**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

Ok all my December Dis'ers, I need help! I'm trying to find some Disney music for my iPod. I want mostly preschool stuff, no Hannah Montana or tween stuff. I would like Playhouse Disney stuff, movie songs, songs from parades or parks, classics, stuff like that. I want to start playing it now for my boys so we can all get in the spirit and have it for the trip down there. Is there any place I can find all of this or has someone purchased a good compilation cd??

If anyone is looking to put goodie bags together for the kiddos...I found at Target in the dollar section a new supply of Mickey stuff. Pens, pads of paper, etc. Also, there are these mylar wrapped package of Toy Story coloring pages with a few crayons in it. Pretty neat.

I asked about TA's and Mickey mail, but then I saw there were a few posts above mine about waiting for the TA to forward the documents. So, that pretty much answers my question. Of course, now the waiting will be killing me!

I was thinking of decorating our YC balcony a bit, and maybe our door. We'll be decorating our house right after Thanksgiving, and I want to keep the holiday spirit going!

Everyone has me thinking now! So I am off to the Dollar Store to look for some small decorations, get a couple of "goodie bags" together for my grandsons and then to Home Depot to get some lime green mickey paint chips to make for backpack and grandson's stroller! Or maybe red Mickey's for the christmas spirit!

Okay, I am a little late jumping in the threads, but I only discovered this morning that there's a place where other people talk about their excitement for a December WDW vacation.

My name's Alicia, and it has been five long years since I have visisted Walt Disney World. I had planned to go three summers ago and when that didn't work I moved the date to last year. Unfortunatly, those plans fell through as well. I thought I'd never go back.

However, my boyfriend promised me a vacation that I could plan entirely. He had told me we could go someplace in May, but he got deployed last February. When he returned at the end of this summer, I thought to myself, what better place to escape after a long tour of duty than Walt Disney World?

Since we had to work around my college schedule, I initially picked December out of convience. But the more I thought about it, the more I remembered my last trip to Epcot and witnessing the Christmas Around the World. Now, I cannot wait to see the festivities in all four parks and watch as my boyfriend sees it all for the first time.

Because he's military and we need to save money wherever's possible, we're staying at the Shades of Green Resort, which I am very excited about. I have seen the pictures on their website and the rooms and landscape look gorgeous.

I can't believe I am going to be at Disney in 41 days. (We're going Dec.17-Dec.21) I remember back in August having a countdown in the hundreds and thinking that December would never arrive. Now, it's only a month away!

*I apologize for the extremely long post, I tend be wordy and ramble. :)

We got our ME stuff yesterday! I am so excited! They sent us the extra tags we requested too, but in a seperate envelope, so it was twice as fun!

I have a few sets of window clings I will be taking and we will also be taking some mini light up trees. I can't wait to decorate!

Got to post my countdowns...

12 Days until the Harry Potter Movie!!

33 Days until Disney!!

48 Days until Christmas!!

Welcome Alicia! And don't worry about rambling. We're all excited for our December vacations in WDW, whether we go every year or once a decade. And thank you to your boyfriend for serving!

Got our travel docs yesterday! :dance3: It seems as soon as I posted about it they showed up.

Thanks for the advice about the room. I think I might just wait and hope for a ground floor. If not than we'll deal. :goodvibes

Oh, and I reminded DH we'll have to decorate for Christmas before we leave for vacation which got him very excited. He loves Christmas and was already debating putting the tree up (I stopped him). I think we might do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. :)

Hi! Welcome to the Dis.. and yes, there is most definitely a place to get completely over-excited about your trip.. we're all soo into the planning here!
I'm so glad you are getting to go on this trip.. 5 years is a long time to go with no visits to Mickey!

I'd love to know more about Shades of Green.. I think it's fantastic Disney has a military resort :goodvibes

ps - if you have any ADRs, please post them & I'll add them to our list!

:dance3: At long last, today all our ADRs that appeared to be lost in the Oct upgrade reappeared! We have to search by reservation confirmation number but no more "Sorry this reservation can not be retrie:smickey:ved" messages. We spent the day canceling back up reservations we had made just in case. Since we make two-three TS reservations a day and one for a late night dessert and we will be there 10 days, there were a lot to cancel. But we feel so much better now that we have our ADRs back. Sure hope the Nov upgrade doesn't mess ADRs up again......

Our school Walk-a-Thon was Thursday and we got all the $ counted Friday. Oldest DD's birthday party was today and went very well.
I still need to write my article for the PTA newsletter and prepare my script for the general meeting coming up this Tuesday, but I'd rather be here, so here I am!
6 weeks to go and it's flying by!!!
