We made autograph books using Walgreens photo book online ordering service. (purse size- base price $6.99) We took all the previous character pics we had and added a few blanks for signing new characters. Arrived yesterday and they are really cute and so personal!

Our trip is nearing and I am getting so excited!! I am getting into super planning mode and I was wondering for those of you going in December, what types of things are you making/designing/taking along? I would love to hear your ideas - i really want to make this trip extra special for my kids (and my parents are coming too for the first time)

i made an autograph book for my son last year and we will use it again, although i have a disney bought one too if needed. i made some t-shirts too! I've bought up some glosticks and necklaces to take a long and even going to take one of the toys he bought off the cart last year, so we don't have to buy a new one (the light up type of toys they sell before the parade!).

i have a little 'gift basket' of stuff for my niece, but shipping most of it in advance this week to get her excited (she lives in OK, i am in TX).

what about a little bag of goodies for the plane ride, snacks, books, crayons etc. to keep them entertained on the plane?

Okay, don't laugh. My babies are adults, but like I've said before, we couldn't go to Disney when they were little, so I "treat" them like kids when we go and they love it. I bought two Disney sticker activity books at Sam's to use on the plane. One is Toy Story and the other Princesses. Last year they got tiaras for their dinner at CRT and wore them all night. This year, I am packing pearls and white gloves for afternoon tea at GF. You are never too old for the Magic!

I am about to pass out! We got tickets to D23's Magic and Merriment Event going on during our trip. I am so excited. We get a tour of the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite. I am in heaven If you want to read anything about it click the banner in my signature. We are so happy

LOL- i definitely have ZERO room to laugh, since i just returned from a long weekend trip to DL iwth four other adult women (mom, cousin and sisters). Plus i did the podcast cruise last year, with yep, my parents and cousin. left the kiddo and hubby at home. So i am not one to talk about adults....heck our last dec trip was 11 adults and 3 kids. and yes, we did do some little gifts..........so for adults, i did little goodie bags still- stuff for plane like snacks etc.? iPod gift card for downloading music for the flight? or my sister burned us a CD of disney theme park music (which she downloaded back in napster days lol). Gum is good- they don't sell it in the parks. sunglasses, rain ponchos? -make matching t-shirts? we wore them all as adults- i know we are goofy! luggage tags? I made little lime green mickey heads and put each persons name and cell phone on it and laminated it- we attached them to our backpacks, luggage or strollers. it was nice also so others could see we are DISers.

I just read what the D23 Magic & Merriment event is, and I'm not afraid to say that I am jealous as all get out. The whole thing looks awesome and you get some amazing perks.

The schedule looks a little "Griswald-ian", and the price seems a bit steep. But you really can't put a price on a once in a lifetime event, especially if you have little ones.

Congratulations to you Mrsksomeday and anyone else that was able to wrangle the event.

There are things there that you can't buy separately and this is for my birthday and our anniversary so I am not worrying about the price for once. We have no little ones just my DBF and I.

See the Osborne Lights at Disney Hollywood Studios, they are fantastic. Make sure to see the Fairy Godmother light up Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom, and the special presentations at the World Showcase pavilions are wonderful. You will have a great time.

I also suggest going to the Grand Floridian to see the huge Gingerbread House in their lobby, it is amazing. The resorts all have some type of Holiday decorations so it is fun to check them out.

Me neither. But for my trip coming up, I got a bunch of stuff on the agenda. Some scheduled, some "we'll get to it when we can."

We are also first time Christmasers, so I would suggest you readup on this thread and any others that discuss Christmas at Disney. So many wise DISers out there . We are doing mostly the free (price included in ticket )events.

MK- The Castle lighting. - ooh aah
HS- Osborn Family Lights - more ooh aah
Epcot - Christmas traditions around the WS
AK - Special JingleJungle parade

Gingerbread House at GF, Tree at AKL

We may even get over to FW for the sing-along/smores (never done)and check out the decorations at the campsites. Time permitting.

all these wise DISers pretty much covered it.

Our favorite is the festive atmosphere overall- just check out all the trees in each park or resort, they are all themed to the location they are in. be sure and check out the details of the ornaments too- so cute!

we love the Osborne lights, a must see and i recommend the weekday over weekends. Locals love christmas time too and tend to venture to the parks on the weekends.

check out all the window displays on main street or any store- decorated for the holiday.

We are doing the Candlelight processional at epcot, but even if you don't want to wait in the long line or pay for a package, you can stand near the front of the american pavilion and still hear it for a few songs at least. you might be able to see close up, but you can get the idea and the spirit!

MVMCP- again, paid event, but fun!

sleigh ride at WL (paid)

go to Fort Wilderness and you can see some of the campers and campsites decorated to the max! there are a few near the general store area that are amazing! the yard is full of lights, yard art and all sorts of fun holiday decor!

we love exploring all the resorts- all the deluxes offer something unique- the chocolate carousel (at Boardwalk or Y&B, can't remember which one)- the gingerbread house at GF etc.

another little thing I love about Christmas-time in WDW..

listen out for the festive music that is played in the parks & hotel resorts

the steel-drum band at Animal Kingdom play christmas songs (eg Little Drummer Boy) .. and one of my favourite memories of last year's trip was waiting for the Holiday Wishes to start in MK at the hub.. drinking our hot chocolate & listening to all the wonderful music !

Just paid off our trip!!! It's officially 45 (almost 44) days left! When should we expect our packets to come in the mail?

For those who have Five Belows by them and like the goodies they sell in Japan I found some awesome things!!!! My kids favorite thing is to look around in the shops at Epcot. Well our Five Below has Pocky sticks, rice candy, Hello Kitty treats, and my kids fav Japanese soda. I bought them some of the treats for their travel bags for in the car. Most expensive treat was $1.49.

45 days for us too! We paid off our trip a couple weeks ago though so we are just waiting on our mickey mail!

Got our ME packet in the mail yesterday, had to call today to get 2 more luggage tags since we are flying Southwest we are bringing more luggage. At 34 days(20 days of work). Friday is Dad's 60th birthday and puts us a month out (technically 31 days but we leave on Nov. 29 so...) so we will have a little to do for his birthday, Mom and I arranged for a cake and ballons to be delivered to him at work, but the real celbration will begin when we get to Disney!
