***Official Candlelight Processional Dining Package Watch - 2018***

154 days our from our Dec 3rd-7th stay at Pop Centry. Booked dinner at Coral Reef (honey's EPCOT restaurant of choice) on the 4th and dinner at Tony's (I know, I know) on the 5th. What we still need is a Candlelight Processional breakfast package for Dec 4th. The last 2 years it has been available at Ale and Compass. The year before that, it was Olivia's. Any thoughts on dining package breakfast options?

A CP Dining Package breakfast all the way out at OKW?! That's interesting. I sure hope they stick to restaurants in either the Boardwalk or EPCOT area.

Hopefully, we can snag a table at Garden Grill. That's why I've been watching like a hawk.

The last two quoted posts express my frustration. We are doing only one Epcot day, and I have three days to choose from. For me, it all depends on the narrator. And this choice will determine the other two days. I am also planning on doing the Christmas party, and because I'm waiting on this, I don't know which night to choose, which means I can't buy my tickets. I also can't make ADRs for the other nights. I just don't like being in limbo. I know it may be awhile before I find out the narrators for my dates, and I realize I may end up having to make some decisions without that information. But I'm hoping that this partial list that may be out any day will include the three dates I need.
I am waiting too but booked Chefs for a tuesday night. I will cancel that and hopefully just book the CP package for the same restaurant for the same night. Book your restaurants of choice, then cancel them once the packages come out.

Our three days at Disneyworld are Dec 4th, 5th, and 6th. We decided to forego MVMCP and take advantage of the Magic Kingdom''s Extra Magic Hours on the 5th and Extra Magic Hours at EPCOT on the 4th, giving us the maximum number of hours at the parks. Hoping the narrator is a good one! Last year I think it was Whoppie Goldberg. Love her! ♥️

The 4th is the day I am looking at for CP. It was the only day that worked as I was to take advantage of the morning EMH at MK and AK. I am there the Nov 29th - Dec 5th

Looks like we both had the same idea. Great minds think alike!

Well, we want to eat at The Wave one night and Ale and Compass for the CP night. Then we will just do CS at the party. I have The Wave booked each night for 6:30. It would make sense to book Ale and Compass for 5:00 each night as well and then cancel which ones we end up not needing. I just generally don't like tying up ADRs for others who want them. I'm being really bad because I also have two DVC reservations right now as well, one at AKV and one at BRV. My plans are going to determine whether I stay at BRV the whole time or do a split stay between the two. That's another reason I want some info. I need to release some things for others.

ADRs are set up to where Disney won't let you make twon reservations fornthe same time. They will ask you to make one and cancel the other.

As long as they are one hour (and I think, 5 minutes) apart, you can. I just went in and made ADRs for A&C for 5:00 each night. That time was open every night. My ADRs for The Wave are at 6:30.

Understandable! I'm pretty sure I will have the choice between at least 2 narrators during our 5 night stay and it definitely works out better on one night than it would the others.....but I can rearrange a couple of my days/evenings to accommodate. Still, I tend to be a planner so I get your desire to know all the details!

I have an Artist Point and Ohana 2 hours apart. It's killing me to have to drop Ohana in October because I cannot get it in December (I tried at 180 days out, first thing in the morning) and Artist Point isnt taking ADRs past Oct 28th!

I, ttoo, am starting to get annoyed. Even the super nice cast members I've spoken with on the phone are getting impatient. Our day at EPCOT has already been determined (which is why we're anxious to book our table) so we aren't basing our plans around the list of narrators, but i do hope it's one we like. I don't think there's been any "bad" narrators per say. It's just a matter of personal preference.

I am not too concerned about who my narrator will be, being we have never been before. Has any one had a truly bad narrator or is it just because some are so good that you worry about it?

I suppose that people want a narrator that they know and love from whatever walk of life they come from, that they can identify with. I'm booking this for my parents, but me and my family won't do it, just because my kids won't be able to sit through it. My parents will love this, but because of how they live their life, they have no clue who NPH even is! On the other hand, they may very easily be excited about Jaci Velasquez. So, "good" is maybe just more "personal".

I've never had a bad narrator, per se, but I did have an unfortunate experience. Andie MacDowell was the narrator. She was so nervous! She accidentally repeated the same verse twice (between different songs!), and became increasingly flustered. My heart actually ached for her, because she was so obviously out of her comfort zone. I don't think she has ever been back as a narrator. But even with this experience, we still had a great time!

The first time we had Andy Garcia.... fantastic. The second time, we had someone I wouldn't have chosen if we had had other options (won't name her as other may love her!) but I wasn't impressed. I don't think either of these two do it any more, though. The overall music and experience is very moving no matter who is the narrator...but some are definitely more popular than others for a variety of reasons.

We are far more interested in the meaning of the show, the phenomenal young men and women who sing and the musicians who actually perform the show and do all the heavy lifting than we are in a celebrity narrator who simply reads from a script......that’s why see the show year after year after year.

We live in the north east, but our neighbor’s son is the musical director for a high school in the Orlando area that has been selected in the past to perform in the show and we know how much preparation work goes into each performance. To see some of these young folks become light headed and even faint during the show from the heat and having to be pulled off stage is heartbreaking. Our standing ovation at the end the show is for those musical groups who put everything they have into these performances!!

That being said, we’ve never had a bad narrator, but if given the choice, I can certainly understand why some folks might just simply prefer one over another and it’s great that they have the choice.

I’m confident that no matter who the narrator may be, that if everyone truly watches the show and appreciates what they’re seeing then they will have a phenomenal time!!

Any clue when they typically start releasing narrators?
