Tinkerbell - very cute cake!! I assume the Tink topper was a keepsake?

Pooh girl - yes, you can get a cake at Narcoossee's, from GF bakery. Call Linda at Private Dining and she can help you customize a cake for dinner.

Thank you so much!!! I'm so excited!!!

I just had the top layer of my wedding cake (a recreation) delivered to Narcoosees. I had Dining note it on my ADR too, but I called Linda

Wow, that is lovely! I will be at wdw during my 14th anniversary and may order a version of my wedding cake topper from BWV.

Your cake was gorgeous! Do you mind telling me what they charge for that? Also, where did you order it from? It would be great if I could get it delivered to Coral Reef for our anniversary.

Has anyone had a Peter Pan themed cake done by GF bakery? If so can you post pictures. Actually I'd love to see pictures of a Peter Pan cake from any Disney bakery.

I'm having a real pickle of a time trying to figure out what kind of cake I want for DH's 40th birthday. All he's been saying for the longest time is how he never wants to grow up. So my immediate thought was Peter Pan since he didn't want to grow up either.

I've also entertained the idea of a Mickey Mouse cake since we love Mickey Mouse but thus far I haven't seen any Mickey Cakes on this threat that I absolutely love.

So if anyone can give me info and/or photos, I would appreciate it.

Here is our wedding cake from the GF bakery. It's sugar crystals all over the cake that's making it sparkle.

Here are pictures from my birthday. We stayed at BWV in a studio and it was fabulous. DBF had a cake delivered to the room from the Boardwalk Bakery. The cake was marble in the middle... amazing.

I really like your cake. When I 1st started following this thread the cakes looked amazing & I couldn't wait to order one. Unfortunately, with the exception of a few from the GF bakery & one or two cakes from other locations(i.e. the Christmas cake Catrinabeach posted), they've pretty much looked like cakes you could get anywhere to me. I was beginning to think they were sick of doing the special order cakes. I'm glad to see there's still some really special designs being created.

Sorry if this was asked before. I looked and couldn't find it.

Can you walk into the BW bakery and buy a 6" cake? If so, will they write something on it for you?
I would like to know this also.

Ok I have a delimma! Ds will be celebratign his 5th bday at wdw on aug 8th. WE were originally goign to LTT for his bday, but plans have changed, so cake plans need to change. Here are our choices:

Order a cake to be delivered to our room at AKL.
pro- its on his bday
con- We are going to Arabian Nights that night, so no clue when we will be back to the resort!

If you go with this option check out the AKL unoffical thread. There was a goregous AK themed cake on that thread! Looked awesome and yummy!

That Tinkerbell topper is available for cakes from Wal-Mart, Food Lion, Lowes Foods, and I think I saw it at either Kroger or Harris Teeter.

My Dh and I will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary on a special trip without the kids..we're even going to splurge and have the deluxe dp. It's coming up quick (we leave March 29) and I'm having a hard time deciding on a special cake to surprise him with. We are having dinner at Narcoossee's the evening before our anniversary... Does anyone have any great examples of anniversary cakes from narcoossee's? I was thinking of maybe doing the minature wedding cake...but can't decide. On our anniversary we are eating lunch in the castle and late dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse (where we ate after our wedding  2 yrs ago) So I could surprise him with something at one of those places instead..I just can't make up my mind :confused3

This is what I would choose. Celebrating at a restaurant would be more fun than celebrating in the room for a child, I would think. Plus, CRT is a pretty cool place to be when you celebrate. And, getting it earlier in the trip will give you more time to eat it throughout the week. I don't really think it matters that it's not exactly his birthday. 4 days is close enough for me. We usually choose the day that is most convenient for us even here at home, for example, we almost never have parties on the kids' actual birthdays but rather choose the weekend closest to it so it's more convenient for others to come. :goodvibes

Thanks. This is what I am leaning to, also. Just have to remember to call before we leave!!

Now we are going to get a cake delivered to our room at AKV through grocery delivery and maybe get the small one at Chef Mickeys for effect! We may want to view Wishes after CM's and don't want to lug left over cake around.

I want to be able to order the small 6" white cake that is used for birthdays that supposedly each restaurant has and doesn't have to be ordered and I think its $8.95.

I just ask for it when we check in to the restaurant or do I call ahead?

do all restaurants have it? thanks !!;)

I believe you just tell them when you get there. I'm not sure if ALL have it but I think so.

I'd love to do a "welcome to Disney" cake for my kids' first day (Chef mickeys) or something for our last night (LTT dinner). Which would you recommend?

It's more like $13, but it should be available everywhere.

Any Grand Floridian cake you see in this thread should be available at Narcoossee's.

Ditto with Boardwalk Bakery at Yachtsman. CRT cakes come from MK bakery but I can't say anything you see here from MK will be available - we ran into quite the wall when we tried to order a cake at CRT, the options presented were very limited so we opted for the slipper mousse dessert instead which was divine.

Our cake from BW Bakery was delish but I think the GF bakery does such a fab job with decorating that it would be my choice,

What you plan to do after you eat is a factor too, if you plan to keep the remaining cake. That is why dinner when you are heading back to the room after is the better option. Best option of all is in-room delivery, IMO.
