What kind of cake did you get and how many did it serve? It looks adorable.

As bad as it sounds I have no idea.... I just said I wanted the nemo cake.. lol

We only cut one piece.. We were all full from he dessert that came with dinner. I dont think the 6 of us would have a problem with a piece.. I think they said it served 4 but seemed bigger than than.

Disney is expensive! LOL Possibly, all good cake is expensive. My DS's Whole Foods birthday cake in July was $45 - it was 8 inches and they charge $10 for every 15 minutes of decorating.

That's it exactly. Good cake is expensive no matter where you are.

We ordered a half-sheet cake from a local bakery with white cake, fresh sliced strawberry filling, and white buttercream frosting for my grandmother's birthday. No decoration other than the standard flowers and "Happy 90th Birthday". The cost? $110. The same bakery gave me a quote of $75 for a 12" round cake with Aurora on top, in the same flavors as we had for my grandmother's party (we decided to stick with the grocery store cake for that party, on the basis that 5 and 6 year olds don't care about the difference between good cake and great cake :rotfl: ). That really put the $40 Disney cake into perspective for me. And of all three cakes, the one at Disney was the best! :goodvibes

Thanks for that, she's had a look and likes it.I'll contact Coral Reef and get it sorted.Do you pay in advance or on the day?

You should also try to arrange a diver with sign as a suprise...

I've organised the diver and menus already, its just the cake now. Thanks for your help.:thumbsup2

Yeah.. I am sure she will love it... just a little fyi with a problem I had... they did not put the pics I had sent on the menu . I ended up with an ariel themed clip art. Even though I emailed the pics in ahead of time and confirmed they were received. It also took them awhile to come out with the personalized menu so I am guessing they printed it after we got there.

Fingers crossed for when we go.I've sent pics and they've said that they have got them so i hope it goes ok.We are doing the Segway tour in the morning as well so its going to be quite a day.:)

How much does it cost to have the diver deliver a birthday message? TIA!

We were not able to get into Coral Reef this trip, but that sounds so awesome!! We are considering a bday trip for my dd6 and dd4, and now that I have seen the pics and heard about the diver, we might try that for them!! Thanks for the pictures and the info.

Just wondering, what has been your favorite cake flavor/filling and frosting? I plan on surprising DH with a 10th anniversary cake for dinner at CRT, but not sure what to try, we love cake of all kinds. :confused3 I keep missing the special order bakery, so I have no idea what they offer. Help!

Thanks!

I know this has been asked and answered before, but the thread is too long to find the posts. I am planning a last minute trip to SSR with my special someone for the first weekend in October. I would really like to have the tuxedo (or just plain dipped) strawberries, a bottle of champagne, and two of the Mickey flutes for us. Can anyone help in how to go about arranging all this? I don't think I can have anything delievered to SSR, so what would be my best option?

Thanks!
Melanie

This was my birthday cake a couple weeks ago. DSO ordered it from WL In-Room Dining. They delivered it to our room.
It was chocolate cake w/ chocolate ganache icing and a chocolate mousse filling. It was very good, but very rich. It was delivered on Tuesday morning and we still had a little left on Sunday when we checked out.

I think you can contact the Disney Florist and have things like this delivered. I know they do baskets. I sent champagne and a cheese & cracker tray to my brother and sister in law for their Disneymoon. They were really great with sticking to a budget. I just set a price and they went with it. I can't seem to find the # but I'll post it if I can locate it soon.

I called the GF bakery yesterday and spoke with a very nice CM named Doug. I was also sugary sweet as I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted, LOL. So we will have an 8 in vanilla cake with white chocolate filling and Sleeping Beauty on top delivered to our GF room on Sunday evening. Don't ask me how much because in my excitement I forgot to ask, LOL. I will call back and get the price. It will Say Happy Birthday and our daughter's name. I'm so Happy!!! Thank you all for this great thread. :thumbsup2 I'll take pics and post when we get back.

Thanks everyone! I will contact the florist today!
