**Official December 2010 Thread!!**

I just talked to Disney. At first, they told me entry for MVMCP is at 7pm this year, but then the CM clarified, "We have not been given information as to if they will allow for early entry this year."

So, I'm still assuming they will continue to open gates earlier than 7pm, even if it's not as early as 4pm, as they have done in the past.

Sorry guys, I created this thread and I've abandoned it. I've been going through a divorce and haven't been on the DIS in months. I know someone asked me to put things in the OP a few months ago. I don't know if it's possible for someone to take over this thread or how you guys want to do it??

Does anyone have a place to get Shirts for one's whole family with Disney Christmas themes?

Just some more suggestions. This is what we've done in the past--on the day we leave for Disney, we would tie a Disney character balloon to our mailbox and then let our daughter stumble upon it. She would open the mailbox to find a note from Disney. For example, we had a Minnie balloon and then a note from Minnie that read something like, "Can't wait to see you soon..." Then when we arrived at Disney and got our keys, I would quickly go to the room before my husband and children. We would tell them we were racing to see who got their first, but my husband would purposely take longer so that I could enact out plan! I would go inside the room and put gifts from Minnie on the table inside. There would also be a note that said something like, "So happy you are here!"

I know you can contact Disney's florist and have them leave presents in your room, but we can do it for so much cheaper!

This is strictly a cousins trip. (I dont have children yet) But we will be celebrating three birthdays while there. I get there first so I will be able to set up all gifts before everyone gets there!! The two youngest 6 and 14 are going to flip. They are soo excited as am I and everyone else!!!

Sorry to hear what you're going through. I hope you are doing as well as can be, considering the circumstances.

As for the thread, no worries. I think we managed to get the ADR and resort lists posted in other sections of this thread.

WOOHOOOOO so very very very excited I got the last reservation I needed for our trip. I was able to get the Wishes dessert party for Christmas Eve. I was so doing the happy dance all day today!!

We just got home from the Star Wars Symphony! It was SO GOOD!!! But, it made me sad that we missed Star Wars Weekends this year because I was in the hospital. We didn't get our last ride on Star Tours. I had to get back to this thread quick to cheer me up!

We just got home from the Star Wars Symphony!

I will be going out to Hershey to see it tomorrow night. The first time it came to this area I didn't get tickets because there was extra fees close to $30 per ticket that I didn't want to pay just on principal. Ugh, I hate those fees, why not include them in the ticket price? OK, mini rant over.

Yes, it will be back after the refurb. It is supposed to be better. You won't know where you are going, they will have a few different versions and will include more planets. Should be interesting, too bad it won't be done when we go in December.

We went to see it in Philly the first time around. It is amazing! Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to see the exhibits they have with it. We got some great pictures and made some great memories!

I had the exhibits in mind when making plans. We will be eating dinner around 3 at the Chocolate Avenue Grill, then heading over and checking into the B&B around 4. I was planning on getting to the Arena around 5-5:30, the show starts at 7:00.

Magic Kingdom

Construction for the Fantasyland expansion has begun, necessitating the closing of several existing Magic Kingdom areas. Pooh's Playful Spot playground, Ariel's Grotto Character meet-and-greet and Scuttle's Landing have closed. Pooh and Tigger will appear in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. Enchanted Grove will now be open in Fantasyland for Extra Magic Hour mornings offering coffee and muffins. The Fantasyland pretzel cart will be located near Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Frozen Coca-Cola products will continue to be available at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland. During this expansion, classic Fantasyland attractions, including "it's a small world," Peter Pan's Flight, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Mad Tea Party, will remain open.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Star Tours -- Star Tours closed as of September 8. The attraction will be updated and reopened sometime in 2011. The new experience will be in 3-D, an all-new ride that includes many of the new worlds and elements from the more recent Star Wars movies.

Animal Kingdom

As of December 19, the Wildlife Discovery Excursion in Animal Kingdom, a program for guests staying in Club Level accommodations at Disney resorts, will no longer be offered. The Sunrise Safari, available for guests staying in Kilimanjaro Club Level accommodations at Animal Kingdom Lodge, is not affected by this change. In addition, there are still other wildlife experiences available:

-- Safari Celebration Dinner, a Grand Gathering for parties of 8 or more, includes a safari, dinner at Tusker House Restaurant, Disney characters and an up-close encounter with some exotic wildlife. (Reservations by calling 407-WDW-PLAN.)

--Backstage Safari is a behind-the-scenes experience that highlights the animal housing area, the Animal Nutrition Center and the state-of-the-art Veterinary Hospital. This experience concludes with a special ride on the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, and may be reserved by calling 407-WDW-TOUR.

We got some great pictures, too!!! We got there before the doors opened, so we got to see most of it before it got really crowded. The only thing that had a really long line was getting your picture made with R2D2 and C3PO. I think I'd go there first! The line was so long my boys didn't want to wait, so we didn't get to talk to C3PO.

Unfortunately it will not be open in December.

I've changed so many of my ADRS that I don't even know where I will be anymore LOL. UGHHH I can never leave well enough alone. When I find notebook, darn kids, I will post all my new ones and all the ones I've changed.

Thanks so much for keeping up with it. I know its got to be a lot of work especially with pains like me who change EVERYTHING. LOL
