I'M BAA-AACK..... :goodvibes

I got a PIN today that gave us FREE DINING for our dates! SO... we are going to take our chances with the Pop Warner crowd! We'll be at AKL December 4-11. :yay:

Do you mind putting us back on the list??? :flower3:

Thanks! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! We get to go on the days we wanted, get the resort we wanted, AND are saving $700! :woohoo:

What pin did you get for free dining that did not black out Dec 3-11 for Free dining? I had to add Dec 2 nd in order to get the free dining for our reserved trip Dec 3-11and may not even make it to Disney until the 3rd. Thanks for the info. Glad you got what you wanted.:)

So what will your dates be tomorrow? :confused3

You need to write a PTR, the first 10 pages would be cover all of the date changes.

I had switched our trip to Nov and needed to take off a day because flights we so expensive. When I called I asked if I had a PIN that would give me free dining during the blackout dates. The CM at first said no, then asked me to hold on and came back and said YES! :goodvibes So I'm not sure, but very happy. :santa:

Nah, who would think that? You should call Guiness to see what the record is for vacation resort changes is. You gotta be close to breaking the record

I just.received an e-mail response to a question about late check in (after midnight from disney. In that e-mail, I was informed that this year no-one could enter MK before 7:00 pm using their MVMCP hard ticket. Hope someone who attends one of the early days, can verify if they had to wait until 7:00 pm. to get in MK.

It's Christmas in July: we just booked Shades of Green for December 18-23, 2010!!!! I've no idea how my mom did it since apparently their Christmas rooms book up to a year in advance! I have an annual pass to DL but have never ever been to WDW and have of course been dreaming of my grand Floridian adventure ever since I was 8 and would only wear Beauty & the Beast sneakers for a year and a half. I'm in grad school currently so that was awhile ago (heehee) however I'm currently in groveling mode :worship: b/c I can't believe my parents are finally aboard w/ my plans!

I'm not sure if we'll do MVMCP? :santa: We'd have to go the 19th, which is the last party, so I'd imagine it'd be quite crowded. Is it worth the $50 ticket per person? We're of course planning on checking out the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and I insist on watching the Jingle Jungle Parade in AK, but are there any other Christmas activities you all recommend?

I would not do the party since you will be able to see the parade and fireworks for free after the last party

Make sure you go over to the GF to check out the life size gingerbread house

This had been tossed around earlier on this thread, but we weren't sure the logistics of it. Personally, I wasn't sure if this was just a canned answer from Disney or if it's really true?? From what I've read, if they ask everyone to show up at 7pm, the lines would be so long that people would be waiting a long time to get into MVMCP. Hence, they open gates early for crowd control. I do hope someone who attends on one of the first nights posts their experience as soon as possible!

Poppygirl, I've done a few split stays, just never at 3 lol I don't really find it much of a hassle. Typically, we will do an Epcot resort for 1/2 our stay and a monorail resort for the other half. So to me, in a way, I am losing just a bit of time that switch day, but I gain time that we would be traveling from say a monorail resort to Epcot or HS since I can just walk there from the Epcot resort and we plan our days according to where we are staying. May not make sense to a lot of folks but it works for me! I don't fully unpack at the first resort and they just transfer the luggage so you are free to go to a park until check in time and really not lose much time at all. I don't have small children though so I am sure that makes it a lot easier.

We actually felt like we were losing more hotel time than park time! It all depends on when you decide to check out and check back in.

For example, last year, we started with Coronado. We were only there one night, so we arrived as early as possible on check-in day to explore the resort as much as we could. Then, we checked out as late as possible the next day (to continue to enjoy the resort) and headed to the parks. Once we were done with the parks, we checked in at All-Star Music. Because we were going to be at All-Star a few nights, we didn't mind sacrificing hotel time to gain more park time. When it came time to check out, we left as early as possible to go to our third and final hotel--the Animal Kingdom Lodge! We were only there one night, so again, we tried to stay at the hotel as long as possible.

We always bring our own car, so we just kept all of our stuff with us. Also, we have young children, so leaving the parks for a break is common for us and it gives us a chance to check-in at the next resort. And with EMH and park hours in general, we felt we still had enough time to do everything we wanted in the parks.

Thanks for the responses! :goodvibes We are doing a split stay at AKL...the first part AKL Club level and the second part Savannah View, so I'm hoping it won't be a big hassle. I just hate packing up after the vacation.

Maybe someone has some tips on how to quickly pack up at the end of vacation. We're hoping to get back to the parks that last day after we check out.

Tip on how to quickly pack at the end of vacaton: Pack almost everything the night before except for toiletries and the outfit your wearing the last day. Do not forget to add the toiletry bag to your luggage when done! (left it there in august thank you disney for sending it home to me! ) Make sure if you are using magical express that you follow all the rules for the luggage because we missed something and it caused a hassle. I forget what it was (maybe calling 24 hours in advance?????) but anyways having everything packed and ready to go the night before makes for a quick get away. We are also hoping to sneak some park time in the morning before we fly out...

I think it just depends.

I would test the waters by asking him, "Would you like to visit Disney someday?" If he says you already told him they were going, then you have your answer! You may want to wait a little while before asking him, so that it's not fresh in his mind!

Well his memory in reverse is pretty awesome he is still talking about the August trip for his 5th birthday so......plus he has a memory like a elephant anyways LOL EXCEPT like pp said when it comes to remembering..not running in the house..no shouting in the house...cleaning up room...you get the gist LOL

Here we come Mickey!! Whoot Whoot!!! Oh and changed our breakfast on MVMCP to a Dunch time (3:35) so we can have a full tummy for the parade and got our Safari breakfast for 9 instead of 8 so we dont have to be up at the crack of dawn! YAY So excited. I think (maybe) we are done calling customer service...! Dont quote me though!

Haven't posted in a while, as I figured our planning was "done". I didn't know about Pop Warner when I booked however, and we were at an All-Star, and I don't think DW, DSIL, and I could take the unsupervised kids people were describing. SO.... Now booked at Coronado Springs, and hope there is no overflow there. I had been booked on a pin from the 3rd - 12th, and simply changed my res. It should be noted that I also looked into rebooking from the 2nd - 12th with the free dining, but couldn't work it out. I had already purchased our plane tickets - they could not be changed. I was willing to pay for the extra room day, but was advised that if we did not check in by midnight on the second, we would lose free dining. That did not jibe with what I read here (24 hours) so I had my CM check twice, but she stuck to her story. Just a bit of info if you are looking to go that route. :wizard:

I need to book ME too. What info do they need, just flight and confirmation #? Also, I know that Southwest had started operating for luggage check in at the resorts, but on the ME page on the Disney site, they are still not listed as a participating airline.
