Unfortunately, we miss my birthday by a couple of days because i am doing a levels right up until the 28th (when we go to disney).

But instead of having a birthday party at home, we are hoping to go for a special meal or do something for my birthday whilst in WDW.

Are you there for your daughter's actual birthday?

I hope your daughter has a :bday:

Our daughters birthday is 14 june but she will also be in middle of a levels (hopefully going to cardiff university in sept)
we are celebrating at CRT on the 2nd night party:

Mine's 19th June.

Oh wow! I've accepted a firm offer to study Business Management with Spanish at Cardiff.

What's your daughter applied to study?

Thank you! That is good to know. I might just go in and see what they have available.

I have seen a Mickey cake in the display case at the BW Bakery. I think they have it for sale there, but they may not be able to personalize it. I have been told by one CM that they can't, but another at the bakery told me they could write on the ears as shown in some of the photos in this thread. However, you may have to order it in advance to get this personalization. On one version the face is decorated on, on the one at BW I think that it is an edible disk with the face already on it.

We'd like to order something very small for dd's 6th birthday from Chef Mickey's on our last day. There are only 3 of us and I'm afraid the 6 inch will be too big of our last day. Does anyone know if there are any other options?

They will give your DD a festive free cupcake (and signed placemat). The non-personalized 6 inch cake for $12-$13 is the next smallest item.

I wanted to do the same thing for my grandsons who will be 2 and 4. We are going to Chef Mickeys for dinner. When I called they said if you are going for dinner there is a huge dessert bar, and thought the cake would be a waste. So I am just letting them have the cupcake and I am bringing hats and BD stuff for the table. I will just go in first and set it up really quick or give it to the front person and have them put it on the table before she calls our name.

I am not concerned about getting it personalized anyway. I did that last trip as a suprise for my dh for our anniversary. I liked having cake to munch on evenings in the motor home. :) I was usually too full from meals to even think about desert so this way I could have my desert later.
It was very yummy!

Thanks for your response.

does anyone know exactly what the glass slipper desert is? is it white chocolate with strawberries? i'll be there in aug. for me and my boyfriends anniversary and i wanted something small.

The slipper looks great.Do you ask them to add the name when you order it and will they always do it?
This is what I want for my 40th birthday at CRT as a cake will be a waste for just 4 of us on our last day.
Thanks

When you call to order it you can tell them you want Happy Birthday and your name on it. I believe they will do it when asked.

This is a great thread!!

We will be in WDW memorial day weekend with my in-laws. A few days later is their 50th Anniversary. I think I am going to get them one of these special cakes (Dairy free as DH & FIL are lactose intolerant!) !! :)

Dentistry it is a conditional offer of AAB but she should be ok
I think cardiff should have a disney club

I spoke with Poly Private Dining today and I am pleased! This should be the same info for cakes served in restaurants and in-room delivery.

8 inch cakes and larger can be customized. $25 for the 8 inch.

Cake choices: chocolate, yellow or marble
filling choices: chocolate mousse, white chocolate mousse, strawberries and custard or fruit mousse
icing: chocolate or vanilla buttercream

Forgot to ask about characters, but they seem ever so much more accommodating than my conversations with other hotels.

She said NOT to call too far in advance, one week is plenty of notice.

Has anyone ever ordered a birthday cake with tinkerbell on it from anyplace? Are they available? We are going end of Sept beginning of Oct. and would like to celebrate DD's 10th birthday.

TIA for your help.

Thanks,

Pat

P.S. Love this thread!!!

God, I hope she doesn't read this, but I am hoping that someone here can help me. I would LOVE to get a Stitch cake for Gabby.

Our upcoming trip is in honor of my 40th birthday, which actually happens during our trip, but Gabby's birthday is just 15 days prior to our first day in the parks at WDW. I would love to make that day into her surprise birthday celebration. Now, I stink at surprising her, but if this could remain a surprise, I would love to get her a cake with Stitch in board shorts doing a "hang loose" sign and holding a surfboard on the beach. She would freak! It would be so awesome!

Any hope of ever getting anything like this for her delivered to Kona Cafe at dinner? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Maggie

If I order the mini castle cake (i believe it's only available from GF bakery?) where would I be able to get it delivered? we're not eating there, but i wanted to surprise my boyfriend. Can it go to our room at all stars?

Call the Poly number listed on page 1 here and ask to speak to private dining. They'll fix you up! Details of what I was told when I called yesterday are a few posts up.

The GF Bakery provides cakes only for guests of their resort or restaurants. There is no cake delivery offered to mods or values, sorry. Some people have reported picking up cakes from BW Bakery but it's hit or miss, depends who you get when you call. Others have reported seeing cakes for sale at the value food courts.

Can you order a cake at a TS restaurant for your surprise instead?
