Oh, cool! So you can try emailing the CRT special events department (wdwcrtspecialevents@email.disney.com) to request this, but if they act confused or say it's not an option, you'll have to go through the Contemporary, which means phoning Private Dining to place the order. :thumbsup2

Ordered this cake for my SIL's birthday. Had it delivered to our room at BLT. It was chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and vanilla buttercream under the fondant. Price was $115. It was very delicious!!!

[Wow that looks awesome did Chef Brian do it? I have a cake ordered for Friday night!:dance3:

Not sure if Brian did it because when I sent an email thanking him I got a response from someone else. Whoever made it did an awesome job!!! I did correspond with Brian to order it though.

Hi, A bit of a random question. But I am thinking of buying the white chocolate stitch figure for dinner at 'ohana's on my daughter's birthday. Would it be possible just to buy her the figure without a cake?

Also I've seen that often disney give a cupcake for someone's birthday out on a plate which has lilo and stitch and happy birthday written on it, does anyone know if you can buy these and then get my daughters name written on it, so she has something she can keep?

Also planning on getting a cake done for my littlest ones birthday too, but still not sure on design yet, will keep an eye on new pics coming in for inspiration.

Thanks :).

So excited that I just ordered a customized Her Highness Package for DDs at the CRT. I ordered 1 balloon, 2 tiaras and 2 slippers for $75 plus tax and gratuity.

Silly ?: will I see the delivery person to tip them? Who who should I give the gratuity to?

The staff at CRT will bring it to your table, usually your server but we have had cake brought out by another staff member at restaurants.

Just wanted everyone to know that I had a very smooth experience ordering a surprise mini cake for our anniversary dinner at the Cali Grill in two weeks! I called the private dining number for the Contemporary and spoke to a very nice CM who gave me the pastry chef's e-mail. I then e-mailed the pasty chefs a detailed description of what I was hoping for. They e-mailed back letting me know that everything I wanted was doable :yay:! The cake will be two tiers, with one tier being vanilla and the other chocolate, frosted with chocolate buttercream and with raspberry filling. I then called the private dining number back and put my order in. The cost was $40, which I wasn't expecting seeing as I was making an unusual request (they don't normally make mini cakes with two flavors).

I'll of course share a picture when the day arrives :).

Is there a difference between the mini castle cake and the mini cake??? Can you get different flavorings?? I am so confuesd. I want to ordered a cake for my DD 3rd birthday in May and want to understand the cake part and know where I can get it before I make ADRs. TIA
I should also add DH is not going to let me spend probably oover 50 on the cake.

Yes you can just buy the Stitch figure :thumbsup2

Ok- I read this the other night and have been thinking 'what would I like to do." Hey- it keeps me from having to sculpt gumpaste Dora the Explorer  OK...architect immediately makes me think blueprint. Now maybe it's a bit too literal, but what if the cake were covered in blue fondant and it were decorated to look like a blue print for RnR, but what would make it pop...if some of the rollercoaster aspects detailed in that blue print were to be done in 3D form in gumpaste/fondant and sort of spring up from the ideas portrayed in the blueprint on the cake.

Since he has not decided on a place to eat----which person do you think could pull this off? Depending on that--I will try to steer him to a choice so that the said person can make the cake.

I want to order a cake for my inlaws' 40th anniversary while we're in WDW late November... however, my MIL can't stand fondant AT ALL, so I'm a little concerned about my decoration options for the cake. Has anyone ordered a cake with buttercream icing and decorations beyond frosting flowers? I was hoping for the Mickey/Minnie anniversary topper with maybe a few poinsettias since they had a Christmas wedding. Thanks!

Hi all, I wanted to report on our cake experiences from our trip on the 9th. I decided that it would order only mini cakes this time and made my orders about 6 weeks out. I contacted each restaurant and asked for the pastry chefs email. The ordering process was quick and the only issues I had was a changed phone number which I informed lurkyloo of and that the email I had for the Contemporary had changed.

I sent an image I made with Photoshop of each cake I wanted and the exact flavor, filling, personalization. The only one I did not send to was Chef Brian. I told him what I would like, colors and flavors and the design was up to him. He did not dissapaoint.:thumbsup2 I also called a couple of days before we left to verify each order and everything was set. So I left for my trip and prayed a little.

Here is my very happy results.

Yachtman Steakhouse: emailed and spoke with Yvette.
2 tiered mini cake....vanilla cake with dark chocolate mousse filling.
Asked for colors of yellow and peach with roses. A single white rose a must.
Cost: $35
After our delicious dinner our sever arrived with our cake. It was moist and tasty and enough for the three us, even four.:goodvibes

On our MNSSHP night we had lunch at the Crystal Palace. When our meal was over our server brought us our bill. Huh? I told him I had ordered a cake. My family knew about this so there was no real surprise. He said he would check and after a few minutes returned with our cake. It caused a bit of a commotion with people oooing and aahing. A woman was the UK offered to take a pictire of us with our little Halloween treasure. Like I said Brian did not dissapoint.:thumbsup2

Crystal Palace: emailed Chef Brian

Asked for colors of purple and orange with a little black mickey witches hat on the top.

Lastly was DD's birthday. I sent a picture of lurkyloo's adorable pink and green mini cake and a picture of my own to Jesse with my requests and she sent me a reply saying she could duplicate it. After our dinner at the Flying Fish we recieved a bill and no cake. I told our server and after a few minutes he returned with DD's cake. Another great tasting cake and perfect for our girl's 22nd birthday.:goodvibes

Flying Fish: emailed Jesse
2 tiered mini cake...red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.
Decorated like lurkyloo's except with yellow roses and purple buttercream.
Cost: $25
Delicious....:yay:

All in all wonderful experiences...after 3 failed attempts using the GF bakery I have to admit that I was cake gun shy...but no more. I called to verify and asked where my cake was when it didn't arrive. I'm very happy and might even give GF another chance on our Decmeber trip next year.:goodvibesThanks lurkyloo for your expert advice. I don't know what we would do without you.:thumbsup2
