Will December ever get here??? Once the dinning reservations are make I just can't wait to get there!!!!

I'll join you on the "Will December ever get here?" I am getting so excited and December seems like a million years away - anyone know any magic spells that speed time??

I agree with you...100%!!! Once I made our ADRs, I was so excited...my 6yo DD thought we were going to be leaving within days. She has no idea how far off it still really is. Making the ADRs made it seem so much closer...and I felt connected to Disney hearing the music while I was on hold and actually speaking to a CM. LOL! I hate to wish the summer away but, I just can't wait for this trip to get here!!!

HI!

We are going to WDW from Dec 7-14th and staying at the Poly!

Here are our ADR's:

12/7 arrival day, ck in to poly, explore, 6:05pm Kona, watch fireworks from the beach!

12/8 DHS 1:00pm 50's Prime time cafe ( 1st time here) Osbourne Lights

12/9 10:15am Chef Mickey's Brunch, Pontoon boat rental, MVMCP!!! We always eat at Starlight Rays before the party!

12/10 (hopefully) Rose and Crown ADR for the CP at 5:15 show probably around 4:00pm Illuminations if we make it

12/11 8:35am Ohana character breakfast, Monorail/boat trip to see all the holiday decorations and gingerbread houses ? head to DHS to see Osbourne lights again?

12/12 10:05am Askerhaus Princess breakfast, tour epcot, 6:25pm Biergarten ( my husband's favorite) ?Illuminations?

12/13 MK Marathon day! 8:05am Crystal Palace character breakfast ( one of our favorites!), we love to go to the MK when it is empty and walk down mainstreet EMPTY! We do fantasyland right after breakfast and walk on the rides. 6:10pm dinner at LTT ( another one of our favs!) Spectromagic and Wishes night!!

12/14 Last day Tradition states that we check out of our hotel, store our luggage and go to MK for one last hurrah. Saying goodbye and until we meet again to the castle and all of our character friends, then we make a wish in the wishing well and take our last stroll down mainstreet and shop. Then at the very last minute, we go back to the resort and catch a limo to the airport. ( we always shed a few tears that day!)

So that's all folks!! Any ideas, comments or suggestions welcome!

Just noticed that the ears-to-ears site has the Candlelight Processional narrators listed ... and we'll get to see one of the "High School Musical" actresses on our planned CP night ... ohhhh, booooyyy!!

Haven't called yet to see if we can make CP dinner package ADRs ...

And speaking of "HSM" - how many of you (and your kids ...) watched "HSM3" last night?

Just made our ADR's for the trip. I think we're going to some of the less popular places to try something new (1900 Park F. instead of Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace, etc.) so that might have made a difference.

We went to 1900 Park Fare last yr for dinner and loved it! We were nervous because we had read varying reviews about the food. We thought it was one of the best buffets we at ate. The characters are sooo interactive, especially the stepsisters and the stepmother. We had an awesome time.

We always do CP, as I am a pooh lover and so is my daughter.

This time we are trying chef mickey's as we havent been there in a long time.

I am almost there on the December getting here stuff. I just need to stop off in October so I can close on our new house and move in....then I will be ready for December to get here

Oh Eileen...you made me want to shed a tear! We did the same thing last year, on our last day. We checked out early, stored our luggage and went to MK for the day. We got there early...did lots of things we really wanted to do, with the idea that we would leave right before the parade, to go back to the resort to change and head to the airport. As we were leaving, we stopped in the bakery and the candy store for gingerbread men and fudge. As we got to the gates, I turned around...looked at the castle and the tree...said goodbye , and turned to walk out with a lump in my throat. I love your make a wish idea...we may need to add that this year.
We will be there at the same time as you this year...we are staying at the GF 12/7-12/14. Due to airfare, I added another day...so we get there on 12/6 (long story but, obviously with a good outcome.) We will stay at POR but, we won't be able to go to any of the parks because we can't pick up our tickets until 12/7. We will take the boat to DTD, eat and then try to see some fireworks. But, for the rest of the week we have many of the same things planned as you.
Biergarten is your husband's favorite? I made an ADR for there...for dinner on one of our days. Never eaten there but, really looking forward to trying it out. The rest of your ADRs look great too. I can't wait to get there but, I'm almost looking as forward to eating!!!

I'm sort of heading in that direction. Our original plan was to go Sunday-Sunday. However, it was driving me crazy that we all have the first Saturday off and we're "wasting" it at home...when we could be at DISNEY!!! I priced airfare for our Sunday-Sunday trip...I ended up getting the same rates for Sat airfare vs. Sunday airfare...so, I called Disney to find out how much it would be to add Saturday onto our package. They can't put us in the GF but, they could do POR...where we were last year. Our trip now starts on Saturday, 12/6. My plan was to fly out in the afternoon to get there for dinner. Over the past couple of weeks, I've started thinking if we could get an earlier flight we could get there for lunch, and have almost the whole day. I currently have my heart set on leaving at the crack of dawn...and getting there for a late breakfast and then having the whole day. My dad says "next thing you know you'll be there by Thanksgiving...waiting to check in on Dec 7th."
I never booked that airfare...the prices have now gone through the roof. While sitting with my mom yesterday, she said "have you thought about leaving Friday nt...maybe it's cheaper." I actually considered adding Friday...getting there late...then getting there for dinner...and so on and so on. So, by the end of today, I'll be calling you to meet me on Main St, say tomorrow for breakfast...we'll only have 168 days left for them to have our rooms ready...actually you only have 164 days left but, really you can go ahead, I'll be fine to wait another 4 more days to check in!!!

WE ARE DISNEY SAPS AND WE ARE PROUD!!!

My husband likes the Biergarten becasue of his german ancestry and the music and how it looks like we are outside in a garden. The food is pretty good, my husband and I enjoyed it. My son is a picky eater, but he found enough "noodle products" (lol) to keep him happy and of course desserts!

We have so much to happen before we go, I am trying to stay grounded but it is sooo hard!!! we just want to go!!

I havent booked airfare yet, Im not sure what to do about that. With the prices going up an up oh my!!! I dont know wether to buy them now or later.

DECISIONS.....DECISIONS.....DECISIONS!!!!

Maybe we will run into each other when we are there!

eyenjeff! We will be at the Poly at the same time! Not only that but I live just down the tri state from you in the West subs! My brother and his wife live in MP as does my Aunt and Uncle. Small World it is!

We are also doing MVMCP on 12/9! I am sure we will cross paths!

Unless you want to wait for Southwest to post fares, you might want to lock in some flights. I booked in April on United and the same flight is now $120pp more! Good luck to you!

Hey!! We will be there with our daughter who will be 2 in September and a son who will be 10 in Nov. We plan on dragging her all over!!! We are probably bad parents but she is used to it. Plus when she is tired, she just goes to sleep in her stroller. Last yr she ate dinner, went to sleep and then got up just in time for wishes and then napped alittle again and got up for spectromagic. She gets the Disney freakiness from me I guess!

We're going to MVMCP on 12/18, I can't wait!!! We went last year and our then 22 month old was so excited she didn't nap, didn't fuss, took in everything and fell out around 7pm, it was great. The only day I saw to it she had a nap was the day of the Christmas party.

I think that sounds like a great plan!! As you'll have an extra 4 days to wait - maybe we could sneak you into our room!!!!!

I'm in a holding pattern now too. I've now been planning this trip since we returned from our June 2007 trip. Unfortunately my soldier husband is off to Afghanistan in a fortnight so i will be waiting with baited breath for him to return. This is probably why my focus is on the holiday even more than usual!! I've decided that this is going to be our best trip yet!!!!
