I figured out a way around missing certain attractions in Feb due to the rehab schedule....

We're upgrading our 4-day tickets to annual passes when we're there in February and I've already booked flights for May and July for quick Sat-Mon trips. Only have to take one-day off of work, and Southwest has $49 flights each way to Orange County, so we won't have to make that BORING drive from Sacramento to Disneyland!!

We aren't telling our 4-year old, but she's going to die when she finds out she gets to go on a weekend trip to Disneyland with Mommy for her Birthday, then a weekend trip with Daddy just before she starts Kindergarten!

We are doing the same! When are you going in May? We will be there may 10-14 :)

Super fun! We are doing the same with an extra trip in October

We're heading back in May too! My Feb trip is a solo Mommy-time trip.... But DD has been begging to go again, and we've been putting it off since last summer. I refuse to tell her when we are going in May, so it will be a surprise trip for her!

This was on the Disneyland website for celebrating birthdays:
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/birthdays/

Perhaps you could let him pick the first and last rides of the day and give him a gift card? Not very creative, I know.

We gave him (and his sister) a gift card for Christmas, so that is covered. We'll definitely stop by and get him the birthday button. Not sure what he'll think of that but I hope he'd have fun with it.

Starting to get very excited for our upcoming trip!
We started planning the "little things" that make a trip magical tonight. We are cutting it a bit close but I have 20 days to figure it out - lol

Since this trip was sort of un-planned we haven't really done much with the dates happening DURING our trip. We are there for family day, my birthday, our wedding anniversary and come home on Valentines day! And seriously we did NOT plan the trip for this week on purpose - lol. It just happened to be the soonest week that had low crowd predictions and cheap hotels :)

So anyway - I don't have anything for family day figured out - anyone have ideas?

On my birthday I have birthday ears from 7 years ago and I'm taking our smallest three to BBB. That night we will do F and the fireworks but I don't know about dining. Maybe BB?

I am SUPER excited about our anniversary! We JUST decided tonight to get wedding mouse ears and printed t-shirts. His will say MR, mine obviously will say MRS and our kids .... will spell out our last name :) 5 kids, 5 letter last name - I do feel a bit sorry for the one going round with a giant L all day - lol. On the back we will get 15 put on all our shirts :)

Then for Valentines my kids had the cutest idea EVER. We are going to make Valentines for the flight crew! How sweet is that??? My sister is a FA and I am sure she would appreciate something like this, so I bet it will go over well with the crew - I hope. It's a smallish plane so I don't know how many crew there will be but we will do up like 10 - that will be more then enough. We wanted to do like chocolates too but I don't know if they can accept food for safety reasons so we might just stick to cards.

We will make up thank yous for the housekeepers and IDK I think that pretty much covers it :)

Good thing your last name wasn't longer, because then 5 kids would not be enough! Lol :faint:

I know if I hyphenated my last name when I got married we could have had a TV show.:rotfl:

Want to know something REALLY funny. We never even THOUGHT of this until tonight when I was joking about matching shirts and we started trying to figure out what we could put on them :)

:wave2::wave2::wave2: Hi Neighbor, I'm in Sacramento too! Aren't the flight rates great! I had booked when they were $62 so I called and got credit. We're going back in June and hoping flights stick around until March so I can book another flight for that rate.

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but could someone recommend a good grocery store near Disneyland? I saw a few on google maps, but have no idea which one might be decent! We plan on getting breakfast foods and snacks when we get there. TIA

We always go to the Target that's a few blocks straight down on Harbor. They always seem to have a very nice selection of things and we have picked up breakfast bowls, snacks, etc.

Wearing your birthday button is lots of fun, cast members and guests will wish you happy birthday all day and at times you get freebies! Like sprinkles on ice cream...my kids love to wear their birthday buttons when we are lucky to be there to celebrate! And they were it all week when we are there to celebrate, doesn't matter if it's their actually "bday".

20 days to go and I am sure that out of the three of us (me, DH and DS) that I am the one who is the most excited! :cheer2:

I need to start looking at putting an order together for Von's and exchanging some Canadian $ for American $ but other than those things and packing there is nothing else I need to do.

I think I need to start leaving more things until the last minute so that I have something to do!

looks like the transformation process has begun….

We are going again as a family in June 2016. We keep going in the winter and never get to swim, so we are planning a June trip and will include an off day at the pools! I have a group if friends I met on a Disney message board. Every few years we try to meet up in DL and it looks like we are going to meet this Nov. Usually DH doesn't go, but many of the other DHs do go, so we think we will both go so we can see the 60th stuff (well, it will probably still be there in June, but you never know). We will get APs then. We thought about it this time, but we would be right at the break even point for the two trips. Next June will be longer, so it makes more sense to get them in Nov.
