What a weird week though. They had three nights of scores and voting for this one elimination.

They also said that the last two were not the bottom two, but Sabrina was the lowest one. Wonder who was actually in the bottom two?

I think she just isn't as well known. She was a Disney Cheetah girl and that's not quite the target audience of DWTS. I think that's why the Disney channel kids never go all the way to win, their fan base is different.

Not all of us got to vote on the east coast. The show was pre-empted last night & tonight by the news because of hurricane coverage. I only got to see the tail end when Sabrina & Louie were hugging after it was announced they were going home.

I remembered to vote for Gilles last night as I happened to see this thread, not because I got to see him dance. I voted for him last week.

I knew spreading out the votes over two weeks could be potential trouble as anything could happen between the two weeks.

Crap! I voted for both Apolo and Sabrina. It just goes to show you that ANYONE can go home if the highest scoring couple goes home. I guess America would rather watch Val & Kelly swap spit and paw (I originally said something worse, but thought better of typing it ) each other in practice and on the dance floor. As much as I like V-V-Val, I would have preferred to see Sabrina and Louie continue.

Derek has an injury similar to Melissa's. Except his is an old one that has flared up again. I don't remember the season, but he once went to the hospital in an ambulance too. Mark is going to dance with Shawn next week, then Derek will hopefully be back.

I LUCKILY am in between two different areas of the city with power outages.

(The latest estimates are that 4 million people are without power.) I heard on the news last night that one of the main power plant buildings, just several blocks from me, was flooded, and that was a good several hours before high tide was expected to roll in. I was expecting my power to go out too. Luckily that plant doesn't power the same neighborhood it is located in.

We actually didn't seem to get as much rain here as the surf & wind pouring in & causing all the damage. One of our cable stations show 24 hr traffic cameras of different intersections throughout the city. One is of Times Square, also several blocks from me, further inland. Every time I looked, there were several people milling about.

I've been staying indoors, nice and dry with my cat.

They did say at the end of the show that voting for the East coast would be open until 11am the following day. So I think that elimination was going to happen anyway. Not that I agree with it.

Their should have been no elimination last night. Too many people on the East Coast did not even get the show and power went out shortly thereafter. Besides, I really think those folks had more important things to do than vote for DWTS.

Were they doing that again on Monday and last night? It's a little too obvious that something is going on between them. I know people speculate about different pairs throughtout every season but these two there is no denying.

why all the hate for Mark?

Hate is a strong word. I don't hate Mark, but I don't enjoy watching him dance. I think he overreacts and overexaggerates every single movement. It's like watching a monkey on steroids. No, an overly hyper monkey on steroids.
