**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Thanks for all of the awesome information. I am coming very close to canceling the package. For my family with hyperactive 5 and 3 year old it is too much of a risk. They won't sit around and wait for fireworks since they are little the dessert will only occupy them for a little bit. They won't sit around and wait for the parade. The heat will make everyone cranky. I'll be lucky if they sit through the entire sing a long. I think our Frozen experience will be trying to catch a quick glimpse of the parade and then moving on to something else.
Besides my children I'm worried about weather and canceled fireworks. That would be a bummer. If they were older it might make more sense as a special Disney treat, but honestly I'm really excited for the kids to get a picture in Fantasyland with Anna and Elsa.

At our dessert Monday, many of the children were running around or dancing. Most were not still.

We left the parade viewing because it was too hot and took our snacks down to the backlot express restaurant, air conditioned. 5 minutes before the parade came down that way, we stepped outside and watched it. That will be the next update on my TR, with pictures of where we were and our view.

I'd been calling for the last several days and got lucky last night! Was able to book the premium package for July 26th and my 5 year old son is so excited. I think it will be worth it the parade, sing along and dessert party.

we'll be at disney in 6 days :)

I'm heading to dhs. We are going try standby for the singalong. Planning on arriving late in the window to see how that goes. If you see us, give a shout out. Hoping to make it for the parade but it's doubtful since we're just leaving.

I just picked up tickets for the singalong. Choice of anything except 12:30. At Oaken's now in line to go in. The queue is long for the funland.

Will your TR be in this thread? My husband and I will be at HS on Thursday, we have the Frozen package, and since we don't have little ones, it isn't completely necessary for us to be front and center. On the other hand, I want to take full advantage of the premium package and all it has to offer. I am taking all of your tips and making notes. Thanks for sharing what you are learning.

In the funland, in line for build a snowman

When we got our tickets for the singalong today. We were advised to come back early and that doors will close at 2:20 for the 2:30 show. We plan to return in the later window of the return time

Congratulations!!

thanks! I just read your report of your experience. Really enjoyed reading and seeing the pictures! Thanks for posting it! Looks like you all had a great time!

question - was it the bigger stuffed sven they sold or the mini one?

$31.95. Looking at my daughters as she sleeps with it now.

My overall thoughts on the event...meh compared to other hard ticket experiences. But if you ask my 8 yea old, you'll get a whole other answer. And really, that's all I needed to justify buying it.

My daughter loved walking around with the lanyard and proudly displaying her VIP cred.

The am parade and show area was great for the snacks, but as is all GA areas, you didn't really want to risk leaving your patch of cement to get more once you were in place (ESP if you are on the rope). It was HOT. Sitting there for an hour or so in no shade? There was no frozen lemonade cup that would have helped.

Sing along was great. The 2 historians made the show. We missed our return and was able to get tix for another show no problem.

The dessert party was cute. Not as good as others but they had free "mommy and daddy drinks" which by that time was weeeeelllll worth it.

We leave in 3 days and can NOT EVEN wait for one more second...thanks for all the info!!! Yay!!!!

I can now say that I've experienced ALL parts of the FSF both with and without the Premium Package. Now I feel I can answer the big question, is a package necessary or worth it?

Is the package necessary?

Parade: No. We were able to see the parade again from around the Star Tours/Backlot Express area. This time we waited about 20 mintues outside, because there were people already there. However, the last time we stood there, only 5 minutes before was needed.

Sing-along: No. We arrived for the tickets 12:30 and could choose any time from 1:30 to 7pm. We chose 2:30. The return time was 1:50 to 2:20. We returned back at 1:55 and waited about 15 minutes in the shaded queue. The cm seated us in the first row because of ds' w/c. However there were front seats available on both sides of the theater, just not the center. Only the first 3 rows behind us were reserved for the package. Closer to show time, those seats were filled in with non-package guests, as were the two seats in the front row beside me.

Fireworks: Yes and No. To see the stage in person, yes, or get there early for the dance party and stay. To see the stage show on the big screen of Idol, no. Also better viewing of fireworks elsewhere than the package.

Why did we do the package twice? Originally we did it to get into the Premiere Theater faster. We ended up loving the dessert party so much on opening day we bought a 2nd package. Again the dessert party was our favorite.

Was it worth it? Adding up each thing we ate and each drink, it added up quickly, even without any alcohol. Each parade it would have cost over $50 to eat the snacks we had and the bottled sodas/waters. That was one ticket paid for. Dh drank a lot of cans of soda at the dessert. DS a few bottled waters. I had at least 5 cups of the kid's punch that tastes like POG from the Poly. Add in the tickets for the sing-along, and yes, I think it was worth it. I'm definitely glad we did the package. It was a fun experience.

How could the package be made better in the future? I think check-in at the Backlot Express and snacking there in the air conditioning and with seating would be great. Then everyone get escorted to the parade viewing before it begins. Lunch isn't served there til 11:30 so there would be plenty of time to clean up before lunch. Both our parties rained, and we ended up in Disney Jr. for the dessert. I loved that location and think it would be great to have the party there every night and walk the guests over to the firework viewing just before show time.

Thank you. We did!

The Sven was bigger, not mini. He's in dh's hands on day 2. A previous poster said theirs fell apart at the antlers. My son's has held up great.

Now following that thread too. Thanks!

Thanks. You're welcome.

Just wanted to let everyone on here know....I think people were asking about kristoff costumes. I found some on etsy. I was able to find a tshirt version which I am not sure if I can post this link so if not i will delete it (its not mine and i don't know this person)

Thanks! I'm sure we'll have to pick that up :) I'm going to bring our olaf from home though! Glad you all had a great time!

Quick question if anybody checks before park opening & happens to know (YAY-going today!!!)... I know the first ice skating doesn't happen until 9:30 but does the playing in the snow part of the Funland start at 9:00am? Thanks guys!!

We enjoyed the whole Frozen experience yesterday! We enjoyed the dessert, fireworks area because we could see the show. If we get there tonight, we would try to see the fireworks from a different area, but if we don't get back, we, 2 adults, think the Frozen Package WAS worth the special trip down from Ohio!

Does anyone know what time and WHERE my friend needs to be to get the best chance of having her identical twin boys chosen to be in the Frozen parade (they're five and pretty adorable)? They are NUTS for frozen and my friend didn't know anything about FP+ so obviously they didn't get A&E Fastpasses.

Just to update... They are out of Elsa dresses at Oaken's. I am kicking myself as just a few days ago I saw them available at Disney store online but thought I'd wait because they wouldn't have shipped in time for our trip & my DD wanted to wear it here. That and TSMM being down from RD to 10:30 this morning really bummed me out this morning. Trying to... Let It Go! and enjoy our Frozen premium package today.

Good to hear! I'm an adult coming from KS for it and I think it will be totally worth it!
