Official "Friends of the Fort" Weight Loss Group!

I always try to hide behind my kids. Then when I see the picture it makes it look worse when my thighs are sticking out past my 3 girls on both sides.:lmao:

Okay, am I the only one not doing so good this week? :lmao: (I know bad llama)

Sounds like everyone else is doing great. Congrats too you all.

I would lie before I told people my true weight :scared1: hehe

I saw some insurance papers my husband had filled out awhile back and had to list our weights. He was about 50 pounds off but smart enough not to ask me what I weighed. He didn't feel like dying that day.:rotfl:

Hehe :rotfl2: yea my dh's not that dumb either !

Hey guys, I'm Toni.

I mostly lurk over here on the camping board, but I really had to jump in here.

I need to lose 75-100 pounds. I started on 4/26. I've lost 6 pounds so far.

I am cutting my portions, eating 6 small meals, and bringing my lunch. (I am in my car all day for work, so the Drive-Thru has been my nemesis)

For exercise I am doing the Couch Potato to 5K program. (C25K.com)
Even though I have always been overweight and sedentary, I have always harbored the dream of running a marathon. This program is getting me started. My goal is the Disney Marathon 2010!

I'm so glad you started this group!

Toni

I think Rog comes over just to rub in our faces his 100 pounds plus weight lose..lol :lmao:

NO WAY...PLEASE!!!!!! Hell.....Im freakin 290lbs....regardless of how much Ive lost....thats STILL morbidly obese!!!

I was commenting on Aunties post about chasing her cat...my one eyed cat was killed Staurday night...and after posting it, realized it was a bit of a downer, AND completely unrelated to weight loss....thats why I edited it.:)

Rog I'm totally playing with you, I know your weight lose story and I know how you have struggled...just trying to be funny and lighten the mood around the thread.

I'm sorry you lost your cat Rog.

I wish I could say your the only one but that's just about two of us because I haven't had any exercise this week so far and my dh walked in the door with freshly made pound cake he got from his work from a fundraiser...my God have mercy I have to have some and it's 12:30 am !:rolleyes1

Step away from the cake Terri, Step away from the cake.:rotfl2:

I'm so glad this thread was created! I did well calorie wise...just need to re think the protein. I had approx. 1200 calories even with 3 cookies after a crash in sugar lol. with all my work activity from the last week and at home I can tell a difference...along with doing away with my AM coffee splurge...no water weight gain lol...so far this am...2 tbs. peanut butter, 1 slice whole wheat bread, one banana

I walked and took my vitamins yesterday, but I also had ice cream. It was a bride/reward for our kids for sitting through our oldest daughter’s 2 hour 6th grade band concert. It was so hot in the school gym, I'm sure that I sweated off a few pounds!

Sorry about your cat, Rog. Our house always feels so empty when we are without a pet or two.

Now this is a llama

Well, since I've been reading this, I've lost, hmmmm, let's see 2 pounds! Well it's a start.

I think I've been pretty good. I did have rum and diet coke last night, so I am feeling the effects of it this morning (and I don't mean a hangover  I didn't have that much). It was such a nice evening that it lent itself to sitting outside with a book, sipping a drink. :rolleyes1 Why is it that food goes hand in hand with so much?? VACAMPER and I were talking about this yesterday. Relaxing=food, socializing=food, sympathy (i.e. dead cat)=food. Why can't we just eat when we're hungry?????

All my daughters' birthday sweets are now out of the house so I won't be tempted by those evil brownies and homemade whipped cream and rainbow cake!

I had corn chowder for breakfast...yeah, I know that's weird. ........and coffee! Gotta have that coffee.....is that sinfull?????

Welcome to the newcomers since yesterday!!!!!!!:cheer2:

1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp black pepper
3 cups canned tomato sauce
1 pound cooked pasta, jumbo shells, approximately 24 shells

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix together cheeses, salt, garlic powder, oregano & pepper

Spread a few spoonfuls of tomato sauce on btm of a 9x13 baking dish

When cooked shells are cool enouch to handle, fill each shell with cheese mixture and place in baking dish. When all shells are in dish, spoon remaining tomato sauce over shells. Cover pan and bake for 20 min. Yeilds 4 shells per serving. Points value 4, Servings 6.

VACAMPER, that sounds good. Thanks!

My DD9 said I should post a before pic and then an after pic when I loose the weight. I said she was NUTS!! Notice in my signature, that is my stratigic spot for all photos!

Always use the kids as "fat blockers" in photos!...My sister and I would laugh about doing that. THEN...the kids started getting taller..and taller...and totally blocked me out in the photos. Had to finally just step out IN FRONT of them. Scarry..very scarry:eek: Funny part of that is I was way thinner then, than I am now..and I thought I was fat. Now I wish I was that fat...errr..did that make sense?:scared: Oh..and the younger one is now 6'3"(and still growing).. he's soooo skinny. :sad2: Yep...his coaches want him gaining weight(if I didn't see him born..I'd swear he was switched at birth, and not really from my womb) So if he stands in front of me..you just see the sides of me, behind him. It's sooo fatering(oops, flatering...NOT!:scared:

Rog...I'm sorry to hear about your cat...hope the family is okay.

:yay: I'll be rooting for you Toni! I've been on the bandwagon since we finished "that" contest and have lost about 15 pounds (very slowly) of the 25 that I gained. Although I need to lose more and I'm now trying to get another 10 off before the end of next month. I think I may make a goal for a Disney Marathon too! I just checked out C25K.com, I think it is doable :thumbsup2. So I'll set my goal for the Disney Marathon 2010 too!
