Does anyone know how big the anniversary cake with the white chocolate Minnie and Mickey topper, white fondant, and silver Mickeys is? Is it a 6"? I can't post pictures yet because I don't have enough posts! Thanks for the info!:)

You can get that style in a bunch of different sizes, but usually the one you see people get is 6 inches. :thumbsup2

I know these aren't really custom cakes but I thought I would share. I wasn't charged extra for the "Happy Birthday" writing or cake holders just $3.99 for each. :goodvibes They were yummy!

Could someone tell me where I would order these to be delivered to Tony's Town Square. I called the cake hot line and the CM said they don't have these and I told her I seen them on the DIS boards and she then told me not to believe what I see on here. OMG I can see the pictures with my own eyes yes they do have them. Do I call another number? I seen you can get these at the Boardwalk Bakery but I would love to have it for my daughter at Tony's, any help would be great thanks.:confused3

You can only get the tiny ones at the Boardwalk Bakery. You might be able to get a large Mickey Head cake (for a large amount more) at Tony's though. Call back.

I ordered a custom cake for $65 for our anniversary dinner at the California Grill this past Thursday.

Brian from the California Grill made it to these specs: Haunted Mansion, chocolate and raspberry, and small. We chatted by e-mail and phone a bit, but I really left it up to him- and I still can't believe the results!

I got it as a surprise for my husband and was amazed when the hostess brought it out. Our server said she couldn't bring herself to cut it.

It was soooooo much more than I expected! He wrapped it in the Mansion wallpaper, made tiny skulls, bats and coffins with skeletons, added the drapes like the hostesses outfits and then topped it off with a "gold" chocolate frame with Constance and one of her late husbands surrounded by black and blood red roses! AND- it tasted as good as it looked! The chocolate cake was spongy and not too sweet while the raspberry filling was incredibly fresh tasting.

We ended up sharing with some other couples around us, but we froze the top pieces and part of the front because we couldn't bear to destroy this beautiful work of art!

and now, PICS!

Those are the individual sizes and can only be purchased at the Boardwalk Bakery. You can, however, get a much larger mickey head cake but I don't know if you can get it at TTS. I know you can get it at the Monorail resort restaurants.

I guess Brian is proving that the GF is not the only place that can do amazing cakes. It looks absolutely awesome! I was thinking about getting my DD's birthday cake by the GF for 1900 PF (if they ever return my calls), but now I'm wondering if I should switch it to our CG ADR.

I am so glad you were surprised with my design. I look forward to creatingagic for you in the future!

The Haunted Mansion cake is soooooo cool! Would love to see more pics of the detail! CakManBri, are you the pastry chef at CR? I am hoping to order a cake for CG in September, but I still have no idea what I want! Need to get it figured out soon and get it ordered!

I'd also like to know Brian if you do the cakes for The Wave. I've talked with a lady there. I am requesting a very special Tinkerbelle cake for my daughter. It will say "I TINK everyone has the right to my opinion". Does that sound familiar to you? This is just such a special trip for us (celebrating life) and I would love if you were doing the cake. Your Haunted Mansion was fantastic.

Not sure who you are talking to :confused3 but the guy in the pic, I believe is not Brian nor was the person posting it. Brian is the guy who customized the cake for them. You would have to call the Wave directly for your cake.

The OP of the pics said the cake was made by Brian at Cali Grill, not someone at the GF.

I was talking to CAKEMANBRI. I believe that is Brian that did the cake. He has posted on this thread. I have called The Wave and it is all set but I would love to chat with him specifically. Maybe I should have done it via PM. Sorry.

I am the cake decorator @ the Contemporary Resort. I do all the cakes for Cal Grill, Wave and Chef Mickey's.

your best bet is to call Pat with the cake hotline. She can coordinate with the GF Bakery as to a "proposal plate". Your choice would be either a chocolate rose or a chocolate Cinderella slipper that you can put your ring in. "Will You Marry Me?" is written in chocolate on the plate, and presented by the server.

Another option would be to order a glass slipper from Arribas Bros. in the Magic Kingdom. They can inscribe the slipper with your names and proposal date. You may need to sneak away and pick this up yourself. Pat can bring this to the bakery, and the same inscription written in chocolate on a large white plate can be done. Then you have an additional souvenir to take home.

It's a great presentation, and always gets a YES!!
oooohh i like this idea! were or how could i get this slipper and could pat do this?? im working overnights this week and just woke up to a voicemail from her  wish i had my ringer up!! i did pick up the ring this week though what do you think???
