Wow I haven't posted on this thread in a while. It took on a life of its own :)
We paid the trip off last week, so I can't wait to get mickey mail! This is already an eventful trip and it hasn't happened yet! Half our party can't go. I had to rearrange all the dining reservations. Then, we decided to upgrade the dining. So....had to cancel some reservations to fit in dinner shows.

It's done. Now I'm all ready except for the packing. So...what to do for the next 40 something days?

It's almost midnight and my DH will not be thrilled if I wake him up to tell him I ordered pearl cages, so I'll tell all of you instead!
I saw that it's around $20 to Pick-a-Pearl so I think we'll give it a try this trip. Also saw some Dis-cussions about these super cute carriage pearl cages for only a few dollars with S&H:

I also liked the crown cages:

Couldn't decide what DDs would like, so I got 3 of each just to be safe! They are only gold plated, so I'll try some clear fingernail polish to slow down the tarnishing...hope I can get it on without globbing them up too much.

I mostly lurk and slacked off a little on the planning once my ADRs were set but I'm ramped up again...I have it all planned down to the minute!

Those look cool. Just a little warning though. When my DDs did pick a pearl one chose 2 pearls that were 7.5mm and the other picked 2 and one was 7 and the other was 8.25mm. Those cages only say they hold a 6-7mm pearl. I know there is a post on here somewhere about pick a pearl maybe see if they can hold something larger just in case you get a good one!!

I might order one for my DD since she still has her 7mm pearl here she had the larger one set into a necklace when we went.

Now that we're PIF, I'm thinking about putting in an order to flashingblinkylights.com for Christmas themed LED wands to use for the parades. They run about $2 each if ordered in increments of 12. Anyone interested? We could have them shipped to the first person down and then they can pass them off at the end of their vacation. What do you guys think?

I would be in for 3 kids

Like that snowman spinny for my daughter and a sword or something for my boys.

DoveLovesDisney, congratulations to your son! Admirable ambition and work. Wishing you all a wonderful time celebrating at CSR and WDW! Sounds like you've rediscovered the magic at Disney and will be planning more trips. Fun, fun, fun! We'll be back soon to celebrate our 25th. Have been many times, and it's still my #1 and favorite place to go! :) Can't wait for Nov 30th to arrive!

Me! That is a great idea. I would be in for 2.

I might be interested also! Hopefully I can remember to check this to keep up with it lol.

Which ones were you looking at? I might be in for 2.

I'm loving the spinning Christmas Tree Wands! Please let us know what you decide. I would be in for 2. Thanks!

I haven't heard anything yet. Last year, I believe participants registered through the active.com website, and the parade taping still doesn't appear to be listed there. Also, you will usually hear buzz on allears.net or similar websites. I'm sure someone will post here as soon as registration opens!

Can't wait...we go November 28 and come back December 5! The kids are starting to get SUPER excited!!!CR main building, here we come!!!

:woohoo: WooHoo! "Charged" in full! :woohoo:

Does that count as paid in full? :lmao:

Time to dance!!!

Does anyone else ship things down ahead of time?

Last trip we did, and it was nice to have extra things like snacks, bottle waters, etc. This time, we have a baby, so diapers and wipes will certainly be going down ahead of time. We also sent Pop Tarts and instant Oatmeal (used the coffee maker to make hot water) so that we didn't have to use too many meal credits on breakfast and my kids are early risers so I knew the would want to eat before most of our ADRs anyway.

Anyway, if you do ship ahead, what do you send?

We order a case of water, milk, and snacks from www.gardengrocer.com. They are AWESOME! We usually order online before we leave for the airport and pick a time when we know we'll be in the room for delivery. It works perfect for us. :thumbsup2

Not me. I'm a firm believer in checking the Weather Channel and then packing the day before
I tend to be a late packer as well! But I'm also a spreadsheet gal and haven't started my lists of showtimes, parade schedules, and our personal plan for each day.

Gotta get crackin!

What I would save on diapers buying them at home would almost pay for the shipping. I can see if we needed refrigerated goods, but we don't. We UPSed a box, including a whole case of water for less than $25 last time, the wipes will probably increase that a bit this time though. I will have to price it out

I've never used them, but I've heard wegoshop is good, too. I think they will go to any store and pick up anything you need, so if you are comparing prices you may want to check them out, too. We've just always been happy with GG, so I've never checked into it. So glad I don't have to deal with the diapers/wipes thing anymore. :goodvibes

Have you seen the new holiday items at the Disney Store? SO SO SO CUTE!!! Lime green shirt with mickey shape made out of christmas lights! I am SO getting one of those! :thumbsup2
