What are you waiting for? Get to Planning! :) :lmao: ;)

I love planning the trip, it one of my favorite parts. I get very sad though when I am done planning and have to wait closer to the trip to do anything else disney trip related. Thank God for these boards or I would go nuts.

I totally know what you mean!!!! It is my favorite part and can actually SEE us doing the things while I am planning!

I tend to look at our schedule at least once a week before we go so that I review or see if I want to make any changes!

I'm trying to hammer out which park we want to get to each day...not easy when the January hours aren't out yet! Don't they know I need to PLAN?!??!? ;)

We should be able to head to a park by noon on our first day, and we only have 4 things we want to do at Animal Kingdom (as opposed to 12 at MK and 7 at DHS). Should we go ahead and do our "short" day that first day? Then hit MK at 7 AM on New Year's Eve and see how much of what we want to do we can get done before it gets NUTSO?

Any suggestions?

I have a newbie question....we have our ADR's done and I have already changed one but I think I want to try to change it again. We originally had an ADR set for LTT on a MVMCP day for later afternoon (3 I think) and I now have it for 7 which I think is too late. I would like to try more for something around 5:30 or 6 but I really don't want to keep calling and changing stuff around.

So I guess my question is how much is too much???

Oh, come on get with the picture, you can never change anything with WDW too many times, haven't you learned that yet. I wouldn't even be allowed to call them if there was a limit to the amount I am allowed to change things :lmao: :rotfl2:

Go ahead, call them and change that ressie :thumbsup2

We won't tell anybody :rolleyes1

For this December trip alone, I changed my resort at least 4 or 5 times before I had to make a final decision and before it is all over and done with, it might even be changed again :rotfl:

Ok now I don't feel so bad about wanting to change it again.

I think I will call and see what openings they have and keep calling until I get what I want.

I am still going Dec. 7-13 but I just changed from POP to fort wilderness cabins

Hi Everyone!

We have our grand gathering booked for 12/7-14th at Pop (our first time staying there). We're flying from Boston and meeting our best friends from Philly with their 3 LO's...we can't wait!! We're going to MVMCP on the 11th that week. Hope to see some of you there!!:yay:

I just changed a Saturday night dinner for 12/21 (our anniversary) :cheer2: 3 times before I got what I wanted!

Now I am just crossing my fingers that we will be one of the LUCKY ones that is able to get a BOAT for the fireworks at Magic Kingdom that night -- wouldn't that be cool for an anniversay?!?!

I'm sorry, but why would you want to do that? Have you ever stayed there?

Suzanne

I have never stayed there but I am now taking my sister and my niece so I decided on there. It didn't come out to that much more when we included having to get a refrigerator. Is there something wrong with the cabins? I am planning this all by myself. This is a surprise trip so any help would be great.

The FW cabins are terrific. Lots of room, full kitchen, Mousekeeping very attentive. I think you'll thoroughly enjoy them.
I have no idea what Princess Suzanne was implying (I think her signature says it all..

)...I love FW. It has so much going for it. The buses are a little tedious (one to get around the resort, another to get from the resort to the parks), but it has its own ferry service to MK, has the HoopDeeDoo Revue on site, the barbecue, outdoor movies, campfire, boat rentals, Segway tours, horseback riding, etc.

 We are offically booked for POR from Dec 7th -14th:santa: , I need to get a room for Dec 6th, we fly in and get in at 7:20 that night... hoping to do a room only at POR (can you get a discount ,if one comes out for that time, for just 1 night:confused3 ?- the 7-14th I have boooked with a 40% off discount code from Jan, 6th was a blocked out date:scared1: ). I have booked air and all... so either we will get a room for that night on site :cloud9: or stay at airport Hyatt and catch the ME in the morning of 7th to POR:rolleyes1 !!

We haven't told the kids it is offical:rotfl: , they think we are just in "planning mode" nothing booked or offical... of course they do just assume to that we will go, since we do every year:grouphug: ;) ! lol!:santa:

The transportation around the resort is a nightmare. There are internal buses, which take you to different areas, but you better know which area you want to go to and know which bus goes to that area, or you will get lost. It can be a trek from the cabin to the bus stop, especially if you are in the middle of the loop, especially if your neice is little. There is no real theming, especially for small children and the pools are even more plain than the Values.

The cabin itself was really nice, it is the resort itself. There are bus stops at the front that go to some parks and the others are at the back, so you really have to be familiar with the resort and the bus system to really enjoy it. You will spend alot of time traveling anywhere and most of the time when the park buses get to the resort, they are already full of guests from whichever other resort is sharing that day.

I would just rather spend my time in the park than trying to figure out which bus goes where. We ended up using our minivan and that was no fun. I certainly don't want to discourage you, if this is really where you want to stay, because as I said the cabins are great, the resort is nice and tucked away, it just isn't ideal for most people. I prefer a more direct route to the fun.

My signature has nothing to do with saying we didn't enjoy FW. I do have a hard time choosing where to stay with so many choices and it also depends on what mood I'm in for a particular trip and how much my budget is. The ferry to MK is usually shared with WL. We can get the same feeling there without the headache. Transportation for us can be a struggle anyway with 2 on ECV's, but even without them FW is a headache and I don't want to put up with that on vacation.

If it weren't for the horrible bus system and the full size bed in the BR, we would probably stay there again.

I even did an extensive amount of research, but you don't understand until you get there just how complicated the resort really is. After a week, we still didn't have it figured out and that made a much anticipated vacation on the anxious. Most of the time, I have a new resort figured out with in a matter of a few hours, not FW

Just booked POP December 26 thru 29th.

Just a quick trip to see the decorations. !!

168 days, but whose counting :rotfl2:

Well, I am quite disappointed, I had booked WL from Dec 13-21 and now I have to move to POFQ or POR, because DH's hours have been cut back, at least I don't have to cancel completely.

I am waiting to re-book when the AAA aget that has my ressie switches it to the new AAA rep, then I hope I can get POFQ or POR, depends on how long and ugly she wants to be :confused3

I don't need all this drama:sad2:

Suzanne

Count me in! December 13-17, POR. Never been in December, so we are trying a short trip to see how we like it. :cool1:

I will be done teaching for the semester, but am taking the kids out of school for a few days.

We really want to enjoy the holiday decorations without the crowds.
