I'm getting the anniversary cake on this index (Mickey Minnie cake topper) The picture is a six inch, but I was wondering if an eight inch is better for my family of five. (me, dh, dd6, twins 1). The Boardwalk Bakery will be doing it. $50 for the six inch $80 for the eight. What do you all think? Sorry for the quote, but I couldn't post just the one pic.

A 6-inch cake will be plenty, especially with three of the five of you being kids. :thumbsup2

Is there any special "treat" I can have with our Garden Grill meal?
Can I get a dark chocolate slipper dessert at Chef Mickeys?

At Garden Grill about the only thing you can get is a cake. People have been able to order the white chocolate slipper dessert at Chef Mickey's, but the milk chocolate one is only available at Cinderella's Royal Table.

How did you get BWB to customise a 6 inch cake? I was told when I called that they would only do a 10 inch?? I want to organise a cake for my Dad's 60th :)

I just ordered mine! I've been stalking this thread trying to get an idea of what I wanted for months now. My son's 5th birthday is Sat, Oct. 30, and we'll be eating at Chef Mickey's. I just emailed with Brian and called in my order for an 8" marble Pirate themed cake, choc mousse, choc fondant! I was quoted $135 but I asked for a $100 budget, so he said they could scale back the decorations. I hope it's not too bare! I would hate for it to be minimal, but $135 is a lot, plus tax and gratuity!

I spoke with Keith, via email at the bakery. I had started out wanting a tiered cake, but rethought things. He sent a quote via email and said that I should give my phone number to him so that private dining could call me to formalize the order. I have not heard from private dining yet, but I will call them as the day gets closer. We will be picking up the cake, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I emailed him a photo of the cake--don't know if that helped or not. Good luck.

What kind of cake can I get at Garden Grill? Just the 6 in. "Sara Lee" type?

Worse! It's an EasyBake Oven type! :rotfl:

I dunno what the Epcot Bakery's deal is, but for some reason it doesn't do the supermarket/Sara Lee style cakes that the other parks offer. :confused3

I thought at Garden Grill you could also get the Mickey head or one of the "personalized" cakes they do with the image on the frosting? I'd call the cake hotine and push the option for EPCOT and see what your options are.

So upset! I called yesterday to have the "no notice required" celebrate today cake sent to my DBIL and DSIL at Le Cellier tonight for their anniversary and they didn't get it. :confused3 I was all excited for a call from them when they were done eating and all I got was a picture of their creme brule! No cake!! I called the hotline to make sure I wasn't charged and to find out what happened. Left a voicemail...not really a big deal, I guess, but I was excited about surprising them so I'm really disappointed. :(

Finishing up my photobook, and was wondering if there is an official description of the Cinderella Slipper Dessert that is offered at CRT?

Thanks Karen

So I followed this thread for a very long time, and ordered a cake as a surprise for my parents' 20th wedding anniversary back in July. We stayed at BLT, Brian made our cake, and we had it delivered to our room.
We were very happy with everything.

Fast forward to now,
I am an officer of my high school dance team and my family is in charge of planning our Spring Break trip there (as we go every summer). We have reservations for Chef Mickey's one night. There's 80 people total - we have 4 reservations of 20. That night is our Colonel's (top officer) 18th birthday and I wanted to order a cake for her to be delivered then. We have extra money built in to the budgeted amount for food so money's not a huge issue. Would it even be possible to have a cake made for that many people?

I'm planning on emailing Brian but wanted to ask here first to see what yall think?

I ordered a custom cake in September from BWB. I wanted a smaller cake, but was told no, only 10 inches or larger.

Anyone ever order a cake for Ohana?

If you look back in the posts for this thread you will see the custom cake we got for my DD for her birthday. I worked with the pastry chef at GF and they delivered the cake to Ohana so we had it for dinner.

A white cake with a white chocolate slipper and flowers. Three layers with whipped cheesecake between them. It was a surprise for my 35th birthday at the california grill. It was TOOOOO much cake for us. I knew I was getting something but had hoped for something smaller. I think we could have gotten away with the slipper and chocolate but this was a wonderful thing to have. Our waiter, Ron, had us at our table for 4 hours that night. I was magical to see the sunset and wishes from the top of the contemp.

I think the cost was $65.

Kelly has been fantastic to work with, I emailed her photos I found under this fabulous thread for a cake that I want made for my Dec. b-day. She called me today and had me talk to the chef since I am allergic to chocolate. This is the cake that I want for my b-day. It is a Christmas cake but since my b-day is in
Dec, I love it!!!

I'm getting a vanilla cake with strawberry filling :) Also, a whipped cream frosting vs. butter cream.
