I'm really begining to dislike Edie. In the begining it was funny, like to hate, but now she is just plain mean and a user.

Thought it wa a good episode tonite....looking forward to this season :goodvibes

I told my DD early on in the show I thought something was up with the new girl. Even Julie doesn't think she is who she pretends to be.

I'm thrilled for Susan and I almost started crying when Lynette let everyone know she has cancer.

Can't wait till next week...

Tonight's show was really good, but I have a question about something that is bothering me.

Maybe I am remembering something that didn't happen, but in Season 1- weren't Lynette and Susan introduced as sisters? Whatever happened to that?

I believe it was said something like Susan and Lynette were as close as sisters or something similar.

Does anyone need a recap? :confused3

Tonights episode opens with a short recap and then:

We see the chair in Edies bedroom fall over and Mary Alices voice narrating about how Edie really never intended to kill herself. We then see Carlos come home calling out to Edie who is upstairs "staging" her little game.
Just as Carlos is about to head up the stairs, Mrs McClutsky comes over demanding for Carlos to come outside and debate about garbage cans at the curb. While the two of them are out there discussing sanitation, Mrs Mc Clutsky looks up and sees what looks like Edie hanging in front of the window. Carlos bolts in the house and cuts her loose, essentially "saving" her life.
Next we see Susan lying in bed thinking about "secrets that women tell", Lynette is lying in her bed thinking over her cancer, Bree is in her bed dwelling on her make believe pregnancy, all this while an ambulance drives down the street.
Next shows us Susan, Bree and Lynette arriving at the hospital to the waiting Carlos on what happened with Edie. When Lynette asks if they should have called Gabby, Carlos remebers something and runs down the hall.

Fast forward to an obnoxiously waiting Victor knocking on Gabbys bathroom door wondering if she would be coming to bed. Gabby is preoccupied thinking about the magical romantic trysty moments she had with Carlos during her wedding to Victor where the two of them decided that they would run away together as they still loved each other. Remember that Gabby overheard Victor and his Dad talking about the Latino vote and she was hurt by that fact that maybe Victor had married her for the wrong reasons.
Meanwhile, Carlos is on the phone with Gabby telling her about Edie and now because of this fact he can't run away with her for at least 2 weeks. Gabby is NOT happy and tells Carlos that she will try to work it out with Victor now and hangs up the phone.
Next we see Susan and Mike looking at a card that says One Month Later. Seems they have now been married for a month and Susan is happy and wants to know if Mike is happy as well. Mike says he is happy but Susan questions him. She thinks something is missing with him and starts over reacting and demands to know what he wants. As Susan walks away, Mike notices the moving van across the street.

Bree wants Andrew to help her with her fake belly. Andrew gives her static and says they will end up getting caught. Orson comes down and notes the moving van across the street too.

Our first shocker moment of the night goes to Lynette who has now sat up in bed and we see her BALD head. Seems her wig is missing off the nightstand, but is soon located. Parker is at the door also pointing out the van across the street.

Victor is over at Gabbys old house with a realtor. Gabby walks in and wants to know what is going on. She at first tells Victor that she does not want to sell and then changes the subject by noticing the moving van as well.

Gabby joins Lynette, Bree and Susan outside to gawk at the new neighbors.
A car pulls up and a woman gets out. (Dana Delaney) Susan knows this lady and runs over to say hello. Seems "Katherine" an old neighbor is moving back to Wisteria Lane after 12 years. Seems Katherine used to live there with her Aunt Milly. We also meet Katherines husband the Doctor. "Adam" as well as her daughter Dillon. Dillon is a bit uninformed though and it is noticable as she doesnt remember things she should. Katherine seems to also be a bit of a witch and mentions that Bree should cut a tree down in her yard that is bothering her.
Katherine decides to throw a BarBQ the next Saturday so they can meet the neighbors and lets us all know that she is back.

Bree and Orson are shopping at Macy's. Orson is concerned that they will be found out and people will notice that Bree is not really pregnant. When an older woman shows up at the store and wants to feel Brees belly, Bree gets a tad testy and grabs the old womans wrist! She finally lets go after threatening her and they make their escape.
Susan is at the Gyno for her annual check up except that the regular Dr has had an emergency and the new Dr will be seeing her. Well, lordy be, guess who that would be??? Yep, the new neighborhood addition! Whut Wo! He is now in the office telling Susan to spread her legs. How mortifying!!

Lynette is at her childs school when Muriel an obnoxious mother of another child comes up demanding that Lynette do her share with fundraising gala duties. Lynette agrees to help when Lynettes mother tells her she should have played the cancer card with that woman. Lynette is nauteous and her Mother thinks they should leave.

Back at the Dr, the Dr Adam Mayfair thinks Susan might be entering menopause. Susan gets angry and tells him that she is not going through menopause and sticks her arm out for a blood test.

