I'm so so so excited right now!!!

Just got a pin code for the blackout dates of free dining, so I was able to extend my reservation backwards 2 dates at POR from 6 days to 8 days, which mean Momma gets 2 more TS dinners to go book!!!

Because we'd already booked our flights, we ended up splitting the original stay in 2: 2 nights at CBR, room only and then the 6 nights beginning Dec 10 at POR. Now with the PIN I was able to cancel CBR and extend our original stay for the full 8 days we wanted with FD! WOOOHOOOOOOO -- love me some Disney Magic

Wow, that's great! What a nice treat!

Count us in for the December countdown!!! Just booked yesterday c my FD PIN for dec 8th-15th!!! Got a great deal on airline tickets and my DH was all for it. I have been trying to convince him for months to go. thank you Southwest!

Howdy neighbour... we'll be right next to you at POR. Happy dancing for both of us and our free dining :)

I went back and forth about a Dessert Party (because I'd read about it being near a smoking section). ANYWAY... we finally decided to do it, but it was too late. All booked.

Wow, I never really thought about it being booked already. I was debating going as well, although I think we will pass because of our other activities.

Cheer up, there is so much other magic at Disney during the holidays!!

we booked the wishes dessert party! we are going the night we do MVMCP, 12/19. We did it the last time we were there, and i swear i called everyday for 2 months and couldn't get in, but when we went they had a cancellation and were able to get us in last minute! i am so excited! my advice is to keep calling!!!

it all looks like fun, but like you said, our schedule is already packed. DH wants to do the WISHES dessert party, but i simply don't have a good night we can do it! We are going to be in the MK on 2 nights of our trip- one night for MVMCP (do they even do them on those nights- i think not?)-

Yes!!! I called today and they are running it during the party! we are going 12/19, and I am so excited. It's really awesome, and super delish! The price has continued to go up, but for guaranteed good fireworks viewing... totally worth it! i am thinking about moving our CRT ressie up though to create a bit more space between the two...

I am almost a complete newbie here (lurked for a little while), but we are booked at AKL Dec. 2nd-9th. The DH and I didn't take a honeymoon, so now it's turned into a honeymoon/2nd anniversary trip. We've got ADRs at Boma, Biergarten, Akershus, Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, Sci-Fi, and Raglan Road (not in that order, though). I'm going to keep trying for Le Cellier...I'd trade just about any ADR for that one. For all intents and purposes, this is our first trip to WDW. Sooooo excited!

Hi Everyone -

Sorry, I was busy running my daughter all over so was offline last night. Yes, the Toy Story Breakfast is with Mousetacular. They posted it on their Facebook so I registered. I just double checked the website and it does show 7:30am

Has anyone gone to MVMCP? I'm trying to figure out if it's something I should do with the kids, but I think they're too young yet to really 'get' it (well, not my son, but DD is way too young to even remember the trip ;) )

Is there a place I can find out more about it? Like, what time the holiday parade is? and what time they do holiday wishes? If they didn't happen too too late then it might be worth it, but if it happens late then my son will be too crabby (haha, 'crabby' is an understatement :lmao: ) to enjoy it.

Thanks!

Actually they are doing it on MVMCP nights! I have reservations for when we are there for MVMCP. :santa:
awesome- thank you! we might check into it, but it might be sold out already! unfortunately DH's mom needs to decide who else she is bringing or if she is bringing anyone at all, so i know how many tickets to get. might be sold out by the time i find out. which is okay, i've done it before and it is not top of my list now.

so sorry!

thank you for the heads up! We did this past December and had the best seats in the house- with 14 of us, they gave us 3 tables at the very front!

What is the wishes dessert party? Where do you see the fireworks from and how much $ is it?
The Fireworks Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom gives you the chance to enjoy a self-service buffet offering a wide range of sweets and beverages, in the Tomorrowland Terrace. This location is then your exclusive viewing area for the nightly fireworks display. The Dessert Party opens one hour prior to the showing of the fireworks.
The regular price for this experience is $21.99 for adults and $11.99 for children (3-9 years old). Peak period pricing will be $25.99 for adults and $13.99 for children.
NOTE: The Fireworks Dessert Party is currently only taking reservations for most nights through December 29, 2010.
Park admission to Magic Kingdom is required.
Call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations. Pre-payment will be required.
No discounts available. The Disney Dining Plan is NOT accepted.

