Thanks for the birthday wishes! I am thinking that we might be able to remember simple things like our ages if we dump out all Disney stuff crammed into our brains....nahhhhhh! Age ignorance is bliss

All we really need to remember are major holidays - Halloween - Thanksgiving - DISNEY!!!![]()

We are staying at POFQ Dec 19-24. I am going with my mom and her best friend who is turning 75. Mom is going thru chemo right now, but is done the end of October. I am getting really nervous about taking her if she is weak. I understand that I can get wheelchair at resort if they have any left and rent at park if not. Anyone used this service? It says parks can run out and then what woud I do?
i am so sorry- sending lots of prayers and pixie dust. i know how scary that can be- my uncle passed out at my house in May and stopped breathing- was officially dead. They somehow brought him back and after two weeks in ICU and a special ice treatment to prevent brain injury, he is now alive and enjoying life to the fullest! Hoping for a quick recovery!!!
Both my kids have strep, and I don't feel so good myself.
And this is our Ghost Train weekend.

i can speak from experience on pushing the wheelchair- my mom is losing her sight, so a scooter wasn't an option for her, but it was hard for her to walk around on her own too, due to the vision loss and other issues. So we use a wheelchair for her and let me tell you, it does get really difficult. I am in fairly good shape, always been athletic and i had a hard time after a while and had to take turns pushing with my sister. you don't realize how many ramps or little hills there are until you have to push a wheelchair(or are in one). I would definitely go with the scooter if you can. I am still praying for you and hope he continues to recover and that you guys still get your magical trip! Thanks to the many of you that have been keeping my DH and I in your toughts & prayers.
I brought him home from the hospital on Oct. 19th. He had not stopped breathing when he passed out so we never had the fear of brain damage. But having him unresponsive for almost 2 minutes is enough to give me a
Next week we have to make our final decision on whether to cancel WDW. DH completes his course of IV anti-biotic Oct. 27. Our final payment date is Oct. 28. He's still being treated for vertigo. I'm looking into the idea of a scooter rental from an outside company to be delivered to us at AKL. I'm looking at a scooter rather than a wheelchair because he is 68 & I am 65. I think pushing him in a wheelchair would wear me out! Right now he is only good for walking a few blocks, not the 4 to 5 miles a day we normally do at WDW.
Tru-Blu - I hope that you and your kids are bug free real quick and not
I myself saw our primary care doctor on Monday when I woke up with a horribly sore throat and I'm now on a Z-pack.
I don't think that's being mean to not trick-or-treat. Plus, that's a lot of money to spend on costumes!I'm a mean mom I told the kids no Trick or treating this year. They don't eat the candy and last year I spent well over $150 on costumes and accesories for the kids. So I told them I would rather take them somewhere. BUT since they have parties for school I had to do something. My 2 DDs are being babies. They are wearing a new pair of PJs and I have to get them slippers. I will put their hair in pig tails, I will darken their freckles, buy them a bib and a pacifier and they are good to go. My DS is being a PITB though. He won't tell us what he wants to be. I was hoping to get him a mask or something or wear his football outfit but NOOOO he wants to be impossible.
Make matters worse the kids can not agree on where they want to go or what they want to do that night.
Has anyone been to Ice or planning on going this year? I am thinking about it but not sure if its worth the price. For Ice and Snow its around $30 per adult and 20 something for kids.
What to do what to do?

Snow before Halloween? I am soooo jealous! If it even threatens ice or snow in Austin the entire city closes down with a "winter advisory" - schools, government offices, everything!Hard for a northern girl to take.
Maybe I will make a pot of soup while I think about snow.