Meanwhile, back at school, Lynette gets sick and grabs what she thinks is her Mothers purse, and heaves ho into it, only for Mom to inform her that it wasnt her purse! Oops. (It was Muriels that obnoxious other Mother. :happytv:
Fast forward to the BarBQ that the new neighbor has thrown for herself. Katherine chums up to Mrs McClutsky who remembers that Katherine had skipped town in a hurry without even saying goodbye all those years back. Katherine seems a bit surprised that teh old woman remembers such things.
Next thing we see a tempermental Susan with Mike who is wondering why his new wife is moody. When a group of elderly women invite them to sit down, Susan cries out and runs away.
Katherines daughter Dillon has known made an appearance where she doesn't seem to remember Julie her childhood best friend. Julie hugs Dillon and starts to reminisce about their childhood. Julie takes Dillon to meet some of the old gang.
Susan is telling Mike that she is in the early stages of menopause. She is flipping out about her last egg and he tells her that if they dont end up with any kids that he would be happy still.
Carlos shows up with Edie who is goofy acting and calling Carlos sweetheart and when Carlos walks away she tells her friends that her and Carlos are talking mariage. Gabby walks away and finds Carlos and congratulates him.
Edie also thinks the neighborhood party is for her!
Gabby and Carlos hunker down by the car and stat necking. I should mention that Gabby was complaining to Carlos and she wants him to prove his love for her by running away. Carlos tells Gabby that he has to take care of Edie and has to be back by midnight to give Edie her medicine. Gabby storms off.

Back at the party, Bree just gets off her cell with Danielle who wants a new DVD player while she is away. Bree walks into a fork and it is sticking out of her belly when one of the ladies starts calling for a Dr as Bree could be in danger., Orson jumos in and pretends they are playing a joke.
Physcho Mom Muriel has again shown up with a packet of volunteer work for Lynette. Lynettes Mother thinks Lynette should tell about her cancer.

Back with Orson and Bree who have now walked away from the party and Orson wants to pretend they went away and Bree miscarries the baby to save face. Bree tells Orson that this child will be her chance to start again with a second chance and a new baby. He tells Bre that he will continue with the charade.

Lynette tells Muriel that she is tired. She starts by saying she is tired and ends up taking the wig off exposing her bald head, Muriel back off finally.
but not without the ladies of Wisteria Lane seeing Lynettes now shiny dome. The women make a pact that there will be no more secrets among themselves where we even see Bree agree. :rolleyes1

Gabby tells Victor that she is not happy and she wants to talk. Gabby tells Victor that she doesnt feel like she is first and wants him to make her number one in his life. She also wants to go away with him next week, Victor tells Gabby that he is available next April for 2 whole weeks.

Carlos tells Edie that he is headed to Sciavos for a couple of bees. When Edie wants to go along, Carlos tells her no. Carlos then shows up at Gabbys where they start kissing.

Julie is talking to Dillon and Dillon is saying that she doesnt recall anything and for years that she has had a creepy dream. Julie asks if Dillon has ever talked to anyone about this.

Susan is at her kitchen table when the new neighbor shows up and tells her that her estrogen levels were fine and that he was wrong about the menopause and also that she is preggers! Susan and Mike are overjoyed.

Carlos is sleeping on the couch and Edie comes in and announces that she went through his papers and found his off shore Caymen Islands bank accounts with 10 million dollars in it. She tells Carlos that when he is not with her she misses him and going through his things makes her happy. She also tells Carlos not to hurt her and how important the relationship they have is with her.

Mary Alices voice comes back on and the camera pans through the neighborhood where we see Lynette looking out the window with a scarf around her head thinking about secrets. Gabby is next, followed by Bree and then Susan. Julie walks in the room here and tells Susan that she thinks something is up with Dillon and that is not the same girl she knew.

The last scene is of Katherine standing in a dark bedroom and the Dr coming in and asking what she is thinking about and if they made a mistake coming back here. Katherine asks him if they had a choice. They discuss something about if that was the room and if Dillon remembers what happened there and they leave and close and lock the bedroom door. Weird.

Show ends.

Next week shows Carlos finding broken glass on the floor and telling Edie that someone broke into the house.
Tom and Lynette fight at chemo and Lynette asks Tom to go
Susan gets mistaken for a hooker
Carlos is afraid Edie will catch him over at Gabbys
Edie asks Carlos to marry her

Thanks for the recap, ChristmasElf! You never fail to deliver!! I really appreciate it because I missed the first 10 minutes and was pretty curious to how the whole Edie thing played out. I knew she wouldn't be dead but I didn't realize she was staging the whole thing. It doesn't surprise me though. I would have been okay if she had decided to leave the show. Her character has never done a thing for me and I doubt I'd miss her.

I think Susan is pregnant with Ian's child. The timeline would fit too. Susan can never seem to have a happy normal relationship. There is always drama; I'm sure this will be no exception. The "Ian's my baby's daddy" storyline would certainly play into the drama predictably and nicely. I could be wrong though so I guess time will tell.

I totally thought the same thing. I kept expecting Mike to get that look on his face, that he thought the same thing too. Did they say how far along she is suppossed to be?

I also really dislike Edie.

