Official Dancing with the Stars Season 7 Thread!

I think she has an attitude. She is a good dancer, face it if she wasn't she wouldn't be on the show. As far as the above reasons for not liking her, I agree she has confidence, but that isn't why is don't care for her. Goes against the grain, true, but that isn't it. On a previous show and who is David Cook? I have no idea she was ever on TV before and I couldn't tell you if David Cook is the principal of the local school or some big shot Hollywood star. Never heard his name.

No, I don't care for her because she does have the "I am better that a lot of people attitude" and comes off as snotty, to me. Will they get to the end? I don't know. One week they suck, the next week they do much better.

Again, the editing that is done also puts her in a bad light.

I don't really see her as having an attitude. I suppose that's debatable as well.

I think a lot of people don't like her because
A) She has confidence
B) She goes against the grain
C) She was previously on a different reality show
D) She had a fling with David Cook

You should add being Mormon to that list.
She doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs, or fornicate. Maybe that's why David Cook quickly put some distance between them. From what I understand she's very outspoken about her faith. I don't particularly agree with Mormon's but it's not exactly known for being a stuck up group of people.

I honestly don't see what the Lacey haters are seeing. I know some people scoff at confidence and tenacity which I attribute to simple jealousy.

I think her attitude comes from some of the crazy judging that she has received. How can two judges give a 9 and one give a 7? I didn't know of her until this show but I think she has done a great job in shaking things up a bit.

Who knew? Maybe I am a Morman, too since I don't drink, do drugs, smoke or fornicate! I do know a lot of Mormans, and they are not all the innocents that people expect. However, that is neither her nor there. Hate is a strong word, I certainly don't hate her. How could I since I don't know her. I think the producers show her as beiong one with an attitude and BTW< she has been reminded of it by the judges, too.

The DWTS program has a clear bias and wants certain people gone. Look at the grouping last night. It's no coincidence that Lacey and Lance were paired with two of the worst groups.

Those of us who have been following Lacey prior to this program know a different girl who has far more integrity than DWTS is willing to give her. I don't think she'll be back next year because she threatens their top performers. If they didn't want a tenacious newcomer trying to make a name for herself then they should stick with established dancers.

:snooty:

She did say in one of the first shows that she had a crush on Lance, but guessed that wouldn't work out. Ya think?

After seeing Lance without his shirt last night, I don't blame her! I never picked him for having rippled abs. Cody too! He looked more like a man with his shirt off than I expected. He's so boyish most of the time.

So do you know Lacey personally? Since you don't personally like her.

I wonder if the main reason Cody is still in this competition is because Julianne was his partner. I think Julianne is more famous/well-known than Cody.

Um, no, I don't know her personally. When I said I personally don't like her, I meant I didn't like her personality. I'm sure you knew that, but for some reason you feel the need to comment on every opinion of Lacey that isn't the same as yours. Geez, talk about attitude.

The crush on Lance thing was a bit of fun and a bit of sarcasm. I had a "crush" on a gay friend in college too. I suppose I deserve to be hated now too. :confused3

Seriously kids, take it outside. I check out this thread because it's about DWTS, not this childish bickering. :sad2:

I find it interesting that you can dislike someone's personality with you don't even know them.

"Geez, talk about attitude" is ironically a comment dripping with rudeness and attitude. You make me laugh.

Are you a friend of Lacey's? I'm really not trying to be sarcastic, you just seem so passionate about your feelings. Most people who comment on reality shows only know what they see. And I could go about why I don't like her; the attitude, it's all about me, etc. Of course, it's only what I see on TV. And you do have an attitude, it comes through loud and clear. Not just with me, but with everyone who comments on Lacey. And unless you know her personally, there is no difference between you being a fan and me not.

I agree. I enjoy checking in with this thread for fun and for some escape from the intense political threads. :scared1: Let's keep this one friendly, guys! :)

Tony did go to NYC at least for one week to rehearse with Susan. I know AMC is her job, but couldn't they have sent Erica on an unexpected family emergency so that she could practice more? I think she cost them a lot of points last night in the group dance. She looks so out of place, stiff, and uncomfortable.

Soaps tape about 2½ - 3 weeks in advance. Plus they are coming up on the holidays and usually go on hiatus for a couple of weeks, so they want to get in all their storylines & episodes shot.

If they were being honest, I think none of the producers, writers of AMC or even Susan, herself, thought she'd be on DWTS this long. Who would have thought she'd outlast Toni Braxton? :confused3 I think Susan's fan base is responsible for that.

So, jumping on Susan's fan base, it's actually in AMC's best interest to keep Erica visibly on the show as much as possible during this time, (even if it hurts her dancing,) and for the few weeks after she's finally voted off, maybe even create a more juicy storyline, to lure back old time watchers who used to watch Erica years ago but stopped, and decide to tune in again, for the first time in years, because of watching Susan on DWTS. It doesn't help if, when they tune in, she's not in the storyline, to keep their interests.

A little aside: I remember Asian actress, Mia Korff, was cast on One Life to Live, as the original Blair Daimler, years ago. She was on the show for a while, and she got cast in a Broadway play. Just before the Broadway show opened, Mia ended up being replaced on OLTL with a blonde.

I always wondered if Mia voluntarily left the show, because she decided she wanted a Broadway career instead, or whether OLTL's producers wouldn't work around her Broadway rehearsal & performance schedule, and Mia was forced to make a choice, as to which show to go with. If that was the case, Mia made a bad choice as the Broadway show closed, in like 3 days, and hasn't really been in the acting scene, whereas the current Blair has been on the soap for about 15 years now.

There area couple of political threads out there that are downright civil. There is the occasional militant voter who isn't happy with other people's votes but for the most part the jabs and jokes are met with laughter and tact. Go figure.

I think it JanetJetson might secretly BE LACEY!!

I mean look at the pictures.......

Seriously though, if you are friends with her, that is great. Tell her that I thought last night she was great and I loved the Jitterbug too. But you are being quite rude to those of us who are just saying how we feel from what we see.

I also liked her Tango now that I remember back. It was very different and very cool especially their outfits.

However from what we have seen on the show, she has a bit of a I am better than you attitude. They do have new dancers come on, some work out and some don't. I don't think there is any Bias. I LOVE Louie Armstel but he is rarely on now, but still involved.

Yes, you're right. There are a couple of political threads that stay pretty good-natured, and that's great! Others? Not so much. ;)

Back to DWTS.

I wonder when the dancing pros have the time to do all the choreography, pick the music, etc. Do you think they do it on their own, or do you think they have help? I'm sure much of it must happen before the season begins...

I thought I read on the site that the music is picked and assigned to them. They only have the week to get it done.

Seriously debate in PM's but let's keep it out of the thread, keep this thread nice and not full of bickering.
