It looks like a lot of people are throwing around June 30th as the date from last year. If you check the first few posts on this thread, you will see that the first narrators were announced on June 29th / 2017. And the bookings opened up on JULY 1st / 2017. So, likely some narrators will be announced several days before it's available for booking.

For those who are staying up all night waiting for the reservations to drop, get some shut eye and wait a few more days

I chatted with a cast member earlier who said the list would be out in the fall. Then said I could just book a dining reservation now and when the list is made public switch that reservation to the package....I don't think that's how it works! Not too helpful....

Fall?!!!! UGH I know this is a first world problem but I really wanted to finish my dining reservations and take a break from Disney planning until FP time came up.

I really don't think we'll be waiting until fall. That cast member was incorrect about converting standard reservations to Candlelight packages, so they were probably also wrong about the timeline for booking these packages.

I am planning our first trip to Disney on 12/15. I called to get clarification on the meal part, as we had to choose our ADRs a week or so ago amd the dining packages weren’t released yet. I wasn’t sure how that worked with the CPDP. The woman that I spoke with said to make an ADR for the meal we wanted at the restaurant that we wanted and it would work with our CPDP. I’ve since seen on boards and posts that that is not how it works. So apparantly not all cast memebers are well-informed. Thankfully us newbies have experts like you guys to help plan!!

I am a newbie to booking Candlelight processional packages, but I have years of experience booking various special Food and Wine events. The phone CM's, although friendly enough, are often totally misinformed.
Anytime they say something can be "converted" beware.

I checked the website and it said to check back for more details. I wonder if tomorrow will be the magic date.

I know, and I am tired of that phrase! I also looked to see if the package had been added to the dining selections and it had not been. I really want to add our package so I can feel sort of "done" with ADR's. I also wish I knew the narrators but since they are usually not finalized when I book my ADR I have learned to just try to guess based on the previous year and enjoy whoever I see.

I completely understand the frustration! While we obviously don't know the inner-workings of how Disney plans their schedules and releases for things, it would just be nice if there were consistency across the planning/booking process for all of these special events. [wishful thinking!]

With our very short holiday trip, we are not even able to do the CP this year (hopefully sometime in the future!), so I am just monitoring things hoping that all of the people out there waiting will release a few non-CP reservations I've been unable to get since my 180.

That too! I want to book Coral Reef, but I prefer not to book it as a CP package, and it is not available yet. I booked Le Cellier. I am frustrated becuase this year, our party of 7 may be more difficult to book than when we had a smaller party. As it is, because my family is splitting several time I have ADR's in two MDE accounts, and needed to do this when I could nto find ADR's for 7 and split for that as well, so if I need to split for this, I am worried I wil get even more flustered keeping it all straight.

If you’re looking for a non CP package Coral Reef, the dinners were all loaded Thursday night through 12/28.
