We received that box in a gift basket from a GF Guest Services Manager one year. We were in a GV room (which happened to have a good deal of the lagoon in the view, but was definitely a GV catagory).

We had written a thank you note concerning one of the CM's at check-in - dropped it off at the front desk the following morning and when we returned to our room in the afternoon, there was a beautiful GF basket wishing us a wonderful stay - signed by one of the managers!

Very nice!!

I have only seen the white chocolate Mickey and Minnie. The red and white dress sounds adorable, though. I wonder how much they would charge for that?

Supposedly, the Minnie is supposed to look just like the Minnie on the white chocolate Mickey and Minnie but they paint the Minnie with something edible(I forgot what it is) and they offered to paint Minnie w/ her red and white dress. It sounds awesome, I just hadn't seen it before and was wondering if anyone else had. Our DD's birthday is July 6th, so I will post a picture of it when I get back. About the charge, I didn't ask how much it would cost so I have no idea. I think subconsciously I didn't want to know!;) I guess I will find out in a week!

Thanks so much 3forMe, :thumbsup2

I am going to try to go to the GF faq's.

Just looking for some cool ideas to do for hubby when we are there and I had heard of the box but didnt quite know what it was.

I am now on the hunt for a pic.

This site is so great :worship: :cheer2:

Our son bought us an anniversary cake at the Boardwalk Bakery during a recent stay at the Swan. The cake had a white chocolate mickey, which was painted, on the top. It was quite nice. You may get some idea from this. Unfortunately I have not seen the Minnie.

Here are the pics of our cake delivered to OKW. It was a 10 inch vanilla cake, vanilla butter cream and white chocolate mousse filling. It was $40 + tax.

I called the cake hotline listed on the first page of this post. I believe they had the options that are listed there as well. I will go check the first page and if they aren't there, I will post what I remember. Have a great trip!

Thank you very much!!! :)

Would it be better to order a cake from the California Grille for after dinner or order from WL and have it delivered to the room? In your opinion would one be better than the other:upsidedow

Has anyone ordered a cake for HDDR? Do you know where it came from (which bakery)? I am guessing WL ... Did the server bring out with the shortcake?

That night is our actual anniversary and I wanted to mark it somehow. We'll do a cake in the room earlier in the week ... but that won't be a surprise for DH whereas this would.

I was very disappointed with the options when I attempted to order a cake at CG. Chocolate and vanilla were the only cake/fillings/toppings they offered.

I do like to have the cake delivered to our room so I have that bias! I choose that option even though we are dining at GF, the holy grail of Disney cake bakers (lol) twice this trip because I don't like lugging it around ... and we always order a 10 inch for leftovers and greater personalization.

So, I've never had a cake at either WL or CR so this might be pointless. Do you have a particular idea of what you want? You might want to call both places and see if they can make it happen and go from there.

Has anyone every ordered a cake to be delivered to either Prime Time Cafe or Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dining? Does anyone have any pictures of the cakes from either restaurant? Are they plain jane type cakes similiar to grocery store cakes? or Are they similar to the cakes which you can order from the Boardwalk? I want to order a cake to be delivered to one of these restaurants for my son's 8th birthday. I would like the cake to be special and therefore, different from anything he has seen before.

I would sincerely appreciate any and all help in this matter. Thank you!:dance3:

I have not ordered cakes from either of these places, but there are pictures from both on the first cake thread. All of the cakes pictured show screened character images covering the entire top of the cake.

When I place my order through boardwalk Bakery, do I need to pay by credit card or can I pay when I pick it up?

You have to give a credit card number when you place the order.

So if I want to order the glass slipper at the Grand Floridian do I call the cake hotline number or the direct number for 1900 Park Faire.

And I can do it a week before right?

Sorry...I read through this whole thread before but cant seem to retain any information anymore........I promise to write it down this time!!:rotfl2:

I am planning on getting our anniversary cake for our dinner at CRT.
I have a hard time picking because my husband doesn't like chocolate. We had a yummy cake we did the year before last at Artist Point. Last year we went and picked up a small cake from Boardwalk Bakery.

I love looking at the pics on this thread and our old one. Helps gives me ideas.

Has anyone ordered cakes for dinner at CRT? If so did it turn out ok?

It will be our first time eating at the castle. I am soooooooooo excited.
