*~* Official February 2013 Thread *~*

We just booked a 2 bedroom at BLT for February 8-16th! So excited. This will be our first time in a villa. Me, the hubby, the 3 princesses, and a set of grandparents.

Yay for Mardi Gras vacations! I'm booked Feb 7 - 15th. And woohoo for a villa - I think I'd love the space (were it in my budget).

This is our first time during Mardi Gras! Can't wait to see all the NOLA people there.
We rented points for the first time and it wasn't that bad since we have the grandparents coming too. I am looking forward to using the kitchen. We waste money with the DDP b/c my kids to not eat. So much easier to make some simple food for them.

Hi! I am new here but a HUGE Disney fan none the less. My DH & I honeymooned in Disney and I have been dying to go back and take my son for his first trip...sooo after pinching pennies & paying off a cc debit and booking my husbands beach vacation he has agreed to take our son in Jan or Feb. I am still trying to decide what the crowds are like. Is January better?!

I'm hoping to make my reservations next week for Feb 9-15. I'm just waiting for DH to request the time off from work.:rolleyes1 He is taking forever and waiting until after his stores grand opening this weekend. This will be our 1st ever Disney vacation!!!

Congrats on paying off your debt :thumbsup2 I would check easywdw for crowds.

Welcome :) Where do you plan on staying?

I am so curious about the new RFID technology and when it is going to be up and running. I am fine with change I just would rather it was all in place and the bugs worked out before I get there.

I'm trying to plan a trip the 16-23. Is this considered peak season? I had no idea!! Also, does anyone know much about the new art of animation resort? Are all the rooms suites? I thought it was considered a value resort?:confused3

I think it might be peak because of presidents day.

There is a great thread about the art of animation resort... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2576995

The Lion King, Cars and Nemo building are all suites, the Little Mermaid building is all regular rooms, no suites. Those rooms are priced comparable with the other values, about 5 a night more than Pop.

Welcome to everyone joining this thread! :cool1:

It is so exciting to book your DW vacation! I have not officialy booked yet because I am waiting for the packages to come out, but know everything I want to book.

Welcome to all our new February friends! Great to have you on board!

As Jannel, I'm waiting for the next year rates to be released so I can book the whole MYW package. I need my tickets and my DDP booked together so I can rest easy and know everything is set and ready to go.

I just realized there is less than 280 days to go until February! It's getting closer and closer!

Nine months today! Let's see, that means I only have to keep my secret for at least...four or five more months *sigh*

My little countdown Mickey head on my phone shows 275 days till my trip. I love seeing that number drop every day (though I think it contributes to some serious battery drain, I can't help but leave it there).

Welcome to all of the new folks popping up on this thread. :cool1:

I called yesterday to get a room only quote and have decided that I will wait to book until the packages come out! I can't wait!:cool1:

I did Presidents Week this year. For us, we won't do that week again. I've been spoiled by low crowds in my previous visits and my kids are young so taking out of school isn't a big deal yet. If taking out of school becomes a problem, I would go back this week, though.

We have it narrowed down to end of Feb (Feb 28-March7) or October 2013. I just don't think I can wait until October, so I'm sure it will be another Feb trip for us. We did Presidents Week this year and don't want to do it again. The year before we did end of Feb/beg March and it was fabulous (weather and crowds).

One last thing that may delay the trip to October is we may try for a third baby soon! If we get lucky quickly, we may be having a baby:rotfl:

Our resort of choice will either be Poly, POR RGR, or Art of Animation.

I'll keep you all posted.
