Depends on where you go. If you get it at CRT I believe it is $15 but if you get it at the GF I think its $25.00:confused3... maybe someone can better clarify?

The Cinderella Slipper dessert is $15 whether you pre-order it at CRT or through the GF Bakery for delivery at a GF restaurant. The mini-castle cake is $25.

She actually said they will make it there at WL..so we shall see. Honestly Im not real worried about it. Were just gonna eat it, ya know. ;)

Yes, we did do a shoot at WL last year and I did post the pics in the photo shoot thread. Im sorry they didnt show up. I do not have them on PB anymore, BUT I am working on reuploading all my old Disney pics so When I get them done I will PM you. They really turned out good....as a matter of fact we have another one schedualed for the day we arrive (in just 15 days) Woohoo!

Ohh thanks so much-- I know for sure we want to do the photoshoot, just trying to wait a bit closer to see about the weather to pick a day... I hope that doesnt end up bitting me in the rear :scared1:

Only 14 more days until we rub Humpreys nose :wizard:

Megan we will be there the same dates as you.:goodvibes
Maybe we will see ya around the lodge. Good luck with the shoot..They will do a great job. We are doing ours the day we arrive..I didnt even think about the weather.:scared1: I heard it doesnt rain much in December, so If anything we may be a little hot in our long sleeved attire. ahwell. :)

Sorry to hijack the thread. ;)

Sorry if this has already been asked but I don't have to time to read 200+ pages. If you saw my post below you know I have actually been on the dis for a while but had to create a different user name to ask questions pertaining to a surprise for someone who is also a DIS member :)

So my question: Is it possible to get one of the mini wedding cakes delivered to either Raglan Road or to our room at CBR? If not I have someone in our extended party who will pick it up for me and drop it off in our room while we are at Raglan Road. But I really don't want to make this person do that if I can avoid it. Thanks. :)

The only way is to pick it up at the Boardwalk Bakery.

I called this weekend to find out if I can get a specialty cake delivered to our room and mentioned that DD has severe peanut and tree nut allergies, after a call to the Boardwalk Bakery the CM who was helping me said they can't guarantee a cake that hasn't been exposed to peanuts and tree nuts. Just wanted to check with my friends here on the DIS to see if anyone has had a positive experience while avoiding a possible exposure to these foods. TIA

Forget this post- I spoke directly with the head baker and she gave me our options, it sounds like it will be a lovely cake to celebrate Mom's retirement!

If I am not mistaken they are two different prices now. One of them increased this last year. Can anyone please verify the slipper prices at CRT and the GF? I think the 1900 Park Fare one is the one that increased.

I agree. I didn't think they were the same. I know at one point they were $12.50 CRT and $14. GF. Then I thought they changed to $14 and $20.

Also the mini castle cake is now $30.

This is our first trip where I haven't ordered a cake....now I am feeling a little twitchy about it! I can't decide if I should quick order one....besides Thanksgiving we aren't celebrating anything this trip.

hello all
I am ordering a cake for the first time for my son's 7th birthday surprise in June.. I have looked at the cake thread here, but does Disney have a site where you can view cake ideas as well??

Thank you!

no sadly they dont have an official site- which is why we have our wonderful disboards! between the cakes and all the varieties and the different resorts- its kind of hard for disney to start up a site. altho it woudl be a great idea!

check through here for pics, and theres also a cake picture thread, but im unsure of the page- can someone help out?

i suggest focusing on his fave character if disney related and pitch it to us and see if anyones gone with it down there.

Are Boardwalk Bakery and Grand Floridian the only two places where you order the mini wedding cakes from? I'm staying at Beach Club and wondered if I can order one to be delivered via in room dining? If not I know I can go across to Boardwalk Bakery and pick it up. I'm also going to Gardenview for tea at the GF. But I want to order the Cinderella slipper there.

Thanks!

They may be able to. I would call their in room dining and see.

I think their cakes either come from the Boardwalk Bakery or the Yatch Club's baker so it's worth a shot. :)

thank you! I asked him and he said Mickey Mouse.. then he said Toy Story, then he said Test Track! :lmao: so I really don't think he cares.. :lmao:

I think I may just go with the main Characters.. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and see if I can try to find a cool cake already done.. I want something colorful.. but not "girly" (obviously since he's a boy :lmao:)

Thank you!

your welcome! haha- i know- i have a two yr old and for now hes settled on nemo. so im on the hunt. certain restaurants do better than others. cp from what i read only has a standard podium, whereas the restaurants at the contemporary can customize them as the grand floridian restuarants. there is a cake either in here or in the pic thread that has the main chrachters on it, but i think its a screen print- which means its edible- but doenst taste very good. there is also a mickey head cake that many people get and have raved over sicne it was what they want. good luck- and keep us posted!

You may just want to go with the "Mickey Head" cake for $48.

Here is the photo-only thread the previous poster was mentioning:

Hi! I wasn't sure where else to put this... my parents have an ADR for Sanaa (my mom really wanted to just chill out and watch the animals) on the night of my mom's birthday, and I would really love to arrange for them to have a cake, but she's very much not into being sung to or anything--if I arrange for her to have a cake presented to her, will there be a whole thing about it? Or can it just be a quiet thing?

Also--any recommendations re: the cakes? :) I don't know if there are different flavors or anything, but if there are, what's your favorite?

Hey everyone, I just ordered a Cinderella slipper dessert for both CRT and the GF cafe (slipper overload, I know). I didn't get a price at GF, but at CRT the slipper was $12.50.
