I started making reservations for a few restaurants. I couldn't get a BOG dinner until near the end of my trip. I can't book ROL dining package or Candlelight Processional. Do these packages come out later in the year?

CP packages are usually released around August, that's why some people have little luck reserving some EPCOT restaurants.

ROL packages won't be released till Disney releases the full activity calendar for AK. Right now they only have it up till the end of September.

So, I have some questions that I am sure you all will be able to help me with.

What is the best way to decorate your room? I would love to surprise DD college student with a tree. This will be our first Christmas away from home ever.

We're going in early Dec so we won't need to decorate exactly, but I've seen how some people bring lights to decorate their windows with, or window decorations (using suction cups), and that seems like a lot of fun! If I were going over Christmas, something I might do would be to bring holiday pillowcases for the beds - wouldn't take up much luggage room but would provide lots of color! Maybe make some paper snowflake or Christmas tree garlands that fold easily but could be strung across a picture frame or mirror. How about some photos of your family from Christmases past set up around the room to make it feel personalized? You could bring some holiday tablecloths or placemats for the table/desk in the room. And bring pine or cinnamon scented air fresheners! Ha ha! If you arrive before Christmas Day, buy holiday ornaments from the different parks you visit & use those to decorate, along with maybe putting a santa hat on the heads of any stuffies that kiddos in your party bring along to snuggle with. Cut out red & green Mickey heads to scatter around - a garland of them would be awesome!

This is our first Christmas trip! We always go during the summer (over 10 trips) so I am nervous about planning, the crowds and being a newbie! Yikes! We are going in July at BWV and returning for December 22-29th at BW club level. A Christmas trip has been on my bucket list for years and we are finally going to do it!!

So, I have some questions that I am sure you all will be able to help me with.

We thought we could upgrade our park tickets in July to an Annual Pass to use in December. Now, I am hearing that the Annual Pass would be blacked out for my week. Does anyone know?

You might want to check with Disney Floral and Gifts (disneyworld.disneyfloralandgifts.com, I think). They might be able to provide a tree decorated in Disney themes, but I'm sure it will be pricey. They did some beautiful flowers for us when we renewed our vows, but they really were expensive. Have a great time!

It is a little frustrating but I did get everything else I wanted & it wouldn't be a Disney vacation if I wasn't obsessing over something.



When i see any pop up, I'll make sure to post here.

I am right there with you on The Garden Grill. It is my absolute favorite restaurant and THE ONLY ADR I couldn't get! I am looking for a Dec 4th Breakfast. We unfortunately have 10 total so that doesn't make it any easier! I am also checking daily.... well... hourly....

ADR success! We got all of our ADRs for the first portion of our trip and I will make the last few tomorrow. We had to try later in the day to get our Ohana reservation, but there were actually 3 options available as the day went on and we got within 15 minutes of our preferred time in the end. I was glad I kept trying! Now I just have one search going for a slightly earlier BOG PPO breakfast.

Now I need tips on what to do to stalk the dessert party! I know they open closer to the date, but I am not sure what to watch to make sure we know when things open up. Does anyone have any experiences or tips to share?

We are not doing MVMCP. Too many little ones in our group that wouldn't make it and I cant justify the pricing. We will be planning around it that's for sure!

23 days until ADRs but I am having wayyy too much trouble narrowing it down!

Me too! There are so many new places I want to try (i.e. Tiffins, Paddlefish, Morimoto...) and so many favorites I also want to do (Le Cellier, Cali Grill, Ohana) ugggghhhh decisions!!!

I'll be making reservations for our party of 7 next week and I'm getting nervous. I keep seeing posts about people not getting places I want dangit I've had great luck with the TP reservation finder in the past, but I would much rather get it all up front.

We will be in Epcot on Christmas and are wanting Spice Road Table, it is our absolute favorite restaurant!! We debated staying in the resort and not dealing with crowds in the parks but at the moment we are going to book both a resort (California Grill) dinner and the Spice Road Table and then make our decision as we get closer!

I know the AP questions was answered above that it just matters what type of AP you buy. As far as decor we usually only did the windows when we used to stay at the Mods and the Values, that was a lot of fun during any season! Now at the deluxes we decorate within the room depending on the holiday and keep it simple, we cruise Disney and they have a lot of rules on what you can and cannot use, so that helps us keep things in check! For Christmas we are bringing a tiny tree to put on the desk and we buy loads of ornaments every year in WDW, so we will add to the tree nightly to keep with our traditions. We will then take our tree on the ship and add with ship ornaments and then take photos on the beach when we go to Key West and by the time we get back to WDW for Christmas we should have a full tree!! The other decor we bring are just simple stockings that we use suction cups to hang them from balcony doors. We keep it simple since we drive and space is at a premium with cruise fish extender gifts and everything else we need for the road trip and souvenirs going home!! LOL

Which 3 rides in each park would you love to get fastpasses at right away?!

Good question. I am itching to make my FP+ plans! I am going to list my faves here because with 6 of us with different preferences (+ rider switch plans) my FP+ selections require a complex spreadsheet for this visit!
