in the Anna ball gown. At any rate Oaken's only had Anna Winter Dress available on Sunday.

Oh and they had plenty of frozen magic bands. I have no clue why I bought one, considering I have 8 magic bands already from going way too often to Disney! But the Olaf Magic Band was too cute to pass up. I read somewhere that the star wars magic bands make noise - not sure if that is true or not - but the frozen magic band does not make any noise.

I liked getting tickets for the sing-a-long ahead of time. Did this first thing after visiting Oakens. We got 1:30 tickets. We had 12:10 Brown Derby reservations but still made it before the 1:20 cutoff time - you have to be in line for the theater ten minutes before show starts. Our seat were in the back corner but no problem seeing the show! I just wish they sang Fixer Upper - Seems like every guy I meet is a fixer upper :lmao:

The fireworks display was the best I've seen hands down. I thought star wars was great but this was outstanding. We stood holding our spots for over an hour before the fireworks. but had a great spot - toed the tape line where they let people cross Hollywood blvd toward Brown Derby. decent view of the stage but great view of the fireworks. The Icemen of the North were a really great cover band! :thumbsup2 Glad for some great entertainment while waiting.

well that's my review - Hope everyone has as much fun as I did!

That stinks there were no Elsa dresses left. I don't think I've seen the Anna dress with a cape. Though I don't have any girls so wasn't really looking. I'll have to take notice next time.

They are cute.

Yes, the Star Wars ones made noises when scanned for FP+. My son has a Yoda one and we were surprised to hear Yoda's voice. (It's not the band that made noice, but the FP+ scanner.)

I wonder if they will work the SWW shows like this too?

I noticed that songs exclusion too! That and the opening ice cutting song. My son says I'm thinking of "Frozen Heart."

Wow! That's saying a lot about the fireworks. Good to hear you could see the stage too. On Monday, 7/14 we could see both and it made a huge difference, enhancing the show so much more than seeing the one or the other.

Great info, thanks! Can you see the stage show on the Idol screen outside the theater though?

No.

They do broadcast it on the Idol Marquee screen and on the big screen on Hollywood BLVD, but you can't see if from the shady areas by the Backlot Express. You'd have to be a contortionist even to see the screen from the Idol steps.

The entire parade stops just after passing the Premium Package area. Anna and Elsa hop out and go up on stage. Hop back in the carriage and proceed down to the exit gate between Star Tours and the Backlot Express.

If your kid is picked to be iin the 'procession', do they get to meet Elsa & Anna? Or they just walk in the parade?
