Quick question if anybody checks before park opening & happens to know (YAY-going today!!!)... I know the first ice skating doesn't happen until 9:30 but does the playing in the snow part of the Funland start at 9:00am? Thanks guys!!

I don't know. Sorry. Hopefully, someone else has been there first thing. I think snow starts right away, but I could be way off base.

I did learn yesterday that the people raking the snow and fixing the ice are not Disney cm, but are from the ice and snow service. They take care of all the maintenance of the ice and snow and the replenishment.

We enjoyed the whole Frozen experience yesterday! We enjoyed the dessert, fireworks area because we could see the show. If we get there tonight, we would try to see the fireworks from a different area, but if we don't get back, we, 2 adults, think the Frozen Package WAS worth the special trip down from Ohio!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, especially since it was such a far trek to experience FSF!

Does anyone know what time and WHERE my friend needs to be to get the best chance of having her identical twin boys chosen to be in the Frozen parade (they're five and pretty adorable)? They are NUTS for frozen and my friend didn't know anything about FP+ so obviously they didn't get A&E Fastpasses.

Just to update... They are out of Elsa dresses at Oaken's. I am kicking myself as just a few days ago I saw them available at Disney store online but thought I'd wait because they wouldn't have shipped in time for our trip & my DD wanted to wear it here. That and TSMM being down from RD to 10:30 this morning really bummed me out this morning. Trying to... Let It Go! and enjoy our Frozen premium package today.

Oh no! Hopefully, they will get more in soon.

This all sounds so amazing....since we just learned about this and going in December- I suppose ALL this hoopla will be long gone and over with, but I am HOPING and praying for a little disney magic that they consider extending it through end of year- or perhaps have something even better to offer. Have any of you that have gone- heard anything about extending this- or having something else??? Frozen has been so wildy popular and profitable that I would think that they would have to do something to keep the money rolling in.

I can now say that I've experienced ALL parts of the FSF both with and without the Premium Package. Now I feel I can answer the big question, is a package necessary or worth it?

Is the package necessary?

Parade: No. We were able to see the parade again from around the Star Tours/Backlot Express area. This time we waited about 20 mintues outside, because there were people already there. However, the last time we stood there, only 5 minutes before was needed.

Sing-along: No. We arrived for the tickets 12:30 and could choose any time from 1:30 to 7pm. We chose 2:30. The return time was 1:50 to 2:20. We returned back at 1:55 and waited about 15 minutes in the shaded queue. The cm seated us in the first row because of ds' w/c. However there were front seats available on both sides of the theater, just not the center. Only the first 3 rows behind us were reserved for the package. Closer to show time, those seats were filled in with non-package guests, as were the two seats in the front row beside me.

Fireworks: Yes and No. To see the stage in person, yes, or get there early for the dance party and stay. To see the stage show on the big screen of Idol, no. Also better viewing of fireworks elsewhere than the package.

I have a package booked but maybe I will cancel it. My crew rarely makes it to fireworks and if we can see the parade and singalong without excessive waits, we will be ok.

I read the first post and just wanted to clarify...so if you don't have the package, you can pick up tickets for the singalong at the San Francisco scene/green umbrellas from park opening and on?

Yesterday there were two entrances into the green umbrella area to pick up tickets. Taped arrows on the ground showed where to go. You can pick up tickets from park opening until they run out of them.

I don't know if I posted this or not? There is no 1:15 professional skater demonstration. Instead there is another guest skating in its place.

We found Photopass photographers at all the magic shot spots but one when we were there last week. Fun pictures. ;-)

I think the "summer fun" aspect was terrific - but I think they should keep the "sing-a-long"! It was so much fun and well done. I would definitely go again in January if it is still there!

Most of the time, yes. The only time I didn't see one outside was when it was raining or after a rain.

Inside Oaken's I saw a photographer each time we were in there.

The Aurasma App backrounds, no. You do those yourself.

The photographers in the streets have been hit or miss. Some are trained to do magic shots and some are not. Rule of thumb, is if you see a tripod, usually there isn't a magic shot.

I've heard some hints about a possible extension, but certainly nothing definitive or official.

I did the premium package today. Overall, I think it was worth the money. The viewing for the welcome parade was good, and if I got afew bottles of water to have during the day. Just as the end of the parade hit the stage area, the ropes were lowered and pkg people got to be closer to the stage. The sing along was good. I checked in at about 10:15-10:20 and got a ticket for 2:30 show. Earlier times were gone. Line up for the dessert party was not too bad. Got there at about 8 and they opened at about 8:10-8:15. Was at a table up front and to the left. Iwas able to see the stage fairly well and the view of the fireworks was good.

I was in Oaken's ....no Sven plush of any size. No Elsa dresses. No small figure sets with all the characters. CM told me they are expecting new stock early August. Funland was busy. Long lines to build a snowman. I did the photos with the Aurasma app and met a great CM named Rebecca. She helped with getting those pictures and was so nice.

It was a good day. But I thought the dessert party was a bit too long. They probably could start at 8:30 and it would be ok.

my son really wants that sven plush. we looked in june and didn't see one. I think I'm going to check the disney stores near our house tomorrow and if no one has it I'm going to order it on ebay with expedited shipping i can get it before our trip.

ETA- Just ordered sven and I'll bring him along on our trip. can't risk that particular toy not being there

No Sven when we were there last week. . One left last time we were at the NYC Disney Store in Times Square but I said "we'll get him in WDW"
Hopefully they got a new shipment when we are in Manhattan Wednesday! Lol
