Last time we were in Disney in December celebrating DD's b-day I got her a mini wedding cake at the GF. We are going this December, was thinking of the Cinderella slipper. I see you can maybe get it in milk chocolate at CRT and only CRT correct? Also, if I remember correct, the slipper is filled with a mousse and some berries on top. Is this still what I should expect if I order the slipper? Thanks!
OK, here are the photos to go with Dis703's post...

How much was this one?? Something like this would be perfect for what I need. Thanks!
The Deluxe resorts (and the theme parks serviced by their pastry teams) are your best bets. You'll need to call and ask about the milk chocolate instead of white chocolate thing, though. It could be that they keep a stash on hand, so white is your only option. If they'll custom make one for you, maybe then you could get milk. Let us know what you find outthe white chocolate Stitch I bought tasted TERRIBLE, so I'd love to know if you can get it in milk chocolate.
Well, the outside vendors I've seen mentioned are Anna Cakes, Bake Me a Cake, It's Tasty Too, and Sprinkles, but they won't be able to create chocolate Disney characters for you due to licensing. They won't even put Disney designs on their cakes. ...Or did you mean to use them for cupcakes if Disney won't do them?
Hello,
I am wondering if any one can help me.
We are travelling to WDW in September for 14 days. Our last full day is my mum and dads 30th wedding anniversary.
We have a reservation at Teppan Edo I would love to have a cake for them.
What I want to know is could I arrange this after I arrive? Will be 8 days before we arrive. Or should I just ring and arrange this before we go? I would just love to have a miniature version of their wedding cake made.
You can order a cake with just 48 hours' notice. Unfortunately, Teppan Edo can only get standard chocolate or vanilla buttercream cakes from its outside vendor—they don't offer custom cakes. You might consider having BoardWalk Bakery re-create their cake and then pick it up on your way into Epcot.
So I called the Boardwalk Inn to order a custom cake and the woman said first of all it was too early, which is understandable bc I'm not going until September. Then she told me I couldn't send or email a picture for a rough idea of what I want...When I asked her if I could send or email a picture, she just said 'no maam'...that's it.
I asked her if they could design it to a specific theme...she said 'well it has to be Disney'...so I said 'Great! How about a circus Dumbo theme?!' she said, 'we'll have to see if they will do that...'
What?? Then I asked if I could send in a figurine to the bakery for them to add to the top of the cake...she said 'no maam'...I am SUPER confused. I've read through the cake threads and have found the things I was asking to do have been done multiple times based off of the posts on here so I just don't get it...Oh she also told me if I wanted a fancy fondant covered cake it HAD TO BE at least 10 inches...HAD TO. She also kept telling me repeatedly that I HAD TO be staying at the BWI to order a cake (which I am...)...Perhaps the BWI bakery changed some rules since they reopened? Part of me is wondering it depends upon the CM you get on the phone...
Well I have some time to suprise my kids, but I really hope my plans don't get axed bc of some new rules or by a CM who is not willing to help me out.
When I see so many gorgeous elaborate cakes on these threads I was really discouraged by my phonecall experience. Perhaps when I call back when the time comes I'll get better reception with a different CM...
Hello everybody!
1. Since we'll be dining in the MK, we would call private dining at the Contemporary, yes?
2. As there will only be three of us, I was thinking about ordering a mini-cake. Any recommendations on sizes?
3. I know they can generally do themeing requests, but do you think they might be able to do something themed like Wreck-it-Ralph/Vanellope von Schweetz? I wouldn't really want a cake shaped like Vanellope, but maybe some theming based off that would be cool. I would love if it somehow incorporated Vanellope's medal that she gives Ralph. DH and I really like Wreck-it-Ralph and will be going as Ralph and Vanellope to MNSSHP!

When you do call, ask for the email of the pastry chef. CM's who answer the phones don't seem to know much. I worked with Jessi and was very pleased with my cake.
