Oh my stars! That Flamenco transported me, and they totally deserved those scores. LOVED it.

I know Derrick isn't universally liked, but he an amazing choreographer. Kelly is very talented. I'd like him to work with women who weren't as gifted and see how far he can take them.

I know she's not wearing any less than any of the other women, but her torso is so long, and she's so curvy, that I see more skin than with the other gals.

I really dislike Derick so it pains me to say that the Flamingo was great. I liked Ingo and Kim's dance.

Aly's Rumba was a little forced and 10s were generous. She HAS improved so much since the beginning and I liked it. It wasn't 10 worthy, though.

She's a young one. It takes a while to be comfortable with yourself, let alone with those moves. She's a totally different dancer compared to those first weeks.

ugh! You're right. The kids distracted me and I was paying more attention to the commentary and I have a "thing" for the Flamenco.
It was fantastic.

Oh, Derek mentioned having to do the flamenco. Since I don't know what it looks like, I thought they did it as their first dance. But, then every other couple was dancing their "regular" dances. Now it makes sense.

Anyone else thing that dance with Jacoby & Karina was too dark to see clearly? I don't have HD TV. The walls were black. So was the floor and their costume. I found it hard to see any of their steps.

We didn't even get to see Zendaya's dance! Something weird happened with the satellite. I was really surprised when they started, because I though for sure it was going to be the Hip-Hop until I saw that run. Then, they were being judged!

Oh, but it's completely different from ballroom. At least that's what all of the trained dancers say.

mmm, yeah. Derrick did most of the heavy lifting on that dance and I'm left wanting, darn it! She did such a fantastic job on their first dance. Kelly was only half there on the Flamenco. Ugh, the grandmother on "Strictly Ballroom" was more present than Kelly.

It bothers me that Zendaya has been in dance training since she was 8 years old.

I admit, I really like the way Zendaya performs, so I might be a little biased...

But she is an actor who, as a kid, took dance lessons (and she has to learn very rudimentary hip hop dance moves for her TV show- hardly pro dancer caliber stuff). She can pick up on a routine quickly.

How is she so different from Kellie, who was a cheerleader for many years? She also had to have some native dance talent and has to be able to pick up moves and 8-counts quickly. And, to a lesser degree, Aly- she is an Olympic athlete who is used to training hard and learning routines.

I put these 3 ladies on the same footing when it comes to ballroom dance training and talent. They are all very good, and their backgrounds have been helpful in their success on the show. I would hardly say any of them is a "ringer".
