Official Disneyland ½ Marathon & 5k

Trying to decide if I'm doing my c2c or not (I live in Oregon I should!) but was wondering for budgeting purposes if there is a discount code like for the princes for park passes? Is anyone able to copy and paste the tix prices please?

Thank you!

If you check out GETtravel, they sell discounted park tickets for the DL half marathon. They were definitely worth checking out- we bought 3 day park hopper tickets that were $50 cheaper than booth prices. I believe if you want to get to their website, you can get to it through the runDisney website, or just do a Google search.

Thought of one more question...

I have Hyatt points and was curious about the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Does anyone know if this is "walkable" the morning of the race or if they have a shuttle race morning?

thank you!

I got my ticket last year through GET Travel. Three day hopper for well below booth price, as PP said.

You can either have them FedEx your ticket or you can pick it up at the expo at their booth.

I have stayed at the Hyatt before...it's very nice, but I don't think it is in walking distance...I guess technically it would be, but a pretty FAR walk for race morning. I think there was an ART stop right across the street though, and they have their own free shuttle, so getting back would be no problem. The rooms are all recently redone (last couple of years) and they are very nice, and the lobby was being worked on while I was there, i've heard it was supposed to be very nice also. :goodvibes

There are some good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel...a Buca di Beppo right next door, yum!!

Just signed the whole family up for the 5K! It will be the kiddos first Disney race.

Heads up guys ~ just saw on the site that the 5k Stroller Division sold out already which means that the 5k "normal" reg is going to go a little faster. Thank god payday is in 2 days!

I saw this on Saturday so I went ahead and registered the family.

Caved and registered for the 5k w/ this paycheck. Did anyone who registered for the 5k also notice that they are offering a 5k pin this time? I ordered one to see what it looks like, I'm assuming it'll be close to the logo similar to the ones that you get w/ the 1/2 pins. Hoping this year will be special now that everything will be done in DCA this year.

So I am now done w/ everything for the weekend. Registration for both races is done, hotel is booked and my AP will be good so no need for tickets, now it's time for the race to get here!!

I got the 5K pin for the Halloween 5K in WDW back in October. It looks just like the finishers Medallion.

Well, I just signed up for the half tonight. Going for my coast to coast! I'll be running my first half at the Princess next week. Here's hoping it goes well since I'm now committed to doing another!

I'm also excited about visiting DL again since it's been about 20 years since I was last there!

Thanks for that! I figured it would look like the medal, but was just worried about whether they have ever done one for a 5k before, never saw one at the DL races. I emailed them just in case, not like it matters, I ordered one just in case. :rotfl2:

If anyone's on the fence, the website got updated again today and the 1/2 is at 93%. It'll probably sell out tomorrow or early Sunday so don't forget to register. So much for having a tiered $ for the reg, they won't even get to the 2nd tier. But maybe that was their plan all along...

I booked the whole family for the 5K. The kids really wanted to do it-DD(12), DS(11), DD(9). Should be fun!

Anyone have any idea what the "medal" might look like?

Now I've really got to plan our trip. I don't even have a hotel booked yet. I am so used to planning a WDW trip and knowing all about it but DL is all new to me.

Your kids are going to have so much fun!! The medal will probably be Cars themed. Cars Land is opening in DCA in June, so I'm thinking they're going to tie it all in. They did that last year w/ the huge makeover w/ Star Tours.

Planning for DL is a lot easier than WDW so don't worry too much!! :goodvibes If you are just going to the parks and not traveling around LA, you won't even need a car. Everything is in walking distance. The parks are right across from each other so park hopping is really easy, and DTD offshoots from the 2 parks, kind of like a "T". Like I mentioned above w/ Cars Land opening and entrance area/square major remodel, DCA could be busier than DL w/ more people, but that could be a good thing if you're going to be in DL more. If you're not staying at 1 of the resort hotels, look for hotels on Harbor or Katella. There are a lot and you can easily find one in your price range and type of room that you're looking for. Almost all of the hotels also offer AAA Card discounts and some have Entertainment Card discounts as well.

Also, getting to the race start from the hotels is really easy. Not sure where the start will be, but I wouldn't worry about it. The past 3 or 4 years it started at the Mickey and Friends parking structure and you could walk there from DTD.

Hope that helps!! :goodvibes Where in Mass are you in? My sister lives in Allston.

Good luck next weekend girls!! Hope the weather is great!!

I"ve never done the pasta in the park but the area, Big Thunder Ranch, is a nice area. It's big and open. The 5k is awesome!! If you can swing it, you should do both! It's a little hard to say about the courses b/c they haven't released them, but last year we got to go in different backstage areas that we didn't run in the 1/2. The coolest part is when we exit DL and then go to the left and backstage over to DCA and go down an underpass under the pedestrian walkway. I just think I liked it, b/c until I ran it, I never knew it was under there! :rotfl2: Plus, if the finish is in DCA again where it's been for the past couple of years, we will probably be able to run through Cars Land and w/ all the people going to be there during the park hours, it'll be nice to get an upclose look at the area w/o a lot of people around. I also use it as my picture time. I'm not going hard b/c of the 1/2 on Sunday, so I bring my camera and do all the park and character pics on Saturday. That way I don't have to bring my camera on Sunday.

So bummed! Not kidding since it was at 93% I was going to register tomorrow.... oh well no C2C for me this year!
