*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Thanks for the welcome. We stayed at Desert Inn our first trip, it was just fine. They were more expensive that Park Vue. We were quoted $109 for PV and $107 for Carousel.

For those doing adult birthdays in the park what did you plan for that day? It's my 37th while we are there.

I went for my 30th and we did a tour. I can't remember the name but it was the one where we ran around on a scavenger hunt with my kids and my parents. I LOVED IT but I don't think we will be doing that again. The little girls and I are going to do a princess morning at BBB and IDK what to plan for the rest of the day and dinner.

Then two days later is our 15th anniversary we will most likely be in DCA - we aren't drinkers (I'm allergic) so adult bevies are FAR off the list. What else is cool to do to celebrate in DCA?

Glad I'm following this. I just asked the same thing in another thread. I need some birthday ideas. We are not drinkers either and I'm not big on the fancy restaurants really either.

The only birthday I celebrated there was my 25th but it was when he lived in town so it was pretty much just a regular day...haha.

In March this year, it will mark 10 years since my husband proposed to me at Disneyland. So we're going to make sure we get a photo in his proposal spot. We had no idea 10 years ago that near the 'anniversary' we'd be back...with a 1 year old son!

We're staying at the Desert Inn in a 'parlor suite.' This will be our first stay here. I hope it's okay. We booked last May so we got a pretty good price - $94 a night.

I stayed at the Carrousel a few years back. It was nice and basic- but clean. The location was awesome!

I've only stayed at the Anabella and the Anaheim Plaza.

My sister and her family of 5 did a Parlour Suite and it was perfect for them. You sure got a great rate. I remember when we stayed in just a deluxe room it was like $69. I miss the HOJO Dis rate.

We are also keeping it a secret but DH wants us to tell him on Christmas. I was thinking of wrapping up a fake Disneyland "ticket" but then realized that I am the least artsy person in the world and have no idea how to make one! :confused3

I poked around in the Creative DISigns section but it seems I left it way too late. :headache:

Why not just go into your Word Document page and make one yourself at home, do up a letter from Mickey Mouse something like

"Hello ****

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas, to make it even more wonderful, here is a ticket to the most magical place on earth"

Insert a Diseny Picture in the center.

Then put -

'This voucher permits ******* to enter Disneyland on the **** of February 2015'

Can't wait to see you real soon,

From Mickey Mouse"

Then put some Disney pictures on it and print it out, pop it in an envelope, address it to him and pop it on his breakfast or lunch plate, so it doesn't get mixed up in the wrapping paper and lost.

Just an idea :)

On the off chance that someone was willing to do it for me, I posted a request in the DISigns section and someone actually made on for me!

Check it out HERE!

Wow! That is SO cute!

We are at the Grand Cal Feb 7-10! If you see two little blondies- a boy and a girl- girl younger with curls, that might be us!

I am going to purchase our 5 day park hoppers through Disney. We will get a Magic Morning with this. Am I correct that this is ONLY for DL, right? It does not include DCA?

How do we get EE into DCA, would we have to stay on site? (Which we are not, we are staying at a good neighbor hotel).

Thanks!

You are correct in all of this. Magic Morning is DL only and to get EE for DCA you have to stay onsite.

Edited to add: You can get a better price on the tickets buying through somewhere other than Disney. Orbitz and way.com are two that usually have the better deals.

Glad to see schedule for my dates are up. Now I need park opening times for Sat and Sun. Peter Pan doesn't go down until our last day Whew!

I am holding my breath on Pooh and Small World. Some sites are saying they reopen after the 5th. I hope they are right!

I hope so too for you guys. I will miss pooh and the railroad but one of the major dark rides at a time is enough.

Peter Pan is so busy we only ride it one or 2 x a day. But pooh was a multiple time ride and not so busy that we rode a lot when my girls were little. So fun for the girls.

I was sad about Peter Pan initially. We thought that would be our son's first ride. But now we're not entirely sure he'll like the dark rides. Not sure what we'll do for his first. Maybe Casey Jr. or Dumbo.

We decided on our first day we don't want to rush to a ride. We are going to take our time walking down Main Street and getting some photos by the castle. We have five days so there's no hurry.

This trip will be much different than past visits for us!
