Because of her age she can't officially run (with a number) but she can run it unofficially. But I do believe she has to run with an adult too.

Can you leave the kids at the youth club to run? I have not looked into the policy of leaving kids on the ship.
When I ran it in October the kids club was not open on the island yet. Also, there were no medals :-(. You couLd buy a tshirt at a kiosk right where the finish line was. It was really hot even first thing in the morning, so plan accordingly and hydrate lots before. There is water on the course.
It was fun to say I did it, but the course was nothing interesting, and it was super hot.
