Official Fish Extender List for PCC 3.0 **contest results and photos**

Thanks Linda. I believe we will all have to come to your cabin anyway to pick up the gifts to deliver and our delivery lists, correct? We can all check them at that time. Appreciate all the work "all" you guys are doing.
Bonnie- only the people in our "FE Group" will come to my cabin (if that's what we decide).

I don't want everyone to think they need to stop by! ;)
Not that you are not ALL welcome :lovestruc- it just might get a tad crowded!! :rotfl:

But absolutely- we will have updated FE lists and cabin numbers available once we are on board- most likely posted on my door. Stay tuned for more details on that front.

I'm a little confused (never participated in a FE before).
Why do we need to go to Linda's cabin to pick up gifts? Aren't we all making our own?
And it looks like Mike & Tom are making up maps of cabins involved with their occupants, (for delivery) right?
I'm sure it's as plain as day to everyone else, but I'm clueless...

Everyone needs to go by Linda's room to verify everyone's cabin numbers or if your cabin has changed.

It never fails that when we check in, several folks get upgraded and their cabin # moves. Linda's cabin is home-base. She will have a list of corrections on her door. You need to check this list before you hand out any Fish extender gifts. If you have had your cabin # change for any reason, you will need to correct your cabin number. You will be able to update the list on Linda's door or call her Wave phone in her cabin and let her know.

Also, Linda will have a wildly decorated door that is worth seeing!! :rotfl2:

As for the door decorating- geez- you've raised the bar pretty high there Mike. My "old" magnets might not make the cut this time. Let me see what I can do... :3dglasses

Signing up for the Fish Extender on your cruise should be relatively easy. Whomever is going to head up the task should be able to keep track of the changes throughout the thread and keep record of them, updating the list as necessary.
From time to time, peoples cabin number changes. If this happens to you, please post a note on the thread so the list can be updated. One of the first few posts of the thread should contain the list of participants, their cabin number, number of adults, number (and age) of children, allergies, and special notes.

If for some reason you cabin number changes close to the sail date, or you upgrade your cabin at the port, that information needs to be shared with the rest of the Fish Extender group. The easiest way to do this is to have an update list posted. Someone who signed up for the Fish Extender Exchange should volunteer to do this.
Now here are a few tips:
1) If you can ship your gifts ahead of time, do it - saves so much room in your luggage. Make sure you allow enough time for your package to arrive prior to the start of the cruise. You don't want to get to the ship and discover that your package did not make it to meet you.
2) Be sure you have room in your luggage for the goodies you will receive. I thought I would have so much room in my suitcase since I had given away the goodies I brought; however, I had just as much to take home!
3) If you are talented and can make your gifts - they are so appreciated. All gifts are awesome, and homemade ones are like icing on the cake! ((or the meringue on the pie!!)
4) Deliver your gifts a floor at a time - maybe one floor a day.
5) Plan your delivery - either map them or organize by number.
6) Trip personalized gifts are awesome - some of the coolest gifts were items that were personalized with our cruise dates or motto (pens, notepads, etc)
7) Fasten your Fish Extender to the fish with a zip tie - there was a report of a near Fish Extender napping on our cruise thread - I think personalizing the Fish Extender helps, too.
8) Make delivering the gifts a family affair. At one point I could hear a cute family whispering outside my door as they had the kids put the goodies in the Fish Extender.

Remember, when you do a Fish Extender you will be the envy of many on the ship! I was stopped a couple of times asking how we got one of those and how could they participate! Of course, those folks have now been informed of the Disboards!

Something like if your room was to change day of cruise they would need to update your cabin door by 5pm, so that 6pm or later everyone can come to confirm the changes? Does that make a lick of sense? if so, what would you want the times to be?

I'm not sure- but I am thinking people could notify me by dinner time (early seating) and I will have the official list updated by our 7pm show time.

Does that sound reasonable?
 
Everyone should be settled by the Sail Away Party at 5pm.
 
So sorry that I confused everyone. For a minute I was confused and that was the problem. I was thinking of the group gift I am part of and picking the list up, not the entire group. Again.....sorry!

Just to make it a teensy weensy bit better- if you are participating in both the PCC only and the regular DIS FE- remember that there are a number of duplicates on those lists.
Don't just take the grand total from each list- remember to check for cabins on both lists. I think there are about 11 cabins on both lists.

I'm just doing the PCC group. That's plenty for this craft-challenged person! :rotfl:

My original idea was to make something for every person. It's a personalized item. I still want to do that......just feeling intimidated!!!

THIS is the PCC3.0 group. :thumbsup2 The whole list is in post #1 on this thread. Just click on "first" near the top right of these posts.

If you are looking for the DIS FE list- Tom (ImTooExcitedTooSleep) made a nice spreadsheet. He has 2 tabs in this document- located at the bottom. One for the PCC group (us) and another for the disboards group.

I believe DISer DVCFamily is in change over on the cruise meets boards and she will share the official list with that group when their sign up window closes (I do not know that date).