Our experience was- we arrived, waited in a line and there were let in- all tables were pre-assigned, so it had your last name on the table. it is held in the tomorrowland noodle station. you must have it booked in advance, it was sold out and walk ups not allowed and a LOT of people kept walking by while we were in line asking what it was and were interested and disappointed to know they couldn't just walk up. :confused3:rotfl: We were seated and immediately allowed to head to the buffet. There were three large serving bars with fruit, tarts, mousse, cheesecake, brownies, cookies, choc covered strawberries and more dessert delights. I was disappointed in the refills- i went back for the things I liked and they were always out, it seemed they didn't restock as much once the fireworks got close to starting. The beverage area was separate with tea, juice, coffee, milk, water i think. The seating area is covered and if you are seated at a table in the back, your view is not great, as the ceiling blocks your view. So most people moved their chairs up a bit. however, CMs would NOT let you move your chair up to the railing area or even stand up there, as you would block others view. I appreciated that, since being in the front, it would have been people blocking our view. There was one lady that did manage to stand off to the side up front - you can see her in the pic. You can also see the edge of the ceiling in one of the pics and that was with us sitting in the very very front. We were able to sit in our chairs and just watch from there fine with our location. It was super cold and windy that night too, even the ceiling didn't help block the wind and cold. so be prepared! We could not really see spectro from that location, but the fireworks were great! here are some of our pics:

We've done MVMCP twice now- including just this past December. We had a 2yo, 3yo and 5yo with our party of 14 and it was fine. We took it easy earlier in the day so that the kids were well-rested for a late night. We had strollers too. We like MVMCP due to the extra hours we get in the MK- we don't necessarily care about all the ancillary shows. although we do love the parade and holiday WISHES- those are typically the only two shows we watch. We always skip the first parade and ride rides instead and the lines are non-exsistant as most watch the first parade. We rode barnstormer 3x in a row, tea cups, all of fantasyland during that first parade with no waits. Then we catch the parade, usually from frontierland area, due to less crowds, but want to try for main street this year for the snow falling. holiday wishes is incredible too! We love the cookies, apples, cocoa and juice. Great little treat. Just the holiday spirit and character in holiday gear is nice too. Again- since December hours are shorter for the parks, especially with MVMCP going on, we like to do it for the extra time!

We've been to MVMCP for the past three years with children who were anywhere from 2 months old to 4 years old at the time of the party. It is a long night, but we always have a great time (the parade is my absolute favorite!). On nights when we go to MVMCP, we don't go to the parks during the day, which gives us time to rest for the party and saves money on park admission during the day.

All children are different, so please take your child's schedule and temperment into consideration. If you are already in the parks for the day, I'm not sure if I would pay extra to go to the party with such young children. But if you would forego the parks during the day, I would recommend the party at night. It has less crowds, less heat, and more Christmas magic! Hope this helps!

I am still trying to figure out what to do about MVMCP. On the one hand I think it would be a great experience as we won't make it back for a LONG time...and most likely not this time of year again. On the other hand it is a big chunk of change for my family to take out of our Disney budget. With DS3 and DD4 being so young I am not sure if its too late for them. Part of the problem is I want to see Holiday wishes and the parades...but I am not sure the kiddos would even make it that long. And again, there is that money issue of the tickets costing our family over $200. Just not sure. :confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

My husband and I will be staying at the AKL Dec 12-18. This will be his first trip, and our first trip together. It'll also be the first trip alone for us since our son was born in Nov 2009. Needless to say, I am so excited!

I'm hoping to make this a great trip for my husband. He is definitely not in love with Disney as I am, but I bet that will change come December. pixiedust:

We have ADRs for the following dates/times

Sunday December 12 Sci-Fi Dine In 4:50pm
Monday December 13 Boma 4:30pm
Wishes 7:05pm
Tuesday December 14 MVMCP
Wednesday December 15 hoping for the new Pizzeria in WS
Thursday December 16 California Grill 7:50pm
Friday December 17 EPCOT Seqway Around the World Tour 9:00am
Le Cellier 8:25pm
Saturday Decemeber 18 Chef Mickey 11:00am

We can't wait! Let me know if any of you guys will be there at the same time for any of our dining experiences or tours. I would love to meet a fellow Disney enthusiast!

Yay - just booked the Dessert Party on Wed for 12/5. We're going to MVMCP that night too! We were planning on hitting the 2nd parade so I thought this was our best option for a good view of the fireworks. I'm soooo excited, but time is going by ssllllloooooooowwwwwwlllllyyy. :santa:

Hmmm....if you don't think you will be back for a long time and probably not at this time of year, I would consider going. Is there any other aspect of your vacation where pennies can be pinched? I'm assuming you have the free dining?

For us, we pull back on the number of nights we stay in order to accomodate our overall budget. Would shortening your vacation a little be worth it for you to attend MVMCP?

I am the money person in our family, so I totally understand that Disney experiences rack up dollars quite quickly!