I dislike Edie as well....so now Carlos will be forced to stay with her.....what is the deal with the money? I thought that was all taken care of when he was in prison?

I liked last night's episode too.

I don't like where they are going with Edie either. She was a fun person to hate, now I can't stand her after what she's doing to Carlos.

I also think Ian may be the dad of Susan's baby. The show is going to need drama between Susan and Mike and that would certainly be drama;)

I was also thinking that the father of Danielle's baby will be Caleb's brother (his name escapes me for the moment). I think it would be hysterical for Bree to have to explain how her and Orson gave birth to an African-American baby:rotfl:

I predict that Susan will have to have a sonogram or some other test that will reveal that she is further along than she should be for the baby to be Mikes. I also think that either the baby will be miscarried or else have some kind of medical problems just to add some drama to the show.

Speaking of pregnancy, I wonder if Gabby and Carlos are playing with fire, and maybe Gabby will get "knocked up" as well.

Did anyone notice taht when they were showing the women looking through their windows (towards the end of the show) that Bree did not have the fake baby belly on in that scene? I wonder if she will accidently get caught without wearing it? Either that, or Danielles baby will be born with some kind of "mark" or "trait" that runs in Edies family and Edie will recognize the baby that Bree claims is hers and figure out that Danielle is the real Mother......:rolleyes1

And since I am so busy giving out so many opinions, what is up with the new neighbors background story? Having to move back to town? What for?
Whats with the daughter not remembering anything? What happened in that bedroom? Just how long has Katherine been married to this Adam the Dr?

If I recall correctly, too much time had passed between Caleb's brother's death (his name is escaping me at the moment too) and when Danielle became pregnant. However, I did have a thought that maybe it is her history teacher's baby. He was ethnic too I believe and she was with him shortly before Austin, wasn't she?

loved last night's episode:cool1: except what the heck have they done with Edie's character. She is an independant, carefree woman. The crazy psycho character is way too off

I really hope Orson stays for a long time on this show. I love him and Bree together. I was cracking up when she had the fork in the stomach and was trying to explain it :rotfl: :rotfl: Then Orson said "C'mon Bree, let's try this prank on Ms. McKlusky":lmao:

Thanks for the recap ChristmasElf...can't believe I fell asleep!

I think Susan is pregnant with Iain's baby as that is how things work on Wisteria Lane!

I agree with everyone who doesn't like what they are doing with Edie. I loved how Carlos and Gabby were going to run away together.

The fork in the fake pregnant tummy??? :rotfl2: My favorite part!

I wondered if Susan's baby will be Ian's.

Looks like a good start to the season!

I'm thinking Susans baby is MIke's because the show moved ahead 4 months since their marriage. (and having it be Ian's would be to easy for us to figure out) I'm thinking the drama might be a problem carrying the baby since Susan is advanced maternal age :)

Loved the part where the new neighbor told Bree she would have to cut down her tree and put up curtains!

I'm also thinking the daughter might have been rape by someone. No one has said anything about her father, so perhaps it was him and her mom killed him or maybe she killed him during it and has now blocked it all out.

But why in the heck would her mother move her back into that house and into a room that something horrible happened in???

Seems to be something with the new husband as to why they moved back, but why to that house???

And who's house is it? Is it the house that Mary Alice lived in?

Does anyone remember who moved in on the street and in what order? I remember a flash back show that told this story.

I loved last night and got a lot of:rotfl2: from it. I think the new neighbor is perfect for this show. Sure would hate to live on that street...lots of lunnies seem to come there.

I think the daughter of that new woman is not her daughter at all and was kiddnapped from another family and that is why she does not remember anything prior a certain age.

I think that the mom killed her daugter accidentally or something or is covering up that someone else did and the only way to hide that fact is to replace her with another child, move away long enough till the girl grows up and no one will recognize her.

The knife seen, OB/GYN(my favorite) and throwing up in the purse were priceless sceens :lmao:

Edie acting clingy and whiney is totally out of character. She needs to strap those thigh high leather boots back on and starting fighting with Susan again.

Questions:
Whose house did the new people move into? Mary Alice's or the family who kept their son locked in the basement? Weren't Mike and Carlos living in Mary Alice's old house -- I guess Mike has moved in with Susan but where is Carlos living now? With Edie? I'm so confused. I barely recognized Dana Delaney.

How much did Macy's pay to be the store where Bree shoe shops?

Shouldn't Julie be in College this year?

Actually, I think in Wisteria Lane time it has only been a month since they got married. I'm pretty sure the card Susan gave Mike in the show last night said something like 'Happy 1 month anniversary' which is why I think the timing could make it either Mike's or Ian's (depending on how far along she is...she said she had irregular periods so I don't think even she knows how far along she is at this point). But, yeah, the maternal age problem is another dramatic way to go and is definitely a possibility as well. It should be interesting to see how it plays out.

This is the theory my dh and I had when we watched last night as well. :thumbsup2 The fact that Julie said that isn't the same girl also made me think that literally is not the same girl she knew as a kid. I think it will be an interesting story line either way.
