I called AKL directly and the number is 407-938-3000. I'm going to try to figure out how to upload our photos, not sure if I can. I really want to share them - good luck with your order! Keep us posted.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I think that the photos are too large and I apologize. This is my last try for now.
The cake was delicious and designed with a safari theme, since that was the theme of my DS's 13th b'day.
I forgot to take photos of the inside. It was a vanilla cake with choc. creme filling. The icing looks glossy because the cake was sitting out for awhile before we got back to our villa.

Im thinking about ordering a cake IF DH and I go next December and wanna have it delivered to LTT on the night we do MVMCP. So heres my questions: Does MK Bakery deliver cakes to LTT? And also, how long does LTT stay open for during MVMCP? Im hoping they dont close until MVMCP is over, cuz Im gonna want them to hold the cake for me until we are ready to leave. Also if I ordered the cake the day before we leave and we dont go to MVMCP for 4 or 5 days would it be to early to call and order the cake? I wanna make this a complete surprise for DH and if I call while im down there, Im afraid it might ruin the surprise.

You can call the cake hotline and ask them for a cake to be delivered to LTT for your dinner. Not sure how fancy it can get but just ask them and describe what you want.

The LTT stays open only until 9:30p party nights.

We just left our cake for the tables around us to enjoy.

They only need about a week's notice so you can call before you leave.

I saw a pic of a christmas cake that i liked a lot so im gonna try to go with something like that. Its on page 2 of this thread. Is there anywhere else I can take the cake to and they can hold it for me? If not, I know CRT can hold cakes to. How late does CRT stay open till? We wanna go to MK when they close really late like 11pm or 12am - non-MVMCP day & non-EMH day. What time does CRT close on those days? We can just get the cake from there instead. Or what about the lockers? Will the smallest customized cake fit in a locker? Then again, I dunno about that, cuz I dont want my cake getting a bad taste for sitting in a smelly locker. Theres gotta be a way where I can have someone hold the cake for me during MVMCP. Someone on these boards have had to have done it b4.

I remember reading somewhere here that they can't do PIXAR cakes. DD really wants a penguin cake for her birthday, like Wheezy. Would they be able to do one from Mary Poppins with the penguin waiters? We're going to have the family party here the day before we leave, so essentially I could make a Wheezy cake here, but getting one at WDW would be extra special.

Did you happen to find out about any other options? I'm still trying to find out if the strawberry & custard filling is available for cakes from WL, so I can decide if I want to get the cake delivered to our room with DS's gift basket or if I should try to get it for dinner at Poly or GF.

We ordered a cake from WL to the room for DS. They only write on the cakes, no theming. I guess there are only 2 people in the pastry area and the chef said he was limiting the choices. We had chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and frosting. They did a wonderful job. They did have a flower on there...neutral colors and beautifully made. Of course, I forgot to take a picture. :headache:

Ours was the 10" and it was 3 layers and ALOT of cake. There were only 4 of us, so we cut the cake in half, plated up half (we were in a villa) and took it down for the night girls at the front desk. :)

We still had cake left when we checked out. Very rich!!

I don't remember if they had the custard and strawberry filling (the one with the cut up strawberries). I do not think so. I spoke to Carol at WL when I ordered and Blanche when I confirmed the order the day before our trip and both are wonderful to speak with and very helpful! Give them a ring and they will let you know all the choices available. It was not a huge list. :goodvibes

That used to be the case but no more. The only cake I think they cannot do is any Pooh characters due to copyright issues.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has gotten a high school musical cake while at wdw? I was going to call the cake hotline and see if I could get a cake delivered to our room at cbr, I don't know how it works, but I was prepared to call the Boardwalk Bakery also, depending on what they say. So I wasn't sure what kind of cake to get my daughter who is turning 9, but I think high school musical might be a good bet. If anyone has gotten one, please share the details, and if you have pics that would be awesome. Thanks:)

I would order one for each of the girls. Everyone can get a small bit of cake ( there are seven of us in total) and each birthday girl gets her own castle. Does this sound like too much?

I think it is completely appropriate to do this for the two birthday girls - it makes it special for them. Each girl will get their own chocolate castle, and everyone gets some cake.
