Official Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2019

Well, that sucks.

And of course they were going to choose Ally since she going to be dancing for Disney/ABC now.

So, it's a forced thing you think... as in the producers tell them they must vote that way? If so, that sucks. I can't believe those judges would work for a show under those parameters. But, it's all about money in the end.

I can’t believe that others didn’t vote for James to keep him. He was my favorite from the start.

Maybe people thought he should stay home to be with his wife?

James was a bit off tonight (understandable). I wonder if he maybe asked to go home. I don’t understand why they chose Ally over him. Although she has improved 🤷‍♀️

To top it off, the bottom two pitted Sasha and Emma against each other. That's going to be a long ride home tonight.

There is no way ally has done better than James this season and their votes are supposed to take into account the whole season. If he asked to leave abc should’ve handled it differently cause this just annoying viewers and obviously no one is voting for princess ally!

Several years ago, I saw Bruno being interviewed, then a year or so later, Len being interviewed. Then some years after that, Val being interviewed. And EACH one of them, when asked about the competition for the show, they each said, "The show is what it is. . ." And left it at that. It wasn't until VAL said it, that I realized what an unusual statement for each of them to repeat.

That kind of statement, in linguistics, is called a "verbal ambiguity." Where the sentence is purposely left vague/ambiguous for the listener to fill in what they think the know the sentence to be. They never do say this is a competition show. Or purely a competition show. That is for US to fill in and THINK. "The show is what it IS." Well, what IS it REALLY? It's a reality entertainment show designed to get ratings for ABC. It happens to be in the guise of a dance competition. :rolleyes1

And we definitely saw signs the Ginger Zee season, how ABC really tried to push her at us to win. It's also why I didn't want to watch when Sean stayed on. As I DO believe the producers have a hand in who they want on and who will stay.

Another time Maks and Bruno definitely voted 10s for one star, and the producers CHANGED their votes to 9s, so GINGER had the first 10s of the season the following week.

It reminds me of, The Hunger Games. If you saw the first movie, the producers were able to set fire to part of the forest to force Katniss back towards where the other players were. In a sense, I think the producers tell the judges who they should give higher scores to, to keep certain stars in. :sad2:

Ally is their Golden Girl this season. She will be performing at Disney. And if she wins, she can dance in the tour as one of the winners. :rolleyes1

I remember the thing with Maks and Bruno and the 10's and the whole Ginger thing. It's just frustrating. Grr. I just really enjoy the simple escape of watching the dances. I wish it wasn't so political behind the scenes. But, I guess nothing is simple anymore.
