Is anyone else going insane waiting for their trip to actually happen? OR IS IT JUST ME!?

Im literally dyingggggggggggggg to go! vacation in DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I'm there too guys! The wait is killing me! There's not much to do at this time, but it will kick into high gear for me after Thanksgiving! I've still got my window clings and other decorations to make for our window at POP and shirts to make for me and the kids! DH isn't into matching shirts! I can't start working on the shirts though until the last minute-I'm waiting to see what the weather is going to be like-here in the South it can change on a dime during the fall/winter months!

I'm getting ready to go ahead and make teacher gifts for the kids and my friends at school next week. I bought glass ornaments last year after Christmas and I have a friend that can make vinyl clings to decorate them-we are the Latta Vikings so I bought gold bulbs and she will make a green viking and words for those and I bought navy bulbs to do our state emblem and family or friends names on them. I also have an alphabet soup mix to make and layer in mason jars for teachers-I finally found alphabet shaped pasta in our local grocery store. I have been looking for 4 years!!!
I'm also concentrating on losing weight before our trip-I started last Monday and so far I've lost 6 pounds!!!! No, I'm not starving, just using the Flex Plan and counting my points with Weight Watchers! I'm diabetic, so I have to be careful about what I eat!

I guess I'm busy enough for now!

I recently found out that I passed both of my PRAXIS II tests (Social Studies Content Knowlege & PLT 7-12) on the first try no less! I also presented my portfolio on Tuesday and passed with flying colors so basically I'm just sailing through my classes (and twiddling my thumbs) until about a week before we leave for WDW. I also found out that I may get one of the placements I wanted for student teaching so about a week and a half after we get back I will be leaving for my aunt and uncle's for about 3.5 months and hopefully I will find a job somewhere before next school year so I literally have no idea where I will be living less than a year from now, kind of a strange feeling...

Congratuations! After teaching for 9 years in GA, I moved to NC and they made me take the Middle School Mathematics Praxis and the PLT. The PLT was a breeze but I was suprised at some of the questions on the math. There were many calculus problems which I hadn't done in years. I managed to pass both the first time which was a relief.

I didn't have to do the portfolio which is such a time consuming process.

Enjoy the rest of your college time and I hope you get a great teacher for your student teaching.

Congratulations!! I'm a French and Theatre teacher up here in Vermont - good luck with the job search, it's tough out there, but you'll get something!

Congrats! I've heard it's not the easiest test to pass!
23 years ago(I'm telling my age! I've been teaching for 22 years!) I had to take the NTE before I could student teach. Best of luck on what I hope will be a long and fulfilling teaching career! I've enjoyed every minute of mine!

I think today is my 50 day dance I'm doing this with my fingers crossed.

DH started back on the treadmill yesterday - just 5 minutes but he did fine. Not too bad for just 3 days after getting home from a 13 day stay in the hospital. I phoned a scooter rental company last night and found that for our dates I could wait until just a week prior to our trip and they would have availablily. We'll have a much better idea by then if a scooter will be necessary. DH is just on the high side of normal for BMI but he is my weight plus 50 some pounds and I'm not all that strong. His eyesight and driving skills are fine.

I am right there with you! I have tons of things to pass the time but I just want my day to get here already! I have to remind myself that my ticker started around 250-something days...and I am down to 39!!!!!!!!!

Yes we started counting down at 297 days!!!!!!! Im sooo ready to see my family and enjoy disney world!!!!!

Well, the good news is, I got my ticker back! But now it's cutting the bottom line of my sig. What did I do to deserve this?
Although I like my new ticker, I don't like the idea of it starting back at the beginning. My other one was half way there and now it looks like I'm further away from my vacation.
