Will be celebrating DNiece's 10th Birthday December 18 - 23rd at CR! :yay:

During our FWC trip, we rode the boat from the Cabins to CR to catch the monorail and she was totally enthralled with the look of the resort. So...I booked a Bounce Back on the day we left the Cabins - made it a LITTLE easier to leave! :sad2:

If you are in Wake County, most principals will approve the education excuse form as long as you submit it way in advance. I will be filling out the form for my dd sometime during the first couple of weeks of school.

As to the A Christmas Carol tickets, if it is the David Ira Wood production at the DPAC, you shouldn't have any trouble selling them to someone else. Let me know if these are the tickets you have, how many tickets, and the dates and I might be able to help you sell them to someone.

See, i told her about the educational dismissal form, and I live in Durham Co. Also selling the tickets would not be hard. Try stubhub, craigslist or word of mouth.

I guess it's the drugs from my surgery... but somehow I missed this...

Our trip is planned for the week of Dec 2 (or 4) - 11.

Is that Pop Warner week?

If it is, what does that mean????

Please don't flame me... but, I shudder at the thought of being at Disney with cheerleaders everywhere. (Thankfully I have boys!)

Anyway, does anyone have any Pop Warner experience?

November is starting to look better and better to me... :guilty:

We've gone during Pop Warner and the only thing I can suggest is..do things EARLY. Food court early, buses early.. the earlier the better. Because most of the time they have tournaments in the A.M.

Yikes! We are NOT an early family. We have only made 2 rope drops - ever (and that was because of Star Wars Weekends). We like to close down the parks every night. We've never left a park before they forced us to. It sounds like that might be when more pop kids are around. I'm seriously thinking November might be a better choice for us. Especially since chances are good that we would be at the same resort. Without free dining, we will be in a moderate - either POFQ or CSR.

Thanks! I'm going to see if I can find one of those forms. We are in Orange Co.

As far as the tickets go, DH and I really don't want to miss the play. We've wanted to go for years now, and this is the first time we've actually bought ticktes. Now we've just got to decide on Nov. with free dining or Dec. in a mod resort (possibly with Pop Warner).

How did you get to use both discounts?? Please and Thanks!

I'm betting a CM goofed because that is impossible and they better hope someone down the line doesn't catch it or they will correct it.
We just did a split stay. We are staying at Saratoga for one night at 40% off and All-Star Sports for the remaining nights with free dining. Best of both worlds!

Thanks for the replies and that makes sense. I was pretty sure it was only possible to get one discount per reservation but there was a bit of excitement at getting two LOL. So does anybody think it is possible my 5 year old will forget by December that i mentioned the DW trip today and then we can "surprise" him with the trip in December LOL

We did video tape Hannah and Christian :thumbsup2.

Here is the slidehow, I read it outloud to them in the reveal video since Hannah was going on 5 at the time. I got some of the wonderful pictures from here on the DIS. (click the picture it will open in a new window):

We had told them we were going to Pigeon Forge and were stopping at Nashville for the night in a hotel. Then we told them we had something for them to watch and they had to be quiet until it was over and because we were in a hotel :rotfl:.

Here is the reaction (sorry it is crooked) (click the picture it will open in a new window)::

That was sooooo awesome!!!!! I love their reactions! I have been to Pidgeon Forge quite a bit and although it's beautiful I think Disney beats it hands down:rotfl:
So so cute and such a great idea!

That makes sense and that was wat I thought, but the way it was worded it sounded like you got 2 discounts on both rooms.

Not likely, they remember everything at that age.

I made the mistake of telling DS we would be eating in the castle when we went to go see mickey, and now that's all he wants to do whenever he watches a Disney movie and sees the castle in the beginning. :goodvibes

I think it just depends.

I would test the waters by asking him, "Would you like to visit Disney someday?" If he says you already told him they were going, then you have your answer! You may want to wait a little while before asking him, so that it's not fresh in his mind!

I wouldn't. A 5 year old doesn't understand time, or how long it is from now until December. I'd wait until he brought it up, and then perhaps say, "Oh, that. No, I don't think we can go." Then you can surprise him!

 Take us off the December list.

We were planning to be there Dec 2-11, but plans have changed. DH and I decided we don't want to go during Pop Warner Week.

The good news is that our trip is now 3 weeks sooner! :woohoo:

I guess I need to head over to the November Thread.

Bye!!! :goodvibes
