I don't think he was as bad as I've seen in the past. Some stars couldn't even remember the dance steps and had to be literally pushed & dragged around. But, no way should have have gotten 5's over the other people who got 4's.

I think that's why he got higher marks. They want to keep him around as they know he will be so unpredictable.

I think votes will keep Gary in for a while like Cloris Leachman. And who was the really bad dancer in one of the first few seasons that Bruno and Len got so mad at because he wouldn't wear proper shoes? It seemed like he was in for too long too.
