Auntie that was hilarious. Also Rog, I checked for you 37 sec. aprx. .5 calories.
When watching TV, sit up instead of lying on the sofa. Better yet, spend a few minutes pedaling on your stationary bicycle while watching TV. Throw away your video remote control.
It seems we all have issues fitting in exercise, so I looked up some tips for easy ways to get a little extra into your day:
Do housework yourself instead of hiring someone else to do it.
Work in the garden or mow the grass. Using a riding mower doesn't count!
Rake leaves, prune, dig and pick up trash.
Go out for a short walk before breakfast, after dinner or both! Start with 5-10 minutes and work up to 30 minutes.
Walk or bike to the corner store instead of driving.
When walking, pick up the pace from leisurely to brisk. Choose a hilly route.
When watching TV, sit up instead of lying on the sofa. Better yet, spend a few minutes pedaling on your stationary bicycle while watching TV. Throw away your video remote control.
Instead of asking someone to bring you a drink, get up off the couch and get it yourself.
Stand up while talking on the telephone.
Walk the dog.
Park farther away at the shopping mall and walk the extra distance. Wear your walking shoes and sneak in an extra lap or two around the mall.
Stretch to reach items in high places and squat or bend to look at items at floor level.
Keep exercise equipment repaired and use it!

Great tips Ami.![]()
As far as cleaning..if I didn't do it..no one would!..So, I guess that's a good thing?....Not sure.
I always find that I'm much more active in the spring/summer when I'm outside gardening.
Even the dog is happy about my exercising a bit more..he's getting two more waks a day, and is lovin' it!![]()
As far as the calisthenics...REALLY?...:scared1:

Nah...after last night's conversation, I had to think of some way that activity would burn 150-300 calories!![]()
Hi! Try to limit the Atkins bars. They are good, but some of the ingredients can cause stalls, if you eat too many. I try to limit myself to 2 a week or so.
Sugarfree gum is fine, and so is sugarfree jello!
You're doing great so far! Induction is 2 weeks, and if you cut the Atkins bars, drink all your water, and make sure you get to as close to 20 carbs per day as possible, you could drop 10 pounds in that time!
Remember, during Induction: meat, eggs, cheese, and 2 cups of salad veggies per day. You can also have real salad dressing (italian, ranch, bleu cheese are best), butter, heavy cream in your coffee, sour cream (not low fat), and sugar free drinks. But, limit them, because artificial sweeteners can cause stalls in some people.
Rhonda those do sound good...where do you find those? I know flax is really good for you! I had a good day yesterday too...and managed to not go into hypoglycemia so maybe I'll repeat my day lol
Well I know we were all going to wait until Friday to weight but tomorrow I'll be so busy I might not get a chance to checkin so I thought I would go ahead and post.
I lost 3 pounds this week so far, I know that's not great but I'll be honest and say that I haven't exercised at all this week and I haven't exactly been faithful to my diet plan either, so I'm happy with the 3 pounds.
I also am battling a thyroid issue so I'm pleased with the 3. That's 47 more pounds to go.![]()
Good Luck Everyone, it's not easy or fun .![]()
